Bushi can still put other effects on cards that trigger when rode upon by another copy of themselves. The persona ride icon can be just the foundations to avoid putting on all cards "when rode upon by a card with the same name draw 1 card and your front row gets +10000 this turn, and do these things." If they don't want for a card to have an additional effect, but not the +10k to front row, they can just decide not to put the icon on that card.

Honestly even if persona ride is just a generic thing that everyone gets, so long as the actual cards have different effects I think it will still be interesting. Honestly the persona ride buff might be just a generic thing everyone gets so that everyone benefits from doing it in some way, but then they may also have "When persona ridden/when this card persona rides" effects to go along with it. Remember break ride usually gave everything the generic plus 10k but still had unique effects attached to it. The symbol might just be an easy way to simplify the generic part of persona ride so that it uses less card text, while the bosses themselves all get unique skills on top of the general persona ride buff.
I did talk with a friend about that idea. If you recall, break rides all gave 10k but did another cool thing as well. I feel like if they did that with Persona Rides then the mechanic could seriously be some of the coolest shit ever

@@tysenseisama yeah after countless of vanguard news and ur vid bring the trigger point for that idea since the best way to make g assist relevant and at the same time make it so that a possible ride deck for both formats is possible if they go for the hard once per game ruling, it keeps decks in check as to not lose with hand bricking and not make g assist non existing like the new standard is going to make it, plus to make sure certain cards I'M LOOKING AT U EZEL AND RIVERE viable but not overly powerful. Also this popped out after mentioning those two so to access the ride deck u must fail the g assist and as well must reveal it to the opponent the 5 cards u checked in the game so that players won't be doing the on my 1st turn I ride the pg that discard a grade 2 card for a cycle just so that I can abuse bomains to ride ezel
I know its a stupid ruling but it did pop up to me that players can just do that so a hard once per game and a condition to fulfill it would be better but hey I'm always open on anything to improve this maybe bushi would see this and say hey thats a good idea

Same thing with V Series. They only rebooted the card game, and everyone thought V was a reboot, even though it was only a quick manga adaptation anime with small sequels to it. This series is literally continuing off the G anime.
@@tysenseisama At the beginning of the first overDress trailer, it talks about the disappearances of the deities which involved Gyze, so that alone should completely give away that is continuing off the original and G anime universe.
I am Kinda scared about overdress I preferred the clans and I am just rather scared of the changed and how good or bad it will be Plus I am kinda scared about the change and how diffrent it is because I have not had good change a lot
No need to worry about it their is still clans that they supported twice a year and your deck that you bought from clans will still be useful also the clans for the format that still be useful only in V premium or premium format so that means you can't be scared of that since bushiroad will not have any rotation on 24 clans because the clans are many like other card games so yeah they have a rotation format because they have like 5 or 8 so otherwise you play your clans only in V premium and premium that's the thing
so while i agree with almost everything you said i hope vanguard stays away from some off the traps in yugioh, i like palemoon i hate the asethtic off nearly everything else in dark states. i dont want an homogeneous mess like yugioh gets where i am playing invoked, dogmatika, eldlitch, shadoll + 14 hand traps when what i liked was the cool dragon lady knights. i also dont want staples like yugioh because ugh that game is to expensive and stupid due to manufactured scarcity since everyone needs 3 off this super powerful card. its my only disagreement i understand playing tech cards but like i want my decks to be coherent i love luard, i love chaos not the other aesthetics and i dont wanna be forced to play to many, i get you have to my premium deck plays white dwarf but yea its just thats my one disagreement
Every stride used the mechanic in a different way, which is why it was so good. It was a toolbox of different effects that you could access when you felt like it. Now take Gifts for example, they all did the same fucking thing and didn’t do anything unique with the mechanic. Every effect was interchangeable and were independent of the mechanic. Persona ride is starting to look like a Gift scenario, they’ve mentioned nothing of cool effects that the player gets when they ride it. If every unit gets a secondary effect in addition to the 10k and a draw then I’ll be happy, otherwise? Boooooring
@@tysenseisama there might be some effects that can be unlocked by it but we will have to see but a generic thing like that is probably gonna help alot with balancing all the decks to me it looked like the gifts made that a hassle for them so we might have a much better game and hoping hear they slow the power creep cuz it was going way to fast ps sry about grammar and punctuation its 3 in the morning and i suck at typeing

Depending on how they design the cards that shouldn’t be an issue. But aesthetics comes AFTER gameplay
