    Ive owned one of their first gen tables for like 4 years now. Just a quick note, fill water table more, a lot more. It helps with warpage with the water splash back. It gets a little messy so putting up something against the wall to protect from splashes. But the table will quickly pay for itself. Also, there is a FB page a lot of customers are on, and its been crazy helpful

    • @_Gingium_

      Awesome! Thanks for the advice! I read somewhere to put 6 gallons in, but that must've been for the first gen table.

    If you don’t have a normal (paper) printer I would highly suggest getting one. You can print out parts you design and cut them out to make sure they fit before doing the same in metal. It would save a lot of money on metal in the long run. Alternatively, you could get a 3D printer for the same purpose. That would also add a lot of functionality for making components that don’t need to be as strong and/or could not be made with 2D sheets that have fine detail.

    • @_Gingium_
      @_Gingium_  2 года назад +12

      That is a good idea! As you'll see in the next video, I used some thinner gauge steel to test my designs before cutting them out in the thicker material. But even that is way more expensive than paper!

    24:03 I think you have the actual plasma on too high. It's melting the thin metal a lot more then it needs to. Play around with it and do some trial and error runs and honestly, make a spread sheet of what you found the best heat settings to be for certain metals, thickness etc. I'd probably do this for a day or 2. And then you won't struggle with figuring it out when you actually need to use it.
    Also, a question, can you cut wood with this cnc table? (I am predicting you'll need a different head unit for it)

    • @Blurgamer17
      @Blurgamer17 2 года назад

      If he fits a drill head on the mount, it could work. I'd just have something laid over the top of those grates for the water tray.

    Two CNC plasma tips:
    1. Fill your table until it is nearly overflowing. It will help prevent warping especially on large cuts and it will help keep smoke at a minimum.
    2. I know the whole table is probably grounded, but I’ve found it all works smoother if you splice in a ground clamp to clamp to the workpiece.

    That CNC plasma table is amazing. You are going to be able to make so many things with all the new tools you got. One thing I am noticing from this is... You might want to make a fumes hood for over the Plasma table. That table is making some heavy duty metal fumes.. and you do not want that in your lungs.
    Outside of that.. the sky is the limit. You could make yourself chairs, another one of your own metal tube bender, even the wall control system your using if you want. That thing is insanely powerful, and I want to see you abuse it to make all sorts of things.

    Shop looks great man. Make sure you invest in some good fire extinguishers to keep on each wall and in high spark/flame areas. Last thing you need after all this hard work is a big fire.
