Fun fact blue eyes don’t contain any blue pigment at all. Their color is actually caused by the Tyndall effect, a phenomenon similar to the effect that makes the sky look blue. And sometimes blue eyes can appear violet due this reason. In blue eyes, the stroma is a translucent layer and contains zero pigment due to a genetic mutation. When visible white light hits it, it scatters the lightwaves. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter waves, making the blue reflect most easily and making it more visible. All of this is also why the same set of blue eyes can look more vibrant at certain times than others - their color depends on the quality of light in the room so you were right when you said you saw violet.

On top of that, his eyes are just so luminous here! It was very heartwarming to hear Ewan describe Elliot Grihault as being a very wise and lovely person. He also has great range as actor. He played totally different character in The Last Kingdom.
I love the way he's so thoughtful about his character and lends so much nuance to understanding him. I am very impressed with his performance and these new insights he has shared about Aemond. Bravo!
He's too precious for this world
Thanks Esquire and special thanks to Ewan Mitchell for this interview! Ewan is just so lovely, extremely insightful and others have said, very intelligent! On top of that, his outfit here is lovely! His hair here somehway resembles that of the Targaryens', and the way his eyes are lit up reminds me of how the famous Targaryen/ Valyrian eyes are sometimes described. If I remember correctly, some Targaryens were described as having an eye color similar to indigo, like how Ewan's eyes appear to be in this interview. On top of that, his eyes are just so luminous here!
It was very heartwarming to hear Ewan describe Elliot Grihault as being a very wise and lovely person. Very different from the dynamic of their characters in the A Sing of Ice and Fire universe!
Once again, thanks Ewan Mitchell for bringing much-needed depth to Aemond Targaryen.
I don't know what it is but there's something about this man that attracts me deeply, i love him😭❤
"If a kid isnt embraced by the village, they will burn it down to feel the warmth." - Ewan Mitchell
What the..? That's an amazing quote! I really do feel like whenever Ewan speaks it is because he actually has something to say. I'd love to be able to just have a chat over fish & chips by the sea with him.
His acting and simply him, everything about him is incredible, he conveys so much, I love him
Loved this man ever since i saw him as Osferth and look at him now 😊
He has something. He is good looking, like many actors, but he might just have what it takes to become a really famous actor.
He looks like a doll 😭😭😭😭
Нет, он выглядит как сын маминой подруги. И никак иначе! 😂😂😂
Magnificent acting skills. God bless and much success for all your future ventures!
