eh I found him boring and not very Targaryen-like. He had very little depth of character at all. Sunfyre was more fun to watch, actually. Aemond stole the show on the green side. Rhaenyra was the best out of them all. She's amazing just to look at.
Tom is such a gift. He understands Aegon on a fundamental level. It’s refreshing to see an actor care so much for the character they’re playing, especially when a lot of people see Aegon as sort of a one-note villain and he does his best to refute that. His understanding of Aegon’s love for his children and his dragon is so sweet.
Ended up being actually nuanced and having very unique personal motivations. Don't get me wrong he's not the most interesting character in that world, but he just felt... Real?
Tom made Aegon II my favorite character this season. He has a way of conveying with his eyes all of Aegon’s insecurities, fears, and deep feelings of rejection from both Viserys and Alicent. Even if Aegon is laughing, or angry, you can see his insecurities in the eyes.

This supposed fandom is so effing toxic it’s unbelievable. I very much enjoyed this season. Did it suffer from being cut down to 8eps instead of 10? Yes, but that was the network’s fault; the showrunners had always intended 10eps each season. Was 208 a letdown as a finale? Yes, of course it was - but see my previous point. If Condal et al had been able to use ep8 as a bog-standard episode (as traditionally on GOT, ep8 is used to set up the Big Climactic Episode of ep9. You can clearly see how ep8 was written mainly as connective tissue, not as a finale). If it’d been able to stand alone as “any other episode apart from the finale” it would’ve been fine. Turning it into the finale by tacking on the character montage at the end was sloppy, but something had to be done to end on some semblance of intentional structure. Could the ending have been less contrived? Absolutely. But seems like the show was hamstrung by the network in many ways throughout.
Tom came off unscathed from fan reaction, Aegon, however was just so poorly realised by obvious female writers with agendas, having the comment about his genitals wasn't necessary; having Aemond turn on Aegon during Rook's Rest was ridiculous from both a narrative and logical perspective, reducing any connection with Sunfyre was stupid and having Sunfyre not show his prowess in battle was equally stupid. They need to sack the writers and get actual fans of the book to tell the story.
Lmao what a stupid take. GRRM makes comments about male genitalia like that in his books all the time. The line in the show is important because his ability to produce heirs is important. Aegon is also hedonist degenerate so it makes sense his character would say it.
