Particularly Aemond.

Show Alicent gets married at like 15 or 16, and has Aegon a year later, so it's not really that unrealistic on Alicent's end--if Aegon is 20 or 21, she'd only be in her mid 30s. The issue is that the actors playing her children are too old.
the most mind boggling thing to me is that they just can't understand how to do good intrigue. So they just leave out information, which they think no info=good mystery whereas in my opinion a good mystery is giving the tools to the puzzle, but not the instruction where here they just forego the puzzle entirely.
TBF this was never even supposed to be a mystery show. Questions unanswered by historians, such as "why did Criston Cole switch from the Blacks to the Greens" or "who had Laenor Velaryon killed" don't constitute a mystery. That said, the answers the show provides to fill in these blanks are catastrophically bad more often than not. ("Rhaenyra wouldn't elope" or "no one, the Blacks are LGBTQ allies", etc.)
@@SockPuppet80 fair, but to my understanding this was advertised as the supposed return to form that GoT needed to get out of the pit season 8 left so it's just confusing how they fumbled the bag so catastrophically.
@@aistikasmursu9432IKR, false advertisement was the cherry on top. But what the latter half of GOT missed was well-written source material, dramatic and episodic the way the first three books were. The HOTD source material was a very different beast, so any attempts to give it an "early GOT" vibe was always doomed to fail. They should've just had Mushroom narrating the whole plot saucily, made it fun and irreverent, its own thing. Maybe that would've failed too, but it wouldn't have been this miserable and pointless.
@@SKILLIUSCAESAR Yeah, it's made to be about somehow saving the world centuries down the line, a completely hamfisted subplot about daggers and destiny and babies called Aegon. But nooo, let's insert more references to GOT and prophecies that won't come to pass at all.
2:30 she literally says it is moving into place. It isnt in place yet. It only just arriving. She has been blockading on her own waiting for the fleet to arrive.
Your brain gotta be pretty drenched in cultural war to get that from this show. Go outside, talk to real people and stop watching videos like these. Your life will be considerable better from it.
I’m impressed you got this down to under 40mins. My wish is that when they release the DVD they release it with all the off-screen stuff, in screen. All the deleted scenes added back in please and make this make sense🤞🏻
In the books the Riverland support The Blacks, except the Bracken, and the Reach is in civil war, so this explain the lack of food for land in KL. But, never is mentioned in the serie. The Velaryon fleet must have anti dragon weapons, they have valyrian origins. But is never showed, this make me think why never send Vhagar to burn the ships. Aegon is his crown ceremony is showed enjoy the popular love and power, is logical that he want show the real king who is, but never was prepared. And Rhaenys, the screenwriter said that she can kill hundred of peasent in Dragon Pit because common people not care, but if Aegon kill rat hunter by a more justife cause is stupid and lost popular support. Actually, the producer said that the people in KL react bad to Meleys death because they loved, after kill hundred of they in first season. So, populat support matter or not. The travels across KL and DS are stupid and the dreams in Harrenhal too long. Daemon must take Harrenhal, reunited a army, fight the Bracken and meaby the Lannister after and you have his story for all season. But i really hate the plot of Rhaena, a princess escape alone in the Valley, nobody look her and she left the children after swear protect them. Sorry the bad english.
Aegon got affirmation from a cheering crowd he bever got from his family and you could see it on his face. That was carried over to season 2. Jaehaerys left because he was causing trouble.

So annoying to be missing that. Its the only part that couldve been hammered home harder tbh.
I might be alone in this, but I thought the Bracken x Blackwood beef was boring and jarring. I feel as though we should have been following them more closely earlier if they wanted us to care about their war. It also would have given more variety in characters and houses outside of Targaryen. That was such a big part of what made GOT so good in my opinion, having so many characters to root for in their own adventures
Rheanyra had the nerve to stand in front of Alicent still saying “A son for a son” as if Jahearys getting his head cut off in front of his mother just didn’t happen. Stupidest thing to me.
3:18 that’s exactly why I hated this season. They make Aegon the second seem stupid or lesser than everyone but to me seemed like the smartest person in kings landing because he KNOWS HOW UNSTOPPABLE VHAGAR AND SUNFYRE WERE…Hell if Aegon convinced Helaena or anyone else to ride Dreamfyre(the 3rd dragon at their disposal that’s JUST FORGOTTEN ABOUT IM PRETTY SURE)then rhaenyra loses before she even thinks about the whole dragon seed plan…
Another thing to point out about Gwayne's arrival in King's Landing is that it took him three months to travel there from Oldtown. Yet, in GOT Season 1, Robert Baratheon says it took him and his entire court ONE MONTH to travel from King's Landing to Winterfell. So, what took Gwayne so fucking long?!
Thank you very much for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the video :D Really stoked to show you what I’m working on next: every change from the books in GoT, and The Economics of Westeros 🤓
The show should hire you for continuity. I don’t mind when new information is introduced by mentioning it even though it wasn’t shown like Cole saying Alicent saved him from execution. But it’s when they contradict something that’s been established or shown, that is inexcusable.
Right, it almost feels like cinemasins where they’re calling out dialogue that goes against true events, like no shit, the characters are LYING! aegon is acting positive abt being king cus that’s how people cope when they’re stuck, Criston Cole is describing rhaenyra as a conniving seductress in reference to Alicante because he’s talking about himself and doesn’t want people to know he was toyed with. This season is very obviously transition and SUSPENSE for season 3 it’s not intended to stand on its own but people are acting like it’s GOT s8 all over again
if something is objectively shit then it shouldn't be praised and unfortunately modern entertainment has set the bar on the damn ground so I blindly fell for this series but thanks for showing me the truth now I hate it 😹😹
Don’t give Sarah Hess ideas, she’s already shipped Rhaenyra and Alicent and Rhaenyra and Mysaria. We don’t need this to turn into an ersatz homosexual relationship.
although I still enjoy the season it feels like a part 1 of a 2 part film series, hopefully upon a back to back rewatch w/ season 3 it’ll go over better
27:18 to be fair he never said to recruit Targaryen bastards, he said "There are those of our line that never ruled, those who married into other noble houses, their children both with other names." It is literally the line right before the bit used out of context and then misquoted. Clearly he is referring to people that would be essentially cousins, that are very much noble. Never once does he say LMAO lets go grab some bastards. The show fucked up enough on it's own, so no need to discredit yourself by making shit up. Do Better next time.
Hopefully this video is made mostly for entertainment and not meant to be taken too literally because many of these "errors" seem like very minor nitpicks. Especially considering all the obstacles that the show runner and HOTD team had to face. Edit: As I continued watching, I found that some of the errors weren't errors at all, and are just the viewer misreading characters and their motivations. Edit: And why tf are there so many ads? There's been four ads so far, and I'm only halfway through the video.
did yall not remember the buildup of game of thrones and how that set it up to be in the running for the greatest tv series? save the unwritten seasons but this book is finished. the creative liberties are perfectly reasonable given its literally taking from a history book full of biases. i personally think they did well with this season. excellent rising action.
Not sure if an error or not but can anybody explain why Aegon got roasted almost to death when Targaryen are supposedly blood of the dragon (like Dany survives fire and uses it to her advantage in GoT)
In the books, Daenerys was only fireproof once (miracle ✨), but in the show, she is constantly fireproof, like when she burned the hut in Vaes Dothrak. Other Targaryens like Viserys (dead by molten gold) and Jon Snow (burned hand) are shown not to be fireproof in both the books and the show :)
Actually scorpions have no effect on fully grown dragons, in the books the only way to take out a fully grown dragon with a scorpion is to shot them in the eye like what happened to Meraxes.
These aren’t all errors, like the kings guard taking them through the mob- why are you assuming the kings guard know why there is a mob at all…. Maybe they’re planning on storming the church and that’s why they decided to move to a better defendable position. Like bro. Not every little thing is an error.
I completely disagree with your episode 4 analysis... The dragon fighting feels so real to me, despite it clearly being shot in an extra cinematic Way. The Disputed Lands has a really good video about dragon warfare, which made me feel like I wasn't insane in thinking the way I'd already thought after watching it, which you should do if you haven't already. This season had plenty of problems, but it also had a lot of things going against it. They unfortunately didn't have the luxury of rewriting certain scenes that didn't work in practice due to the strike, but it wasn't _bad_ so it's kind of frustrating when people keep pointing out these things. Is some of it kinda weird and illogical? Absolutely, but they shot what was written and couldn't adjust things during shooting. I'm pretty sure next season will be much better now that the strikes are over, so let's focus on that instead of the obvious issues that were inevitably going to happen with this season
Hey, thanks for the comment. I’d love to watch the video about dragon warfare you mentioned. Could you link it here so I and anyone else can follow up? As for the quality of the show, I did recap every episode of both seasons, and made sure to point out the handful of notable things the show ever did well. It’s not a lot of things, mind, and that’s not good enough for what is supposed to be the show of the year. In this video, I never once say the show sucks. I’m simply telling it as it is, and if that sounds like the show sucks, well… Even those who love the show acknowledge that there’s an abundance of inconsistencies, so let’s be real. This world-class tv-production with all that money and resources is not very good. I suppose we could talk about how they polished the turd until it shone, but it’s like I said in the video, no acting performance or cinematography can compensate for the lack of the most important thing, which is the script. Unfortunately, the conversation that follows the season doesn’t change the season. I want to love this show, but no matter how many times I say “it’s not perfect”, it doesn’t change the myriad of flaws. It is what it is, and we either acknowledge that, or pretend that it’s good enough. I personally don’t understand why anyone would want to pretend, but a lot of people do, so I’m clearly missing something (about people, not the show). Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to have a constructive discussion. I’m looking forward to your reply 🙂
@@CultureVultureMedia1 oh no, I completely agreed that there were a lot of issues with the script this season. I think they just did what they could with the original script without being able to adjust things during shooting, and some people (not you specifically) just say the show completely sucks or has this "woke agenda" or whatever 🙄, and it's when that kind of stuff is prevalent in the "criticism" that's just annoying. I don't think this season was great. I still enjoyed it, but had more than a few issues with some of the storylines, changes from the source material, pacing, and writing in general. However, I also recognize that HBO forced them to cut 2 episodes just weeks before filming began, giving the writers very little time to condense everything into 8 episodes, and that rewriting certain scenes and reworking things during filming (which almost _always_ happens) was quite literally impossible due to the strike, so it is what it is. I'm hopeful that the next season will be better, because they'll actually be able to do rewrites/ reshoots and change things that don't end up working in practice
This dude has invented some shit out of his ass. Firstly with the Cregan and Jace thing. Then not knowing why gold cloaks are loyal to Daemon shows your lack of comprehension and forgetting stuff. But great job at making the incels mad
pretty good, but in some of these you are conflating the tv show stating something as true and the character, e.g. ser criston cole talking about rhaenyra setting a trap for alicent. he's a biased character and that's how he chooses to perceive the world, i doubt the show wants us believe it, since as you say we never see that happen
my jaw dropped while watching this video, not because he was making good points...But because he was telling total BULLSHIT in nearly all of them lmao ???? i'am going to take two just for example, and those two are two minutes apart: 1- "Why does aegon seems to love being king ? he didn't want it in the season 1 duh wHaT A TerRibLE SCriPT" well because he loved being crowned and watch people cheer for him and love him, this is what the character always wanted ? 2- ''yEAH rAEnYs fOrgOT tHe bLOCkade WaS hELd by ThE ValaRYon fleet'' ships burn and the greens have dragons too, flying over the blockade is a way to protect those ships... but yeah i guess it's easier for some to think about the memes they're gonna use in their next video rather then focusing on the show
@@mokarokas-1727 not all of them, but a great amount 1. Cole has shown his care for Alicent's kids, it is said that he has close relationships with them. And still, his shock after seeing Aegon injured is still understandable, since he's the king and Sunfyre is 50% of their power. + Aegon is still his lover's son. 2. Alicent doesn't know Aemond lost control, Aemond keeps the image of being brutal. Plus, she notices him quickly taking the dagger, not caring about his brother and Cole acting suspiciously. 3. " Why didn't the greens just burn the blockade from the begining"- because Daemon is still there, meaning Rhaenyra has 3 fully grown dragons ( 1 of them has battle experience) and 2 young dragons ( still quite big) and Corly's fleet under the sky. Dragonstone and King's landing are quite close to each other, so Rhaenyra would react quickly if there was any attack. Remember, Vhagar is too big and slow and Aegon is the king, so fighting against so many dragons and ships would be a suicide mission. 4. Lyonel Strong absolute could have been a superstitious person, if we remember from where he came from. Moreover, almost all the people during medieval times belived in different things, no matter how rational and clinical they were. 5. Jace suggestion is about trying people from noble houses, that are raised well, educated and know the price of loyalty. Rhaenyra decides to give a bunch of uneducated thugs the most powerful and divine creatures. And again, remember that it is believed that bastards are children of a sin who can't claim divine creatures ( dragons). That's why Alicent says in 1x6 " I'm shocked their even eggs hatched"- she knows these children have Rhaenyra's blood but thinks the goods wouldn't allow bastards to bond with them. So Jace is also angry because Rhaenyra is taking this argument from him too - bastards absolutely can claim dragons.

I highly disagree. I think season 2, while not as good as season 1, is unfairly maligned and treated as bad. Like, guys, come on, this show is not as bad as Seasons 7 and 8 of Game of Thrones (yet)
It might not be as bad as season 7 and 8, but it doesn't have as much rope as the original GOT which had a really solid season 1 & 2 to get people hooked. The show assumes that audiences will be around for 7 seasons before it gets good.
It's being judged by what comes after it which is fair. They're gonna follow up with whatever bs they cooked up this season and it's not at all looking good.
Can we just discuss the complete over correction of the M2 movement from Hollywood? I mean every woman in every story is a Mary Sue? I mean….. where have they all been at and every story that Hollywood has told us for the last 50 years? All I can remember is Sarah Connor and Ripley you mean to tell me now every woman on screen is a complete and total Chad.? 😂 eye roll
that's such a cope out. the script we got shouldn't have made it to the filming set, it's not like onset writers change a ton of stuff it's only supposed to be small adaptations and changes.
then they should have stopped the production until the writers came back. It's better to make nothing than to grab something good and turn it into garbage
House of Dragon season 1 had an interesting look and great actors but it made me laugh that people who attacked season 8 of GoT loved Season 1 of HoD which is filled with holes. Yes Season 8 is filled with holes but it was highly enjoyable in my opinion, more so than HoD.
I honestly feel like you watched the show to find what is wrong with it. Do the same to the old Star Wars. Do the same thing to Lord of the Rings. Lets see how much enjoyment you get out of it. This "find out what is wrong with a movie/series" toxicity that spreads through youtube is getting increasingly annoying. Go make something yourself, or just keep quiet. We got enough toxicity in the world as it is.
I do it with stuff I love all the time. They have massive issues but I still enjoy them, this has massive issues and fails in other aspects making the issues look that much worse.

Show Alicent gets married at like 15 or 16, and has Aegon a year later, so it's not really that unrealistic on Alicent's end--if Aegon is 20 or 21, she'd only be in her mid 30s. The issue is that the actors playing her children are too old.
She is at most in her mid to late 30s. 40 at most.
@@piratesswoop725 That's my point: the actors are the wrong age for the parts they play.
the most mind boggling thing to me is that they just can't understand how to do good intrigue.
@@SockPuppet80that would’ve been great. This show just takes itself wayyyy too seriously.
@@SKILLIUSCAESAR Yeah, it's made to be about somehow saving the world centuries down the line, a completely hamfisted subplot about daggers and destiny and babies called Aegon.
Could've made it down to earth instead, just two branches of the family struggling for power, plenty of room for drama there.
But nooo, let's insert more references to GOT and prophecies that won't come to pass at all.

I have a feeling that they will change the ending to fit this agenda
Yeah thats how I thought watching this show too tbh, it made me not interested
Well, that's just life in a nutshell.
The show is 90% parallel to the book. So that is what that fat author is in nutshell?
Your brain gotta be pretty drenched in cultural war to get that from this show. Go outside, talk to real people and stop watching videos like these. Your life will be considerable better from it.
I’m impressed you got this down to under 40mins. My wish is that when they release the DVD they release it with all the off-screen stuff, in screen. All the deleted scenes added back in please and make this make sense🤞🏻
That’s remaking most of the show, though... I love it.

Slight correction: it was actually Meleys who GRABBED Vhagar's claws. Not Vhagar grabbing Meleys. So she did use her swiftness to her advantage here.

@CultureVultureMedia1 the video or the season? First was fun, second not so much 😂
@@CultureVultureMedia1 Honestly great :)
Crazy that they don't let the traveling mean anything. Everyone's everywhere, royals just ninja into all castles like security's not a thing, everyone's mildly retarded...
80% of GoT was experiencing what they did while moving from point A to B. So annoying to be missing that. Its the only part that couldve been hammered home harder tbh.
The torch on the boat out at sea bothered me a little. Dude is rocking armor holding a torch inside a wooden ship out at sea.
Bro...
Completely agree, well put!
This is absolutely brutal…
No HOTD video has made me laugh so hard!!! No video of anything has made me LOL so hard!!! My fave error has to be all of them!
Glad you liked the video! :)
Had to get nice and comfy with his mates at every inn on the way :P

The show should hire you for continuity.
I don’t mind when new information is introduced by mentioning it even though it wasn’t shown like Cole saying Alicent saved him from execution. But it’s when they contradict something that’s been established or shown, that is inexcusable.
Thanks you ruined it for me, I was a casual reader who thought I enjoyed the two seasons
A making of a great show that went downhill cause they couldn't stay true to the source material
Your videos are fire don’t get me wrong but you do reach a lil sometimes
There is only one error in this season.
NOTHING HAPPENED!!
Things did happen it’s just that people are overly picky and didn’t like it.
There are a lot of errors with this list of errors.....
Point them out
Right, it almost feels like cinemasins where they’re calling out dialogue that goes against true events, like no shit, the characters are LYING! aegon is acting positive abt being king cus that’s how people cope when they’re stuck, Criston Cole is describing rhaenyra as a conniving seductress in reference to Alicante because he’s talking about himself and doesn’t want people to know he was toyed with. This season is very obviously transition and SUSPENSE for season 3 it’s not intended to stand on its own but people are acting like it’s GOT s8 all over again
This series should be called House of Exposition
I forgot how confused I was about the food storage 😂
Just a min in. That isn't a proven error. It looks like Luke just being political and spinning the situation in his advantage
Sir, where is every error for season 1?
I’ll make it in time for season 3 😌
Love Robert saying quite women 😂😂😂
"you lack experience" and what experience dose Rhaenyra have with battle and war She is a pampered princess
Jacaerys wanted relatives who were born to targaryens but through marriage, not bastards
if something is objectively shit then it shouldn't be praised and unfortunately modern entertainment has set the bar on the damn ground so I blindly fell for this series but thanks for showing me the truth now I hate it 😹😹
All these things you might not have noticed, but your brain did. (Except Aemond suddenly being a vicious idiot. That was glaring.)

In the batle of the blackwater many man die because the where whering armor in a sea batle.
In blackwater most were soldiers sailing in to take the city. These guys are manning a blockade/not doing any land battle.
14:20 Rhaenys just kind of forgot.. about the dragon she went there to kill.
or just showing the people of kingslanding looked sad and shocked when they saw the same fckng dragon، that killed them in Aegon’s coronation 😂
This video made me realize how poorly written season 2 was.
I don't think there were any surviving bastards. I think the surviving bastards were the ones that claimed the dragons.
aegon being neurotic isn't an error LOL
did yall not remember the buildup of game of thrones and how that set it up to be in the running for the greatest tv series? save the unwritten seasons but this book is finished. the creative liberties are perfectly reasonable given its literally taking from a history book full of biases. i personally think they did well with this season. excellent rising action.
The writing in GoT was really good, though, dialogue and all 🌝
Not sure if an error or not but can anybody explain why Aegon got roasted almost to death when Targaryen are supposedly blood of the dragon (like Dany survives fire and uses it to her advantage in GoT)
@@CultureVultureMedia1 ok thank you for this clarification
Yall can’t rip into season 2 shitty writing & have the same.
Nothing interesting or no emotional attachments towards any charecter. Sadly poor writing, dialogues and pace
Scorpions would be common sense but i dont wanna defend this show
Actually scorpions have no effect on fully grown dragons, in the books the only way to take out a fully grown dragon with a scorpion is to shot them in the eye like what happened to Meraxes.
33:39 Sixth* but I take your point
These aren’t all errors, like the kings guard taking them through the mob- why are you assuming the kings guard know why there is a mob at all….
I’m simply telling it as it is, and if that sounds like the show sucks, well…
Even those who love the show acknowledge that there’s an abundance of inconsistencies, so let’s be real.
@@J_Mock92have u considered the criticism is prevalent for a reason? Lol derp

pretty good, but in some of these you are conflating the tv show stating something as true and the character, e.g. ser criston cole talking about rhaenyra setting a trap for alicent. he's a biased character and that's how he chooses to perceive the world, i doubt the show wants us believe it, since as you say we never see that happen
ahhh very good kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
Glad you liked it!
my jaw dropped while watching this video, not because he was making good points...But because he was telling total BULLSHIT in nearly all of them lmao ???? i'am going to take two just for example, and those two are two minutes apart:
1- "Why does aegon seems to love being king ? he didn't want it in the season 1 duh wHaT A TerRibLE SCriPT" well because he loved being crowned and watch people cheer for him and love him, this is what the character always wanted ?
2- ''yEAH rAEnYs fOrgOT tHe bLOCkade WaS hELd by ThE ValaRYon fleet'' ships burn and the greens have dragons too, flying over the blockade is a way to protect those ships...
but yeah i guess it's easier for some to think about the memes they're gonna use in their next video rather then focusing on the show
Give me three more examples, if it's truly "nearly all of them".
@@mokarokas-1727
not all of them, but a great amount
