Finally someone asks Ewan and Phia about their characters' relationship in S2. I loved their responses and loved the interview. 🥰
People will still insist they're somehow secretly in love despite them straight up saying there was no mention of it in the script (not saying you're saying this, I agree their relationship as siblings is interesting).

@@vayne-he9yi Well, according to Ewan and Phia, Aemond and Helaena like each other, and they have said that they filmed their scenes together in S2 with helaemond in mind. So even if it wasn't something that was in the script, it's something that they interpret from their characters and their relationship
@@Cecc98 She said they added easter eggs as a bit of fanservice to the shippers, but it's not in the script. They didn't even realize it was going to be a thing when they filmed their S1 scenes, people just randomly started shipping them together because they liked their chemistry.
Funny and interesting fans started shipping Aemond and Helaena just from little scenes in S1 they're both standing next to each other and a bit of Helaena touching Aemond's hand 😂 they did not even have words to talk with each other on screen. I get it the appealing. This ship does not need kiss or sex like Daemyra, I think to see Aemond showed his concern to Helaena because Jaeherys death will be enough to hype the attention.
Corlys and Rhaenys are the best couple on the show. Also great in their interviews together. And the fact that their granddaughters should outlast the other characters
Evan and Phia are good but nothing will beat Phia and Tom duo 😂
She has great chemistry with both Ewan and Tom, just like Ewan and Tom together too 😂 but different vibes. Phia and Tom are like chaotic siblings, while Phia and Ewan have this warm best friends vibe.

Baela is supposed to have some close relationship with Daemon. Why do they keep on ruining Daemon? They are even giving Aegon some scenes with his children and not Daemon? Unbelievable.
I think the writers are going to make Daemon the devil on Rhaenyra's shoulder. And thus he have to be stripped of some good qualities - the deleted hugging scene after Leana's selfdracarys. They intended to show Rhaenyra as flawless in this war as possible. All bad and too distracting actions are gonna be Daemons fault. That's why there is no Nettle - no bonding for Daemon and Rhae wouldn't order girl head, than Daemon's. Devil really in details. And when you know the original story in some degree you can see those butterflies that causes hurricane later in that tapestry on TV
@@iuliia_veremeichykNoone tries to make anyone "flawless" here. It's not that kind of show, and it's to early to make that conclusion anyway when the Dance has only started. They will probably be all compromised and corrupted by its end.
...maybe because there isn't time for everything? I mean they barely gave Aegon those scenes and only to make Blood and Cheese even more impactful.
We'll get an explanation of it this season it seems. Daemon is team black but a lot of his problems are similar to Team green. Like his relationships. Remember he never got love from the only male figure in his life his brother. His parents died when he was young. Viserys and Daemon had an infant brother called Aegon who died in infancy. I am so excited for Daemon's arc this season.
That pisses me off; Baela and Daemon had a great relationship in the book. She is very much like him too...
Jace and Baela would have been an awesome king & queen combo...

I think Rhys is simply not interested in doing these press junkets, he went to the premiere in Paris and that's it. And someone said that Phoebe is busy with their play like Emma so they probably don't have much time for promo.
They would give much more interesting answers than most of the cast here
@@GoldenaerrowsNo need to shit on people who did show up. You have to remember that they give dozens interviews per day, so maybe some answers are repeated (so as questions), but they do give insightful and often interesting opinions. Also you don't know what Rhys and Phoebe would reply so chill.
There are other interviews parts showed more great interaction between Phia and Ewan I saw in other platform. They had deep topic discussion and had fun laughing together in those other parts of interviews.
We need more of Phia and Ewan though!

I never considered Aegon is feeler and emphatic type but now I see when Tom mentions it.
Feeler is not the same as empathetic. Having some seeds of compassion doesn't really qualify as empathic as well. I mean, he does have compassion in him as was shown during petition hearing; but he also r*d people who probably begged jim not to...
I'm so happy that they asked Ewan and Phia about their characters' relationship in season 2, it's something I've been waiting for for a long time! I was really satisfied with their answers and very excited to see Aemond and Helaena together🩵
Their answers kinda implied there will be some scenes between Aemond and Helaena in season 2.

anyway i do think that as the two middle children, helaena and aemond have an interesting relationship and a lot in common as the more dutiful number 2. i'm interested to see more of all the siblings relationships

I would think Baela’s loyalty is to Rhaenys who has chosen to support Rhaenyra. Not Rhaenyra directly. Because why lol.
I think the writers are making Daemon too "black" a character. He is supposed to be the grayest of characters (his coin is still spinning)...
so jace actually thinks he doesn't have much legitimacy to the throne..
well.. it doesn't matter if he's a bastard, he is still a true born targaryen after all. it doesn't matter who his father is, he is still very much rhaenyra's one true heir, her own flesh and blood.
i mean, it does matter though. The whole "game of thrones" show is about the illegitimacy of Joffrey. Yes, Jace has Targ blood, but in Westeros, the great council ultimately decides who will sit on the throne (as we saw with Rhaenys and Viserys). So even though Jace is Targaryen, him being the next king offends all the lords and laws they have. Rhaenyra not only is a woman (which in many eyes is a shock), but she also has 3 bastard sons. She made lots of bad decisions I think.
if he is a bastard, by definition he cannot be a true born targaryen.
@@olalala439 I think the point is that there is no way of definitively proving that Jace is a bastard. Which is what Rhaenyra was clinging to in season 1, she basically pretended they were Laenor's. I mean what else could she have done? They're her kids, she loves them, she doesn't want them to be killed or discriminated against for having the wrong dad. She can't hide them away, literally the only option was to deny any claims of illegitimacy. I feel bad for her. She was stuck in a loveless marriage to a man who couldn't father children. If she were a man she could sleep with whoever she liked and any bastards born would not be an issue. She's constantly undermined and betrayed simply for being a woman.

I don't think it was that, but about how their sibling relationship would progress. Plus they've been long-time friends they're just comfortable with eachother.
You should read their interview about Helaemond. They know about it. They purposely do things in scenes to prop it up. The actors love it. So is it canon? I think so. Just Google Helaemond and there's a recent article someone did from decider.
@@mione134yeah I know, Helaemond wasn’t on the scripts and it was all from Ewan and Phia, I’m not against Helaemond because as Ewan said isn’t something out of character Aemond/Helaena, I kinda like them together :) actually it’s cute
These were great questions! Love to see the cast actually answering questions about their characters and the show as opposed to ALWAYS just playing silly games. (Which I like sometimes too of course)
...but they don't ALWAYS play silly games, in fact they discuss serious show stuff more often.

Everyone’s relationship with Daemon sacrificed to prop up Rhaenyra and her fans and “team black” cheering it on. It’s actually disgusting. I feel bad for Baela, Rhaenys, Rhaena, and Laena honestly

It’s a spit in the face of so many fans what these writers are doing and the fans actually will not call it out because they think it’s funny that Daemon dismisses anyone that is not his niece. Daemon ruined. Baela ruined. Rhaenys ruined. Laena’s memory ruined. It’s sucks! So these women have to hate all the men in their lives and be mistreated by them so Rhaenyra can look better by default without actually having to do anything

I really wish we've would of had a relationship between the two because she's her father's daughter in the books but i guess not when she said she's loyal to Rhaenyra and not Daemon i was like HUH????.
Yeah, I thought Baela was supposed to be a daddy's girl, while Rhaena was closer to Laena with Daemon ignoring her since she didn't have a dragon. If Baela has a strained relationship with him why we were given a scene where Daemon teaches her High Valyrian, which is implied to be a regular thing, and why is it Baela who writes to him warning about Vaemond's plans concerning Driftmark? (once again she writes to her *father*, not Rhaenyra who she is apparently more loyal to)
I've looked through some leaks and the cast's interviews, and the writing for so many characters seems to be all over the place tbh

Greens have the best characters
This season will definitely get bad reviews. Between the inconsistencies, writers clearly showing favoritism, and the outrage from most of the leaks this season won’t be well liked. The worst is from Baela and Rhaena being forced to be disregarded by everyone around them but they only exist to the writers to scream how amazing Rhaenyra is. Now Baela does not have a relationship with her one remaining parent. Why would she praise Rhaenyra while at the same time having issue with Daemon’s behavior? Now they are suddenly not a pair? If she has issue with Daemon then why not Rhaenyra?
She also said her mother and rhaenyra had a beautiful friendship. It threw me so off. We don't see this on the show. Just rhaenyra getting groovy with laena's husband at her funeral. Doesn't sound like a very good friendship to me.

I don't think it's favoritism. Sarah Hess and Ryan were vocal about all the rave on Daemon last season so I guess they still don't want to humanize him. It seems like they are having a hard time making him morally grey. They want to make him more black than white. I wonder what GRRM thinks about it.
I think this season will have great reviews, but I have to say Baela's actress comment surprised me as well. What relationship does Baela even have with Rhaenyra besides being her son's betrothed? I don`t think they even spoke one word to each other. I feel like that comment was stupid, even though Daemon is an absent father he is still more of a parent to the girls than Rhaenyra. It looks as if the actress just admires Emma so she says such stuff, as if Rhaenyra is so purely good.
Right, so you're an oracle who saw the whole season and read all reviews😂 Actors can have their own interpretations in which they can be mistaken, leaks might be untrue, and anyway it's high time you should make peace with TV adaptation steering away from the OG source
