It's really surprising how many people I've met leveling that are playing WoW for the FIRST time. It's actually bringing in new players

I'm one of them. My name is doomco in game. I been trying so hard to get into gnomer. I spent 2 weeks getting all the pre bis items before going into gnomeregan
I agree about your assessment of the current SoD team. If they are involved with Classic Plus, it's gonna win. They've shown time and time again they have great initial instincts for content and their ability to quickly institute changes when needed is impressive.
They are simply the right ppl in the right place.
Absolutely. I typically don't have faith in big corporations dev teams, but honestly, Aggrend and the SoD dev team have been a massive breath of fresh air.
SoD has been a solid time. Hopeful of good things to come at 50 and 60.
I honestly don’t see how 60 won’t be fun. Even experiencing all the raids again with the new runes alone would be fun but we know we’re getting more than that.
@@nathangrace540 It's not about being fun at this point. From what we know SoD is releasing level 60 after cata releases. Most likely the version of classic will be dead 2 weeks in to cataclysm release.

It’s funny how simple that game is, even the graphics. If you look at any landscape in modern well there’s fire or a tornado or 10 mobs or an explosion. you can walk around in classic wow and barely see a bush, yet people still love it! Crazy! It’s almost like the value of the game is the journey to endgame.
They definitely need to make protection warriors wielding 1h + shield generate more threat!! I can't keep aggro on my very well geared war, even on some boss encounters in Gnomer... On my Shaman tank it's a piece of cake.
it's vanilla with a couple retail skills thrown in with 2 reworked instances. the hype is very niche.
With a little tweaks here and there, SoD is playable for years!
Some suggestions:
Let the early Raids scale! Make em seperate level brackets or give em a challenge/hard mode.
Alot of pre 60 dungeons could be transformed in a raid, do it! (WC, DM, Maura, ZF etc. pp.)
Give us challenging 5man content (for inbetween the logouts) gear must be weaker then raid gear, but give us cosmetics, quality of life stuff, mounts, mats, rep or cosmetics) but no mythic+ shit! Make a challenge and a hard mode (not more).
Give us new quests and make the grindy runes Account bound.
Hell, even a 60 version of older dungeons but be phenomenal

There are so many things they could do, and it's exciting to think about it. I'm sure with the data the devs have, they probably have a good method to figure out what is good and what isn't.
But definitely plenty of ways to make Classic+ that makes most of the playerbase happy.

Almost all of your suggestion is the reason players aren't playing retail anymore, or even stopped playing wow classic
That's why I love SOD man, so much potential to something even bigger than itself. Does it have it's flaws? Yes. Is it Perfect? No. But is it fun? HELL YEAH IT IS!

SoD P1 was a success because people were expecting... classic+. That's not what we got. The new raid are good, but that's about it

My ONLY complaint is runes. I wish they just added the new spells, and used runes as a way to empower different playstyles like passive buffs for spells. Also I think SM will be lvl 50 raid.
I want to love SoD I rly do. It just doesn't rly have vanilla vibes. It feels like a half baked cata, and I love cata but they misses the mark for me. Some of the runes are so cool like the rogue dead drop, but most are just kill this or that and it drops. It feels slapped together.
Yeah, because your full BiS raid gear in SoD doesn't get invalidated by greens once the next phase hits...

SoD 1-59 is an alpha test.But if at 60 we're going to be doing 20man MC/Ony or some PvE shit while PvP is 100 to zero in 2 free insta casts,well,that would be an easy insta quit.
They confirmed SoD will not be deleted, probably will end content being released but NOT end

Dragonflight was stellar compared to previous expansions but Vanilla makes them all look like dogshit
100% everything you said is spot on.
If they only could make sod pvp good. Its the bigest downside. I had a fun time but i play it not that mutch anymore cause the real endgame (pvp) sucks

Sod we did not get anything new every rune is from next 2-3 expansion all raids are old dungeons no new zone, dungeon and many profession items become usless after raid items im playing not bc of its new bc many ppl playing and i love living vivid word

The game is fine......whats changed is your view of the game.
The pvp is terrible, the raids are lackluster and uncreative, the balance is terrible, the "new" content is all rehashed bar a few runes that make it a requirement to have in your raid if you care about performance or logs which is reinforced by players, there's no content for mains, the pvp events are a total joke(see Ashenvale and STV lag), ranking system is boring and stagnant.
Just a terrible game all-around. New fresh when?
I don’t mean this as fighting words or as a trolling attempt, but I think classic is just way too boring.
The things they’ve done to try to spice up with season of discovery feel like when a really old person wears the clothes of a 20 year old and hangs out in clubs.

Nah SoD makes me want a vanilla era fresh or just play retail or cata classic

Its funny, I looked at DF to play again...and none of the classes interest me anymore like vanilla-wrath did. I find the classes have changed so much they are unrecognizable anymore. Which is the reason I wont play it.
Not interested. turn retail into cassic progression style server that makes it MANDATORY to level through every expansion in order very slowly completing most of the content in each.

Season of discovery seems great but I'm really enjoying wotlk arenas. A SOD with arenas would be a instant sold for me 🤩
If all they add to sod is the runes and recycled dungeons made into Raids people will start rapidly quitting, I think most people expect more in the lvl 60 phases.
