I mean my guild couldn’t find 10 new people to do 20 man raiding. It’s honestly frustrating. My guild had like 7-8 consistent players on. We did the nightmare stuff, and the whispers and Doing dungeons. Was a blast that didn’t last. I wish we had more 5 man dungeon content. I think it’s the best casual gaming experience. Especially in classic.
My guild had similar issues starting in phase 2. The last two weeks, we were having to pug almost half the raids. I had an idea a few weeks into phase 3 after we had people at 50. I did a raid sign up one Friday night, and then shot out an LFG for all six of us with our class/specs. I got a reply in about five minutes from another guild of about 9. We joined them. Their RL plugged a few more and we went at it. It's been a great team up for going in a month now, and will hopefully set us all up to do phase 4 content.

Really wanted to like sod as it seemed nice and laid back compared to mythic raiding. Only to be met with people who treat this like its world first mythic raiding
I 100% agree. We can only hope that SOD really is an experimental “beta” testing ground for a true persistent classic+ that doesn’t have an end date. I think a lot of players are turned off by the seasonal model and it would be so much bigger if people knew it wasn’t ending and it was just going to see constant development over the years. Much like OSRS.
I still like SoD for what it is, a fun alternate way to play wow. I agree with your points though. They really changed how the game plays from leveling and enjoying, to rushing and raid logging. I don't play retail because it is boring. I play Classic because it is fun to chill out and level another warrior through a different zone in a different build. But I quit the game with phase 3. I can't stand incursions, even though I did them, because of everything you stated. I refuse to go through the chore list of getting the same runes over and over and over on alts just so I can flesh my build out and sit in another incursion group. I really hope the last phase is better otherwise they completely squandered the potential this mode had.
The biggest thing that killed SOD for me was the focus from actual discovery and enjoying the world to being a racetrack to level cap and raiding. The point where this was really driven home was the 100% XP buff to all characters mid Phase 2. I went from logging in daily working on my Hunter alt to just not caring. I don't know why raiding has become the focus of MMOs over the past 20 odd years, and it's a shame, personally. I really enjoy the leveling process (getting new gear, new abilities, access to new areas) and it's just become a speed bump.
The next phase is make or break. I'm sorry for all the sweaty monsters that want terribly difficult raids the SoD raids need to be able to be cleared by a group of pugs that are at the 50th percential of players. My guild struggled for the first few weeks of sunken temple and about half of us parce above the 75. Hopefully next phase they keep MC and a couple other raids easier with a couple new mechanics but still doable by casuals.
I love SoD and hope that it will lead to Classic+ in a similar manner to which Jagex re-released OSRS. I think a lot of the player base are overlooking the apparent purpose of SoD, a testing ground for a Classic+ of sorts, and are being too demanding. It’s a testing ground, not a full release. If players remain engaged (and continue to demand content) it is in Blizzard’s commercial interest to provide a Classic+, as proven by the player engagement of SoD.
The game was fun for the first two phases, I just got completely burnt out from raid logging and having to gather new runes for every phase. SoD is dead but only for me personally I can't speak for anyone else.
Its easy to hate on SoD right now, because people are busy with the pre-patch and excited for Cata. But Cataclysm has its own issues and once the rush of Pre-Bis gearing is over there will be absolutely nothing to do outside of raid in Cataclysm. I have no doubt that alot of players will return for Phase 4.

Most ppl iv talked to in all versions of classic allways said the same thing "cata can suck a sack of balls" the only reason ppl are "excited" for cata is bcz SoD failed the classic community.....BUT all or most of classic players do still have a fools hope for what SoD could be, for me personally i belive this season is lost but I still hope they can fix it somehow ❤
In all honesty, if they made alts easier to access SOD would be great. I raid at a high-level and the barrier to entry for a fresh toon is about 400-700g and 40-60 hours played if you are trying to get Bis. If they made rep and runes account wide after your first character it’d be way more populated
I'm having a great time in SoD. Sure, my guild had to merge with others twice to find people, and a potential 40 man raid may kill me, but 20 is a good size for now. The endgame feels fun, I just got done my PvP rank grind, close to maxing profession. I also play other games, so to your point of breaking if you're not having fun; I'm all about it. Try Empyrion, Xcom 2, Teamfight Tactics, or Fallout 4. Or you know, touch some grass. This is just me and to each their own, but if you're not having a good time, switch up the routine. Love the content, and I don't know if you're not wearing a hoodie or if you're a head on somebody else's body, but you're lookin great man. Keep up the good work!
I also have 4 going on 6 lvl 50s as a casual gamer and i have 5 kids lol its extremely friendly and the exp buffs and the gold buffs are just the best I can play every thing without putting in too much time.
really good take, the only thing i would add to this is i wish blizzard would have a whole different team for cata classic. imo sod could and would be so much better if the devs just had more time to do the things they want to do for us.
I feel like 50 is so close to 60 that its just the level 60 waiting room, nobody cares for trying to get bis that will be replaced at this point. Thinks that cleaved off players: gatekeeping with logs for pugs, incursions, nuking GDKPs.
I am having a blast with just a single character. I still have stuff to do after doing the following: Thorium Brotherhood honored, Timbermaw honored, Argent Dawn revered, collecting all the enchant recipes, collecting all the alchemy recipes, faming epic dagger from Mara. Things still left to do: WSG exalted, AB Exalted. So much to do that we can do this phase that we wont need to spend time doing in phase 4.
im ab exalted, got my professions to 300 got my profession q, got rank 7, got my 3/3 ST, got my WO items on my warrior. im 3k rep away from warsong exalted so thats what im doing at the moment im logging in for the daily and then i just can raidlog because i only need the fist weapons from ST and that's it. got to say i had a lot of fun doing this is still COULD get the emerald warden rep to exalted but it is not that useful to me but other than that there isn't anything to do for me anymore. im lvling a cata twink RN and having a blast doing it. the thing is ur right i have also a priest lvl 50 with 630gs, he is far from "ready" as there so much rep farms for enchanters which i really not motivated to do but for example if ur char is an enchanter there is alot more to do in phase 3 than if you got other professions.

Blizzard is intentionally pushing Cata and the war within atm. Not releasing any news about SoD is 100% to give more room for the other versions releases. I cope and hope that phase 4 will be good. And think it will be a good time to start to balance things out for real. Plenty of dungeons and raids at 60 too. Loads of gear that I hope they will revamp a bit to make it interesting and fun to build up some pre-bis gear
I mean I have the sentiment as you, I’m enjoying SOD but let’s not pretend. My guild is dead my friends list is dead, I’m excited for P4 and can’t wait but I’ve had a few friends mail me hundreds of gold and say they aren’t interested in P4 already

Every week I spend hours organizing and hosting a discord signup so I can bring 10 extra randoms into ST for free loot with us, it’s just dumb. On top it all I got to deal with dumb shits like you who think just cuz you joined a guild with 100 randos you’re somehow better than me. I can clear ST. I do it every week, and I carry idiots on my back, do you do that? Or are you the one getting carried. It’s just not how I want to play the game.
When my guild was far more interested with parsing, high dps and getting through SK as fast possible, I was done. As you said. Games should be a fun and an escape from the outside world. Blizzard can bounce back if they wanted to. I don't think they care. The reason why I give that hate? Why have not they given us a video and whats to come for phase 4. (Even it is weeks away yet.)
I agree with the raid logging. Every content in easy farm, you are forced to min-max or people in the raid gets pissed at you. Definitely not for the casual player who just want to raid with friends.
I am in 2 horde and 1 ally guilds. All 3 guilds were very active, but in the last 3 weeks, everyone is gone. I am often the only player on or just a couple of us on. Used to be 20 to 30 of us every evening.. not any more. See if they show up again in phase 4
Raid logging too atm everything will hinge on phase 4. If they screw up pre raid farming i might actually try cata. Also have a love hate relationship with incursions... love that i can use them to easily farm gold for consumes but hate everything else about them. Feel like if they just upped gold more for quest rewards that would be better. Dont want to spend hours farming gold for a seasonal character.
Blizzard could let the team go full on imagine this or what if this. Each leveling experience would be different. Say we get something like Classicified Gilneas or a Battleground version of Gilneas. With a rep. It would be so cool, add in a new dungeon.
I quit because the game feels more like a multi level marketing scam than a Video Game. On top of there being 0 passion for said game. They fired their QA team and is now forcing the players to QA for free. "New" content, Which is just remixed existing content, Is released in a state that takes a month to be even remotely playable yet they charge a service for it. We are past Copium, its full on Stockholm syndrome now.

I dont want there to be more raidified dungeons. I want new zones. New stuff to make me want to create more characters. New dungeons (5 person). The problem is SoD team isn't listening to the feedback.
As a classic player and private server player for the last 20 years I FRICKEN LOVE sod. I can't wait for the next phases this has been the most fun I've had in wow in a while. Last one being when classic 2019. The new stuff and cata looks poop.
I finally decided to play Cata prepatch. I am just raid logging I went hard at the start of the phase but don’t want to burn out just waiting for p4 now. I posted this at the start. Love the content keep it up
What made me sad was the gatekeeping. So I parsed 90th. Not amazing but good enough: my buddy is older, left over from original vanilla, and really only parses green. Couldn’t find a guild or group to run with because of that. The game is not hard and people gate keep more than Mythic+. Just makes me sad how toxic some of the playerbase has become. I’m not gone but I certainly have a bad taste in my mouth.
I worry if P4 is just MC and Ony it will just be a bummer. SoD was meant to have us experiencing new things. We need to see Kara Crypts or SM raid soon.
Sod is a complete disaster in pvp. PvP events are just chaos nonsense battles with zero ability involved. Classes has not been tested enough and are unbalanced so BG,s are also nonsense events. This said, i like and still play the game.
Definitely not burn out for me. I’m tired of Blizzard making mistakes and not compensating anyone affected by it. I remember my friends being pissed when they spent gold on their mount and then blizzard cut the cost of it. Like so everyone who busted their ass for gold and bought a mount should just fuck themselves? Then obviously the incursions you spoke on but I disagree with you when you said it’s not the biggest problem. I think it’s a huge problem that people made 1000s of gold, inflated the economy and then nerfed it so no one else could come close to making that much gold
I'm tired of SOD. I've met some awesome people as a result of it, but having been stuck on Lava Lash where the raid environment sucked now moving to Wild Growth, we feel we are behind the curve because we're only 7/8 as of last week. There's not enough content to play on a daily basis, so all I do is log in my one day for raid. This is just filler until Cata and FFXIV: Dawntrail.
People were doing dungeons to level fast even in wow classic 2019, everyone wants get ahead, so it's not a SoD problem, I hope we get some 10 man raids and work more on pvp balance
The reason why it’s a problem in SOD is that we don’t have access to the full game and all the content. So people blast to lvl cap in 2 days and then have not much to do.
Nah incursions were fine. The raid should have stayed 10 man with a 3 day lockout. Worlds feel dead because people only log in once a week, not much to do at the moment.
@@Zutang777 and your point is? People would spam dungeons, putting them in 5 man instances. The world would feel empty regardless. With incursions you at least saw tons of people. They should have left incursions the best way to level, now people leveled 1 character and raid log. If they were still like they were people would be leveling their P1 alts.
@@alfredgreybeard they should have updated the rewards for the old quests in the game. that way they scaled with the newer items made for the leveling raids. Dungeons don’t need to give that much exp. They are a better catalyst for powerful loot drops while leveling. I would have made open world questing the fastest way to level by far. Just saying make is so everyone can level in 4 hours and have 1000 gold with incursionIs horrible game design. That’s my point. I want blizzard to improve not give up and just make a huge amount of the game irrelevant.
Hearing about people complain about not being able to raid/find people to be able to raid is kinda annoying. There’s so many people talking about “nobody is making groups that will let ME IN because I don’t have good logs!” Just make a raid group. Recruit, schedule, post in lfg. Oh wait, you don’t want to waste your time doing all that? You’re gonna raise your standards so you can increase your chances of not wasting your time? Funny how that all works out. HOWEVER if the raids are piss easy, like BFD. Composition/logs don’t matter for clearing, leveling alts in the “level up raids” is dummy easy and gives you a high value path for leveling them (a couple hours a level if you just raid log on an alt), and allll those people who seem to have had their guilds broken trying to find 10 more VERY SPECIFIC people/roles could make the raids happen. The raids need to be easy, or any opportunity for gatekeeping can and will be used. 40 mans only ever really had like 30 people actually doing anything in the pugs when classic era was current. Hard 10/20 mans means everyone needs to pull their weight, and the fuck ups are felt even from a single dps. That mf is like 8% of your total raid damage if he’s sleeping.
We get it, your full time unemployment career consists of sitting on seasonal wow servers for 12 hours a day. No wonder you can't see why any rational, normal, contributing human is annoyed with how dead the fuckin game is, and how shit it is to just try to hop in and play.
SoD is 100% dead right now, and only will come back when new phases are released. SoD has a lot of FACTION balancing to do and not just class balancing.
Had such high hopes for p3. I rly did. My guild merged 3 times and still could not build a stable raiding roster. On top of that I absolutely hated the "pvp" events. STV more than ashen tho. Class balance somehow feels worse than 2019 classic in open world. All these factors led me and all my friends to stop playing. My only hope of getting back into the game is a fresh classic server with some actually counter measures to boosting and stuff like that. So I don't have high hopes to say the least.
I quit after phase 2. Because well..I wanted to main a rogue. And rogues were UNPLAYABLE in p2. Can't have people's favorite classes be so bad they can't get into raids.
When SoD was originally announced I expected that P3 will be the most lackluster phase because players have lost momentum and enthusiasm since P1 and many of them are waiting for P4, the "real end game content". It seems for many of you this scenario turned into reality. However, I still enjoy P3 more than P2. P2 sucked, even though I had the relative best PvE performance as a caster.
I lost interest in SoD after I took a look at the loot tables and realized they are only providing good items for certain classes/builds, I don't care if blizzard didn't have enough time.
I think that no matter what people will find something to be unhappy about, I love sod , ya it gets stale but so does every version of wow , like literally this happens no matter what , start an alt enjoy some world PVP its not meant to play everyday for 5hours
"Playes will always do the fastest way to max level" to "yeah farming SM repetitively..." "How dare they make a super fast way to 50!!!" They could fix a lot of things and PTR things. WO and Nightmare Inc being nerfed is good. But the hate for it is exasperated by youtubers and streamers being like "How dare they not make SOD not classic!!! I spammed 25-40 on launch with a 4-ret 1 healer (5 ret on stockades 😂) group and that was kinda fun but I enjoyed my casual lock levelling way more. I’d say 25-40 was awesome if you didn’t spam it.
Want next season to be retail minus with procedurally generated dungeons or something. So tired of all the old systems that dont need to exist but still want the classic world, classic style, and imbalanced pvp dynamic.
Any "meta" for leveling is going to make your eyes bleed imo. Just enjoy your time, and if you're not, maybe it's not the game for you anymore. Incursions being the exception of course, but those were launched completely busted

If you have a really good guild and is fun to play with its a blast but I think the solo player pugging is not haveing a good time. It's a social game so idk how to make them happy.

games too boring right now. not enough things to do that are fresh. how many of our alts are exhalted with wsg already, how many have everything from bloodmoon on multiple characters. maxed professions on multiple characters. raid gear for multiple characters. you raid 1-2 nights a week depending on how many alts you raid on. the raid takes 40-60 minutes tops on each character but then the 5-6 days you dont raid its the exact same game as we have had for the past 5 years. my fear is that lvl 60 is going to be the exact same thing. one night a week we get a nice new raid but then the other 6 days of the week its the same thing as 2019 classic. if thats the case then why even keep playing
My EU server is buzzing. Everyone seems to be really enjoying it. Our guild have already said we won't be doing 40man content though. Hoping for more 5-10 man stuff in future.
Wow classic was always a grind they just give pvp gear almost better then raid gear and all you got to do is incursions ppl dont want to earn it they cry and get it given
Wishlist for SOD - Easier raids - 10-man only, for all raids - Increased amout of loot from bosses. - Faster Phases (6-8 weeks maximum.) - Increase EXP gains from all sources 500% - runes from older phases buyable from the new Commerce reputation vendor. SOD Saved.

I think that the devs for some reason started to think that they needed to increase the difficulty of the raids to provide more of a challenge, in order to cater to a relatively small vocal minority of people who like to complain about content being too easy. ( see the latest ST release, it was way overtuned and aimed to provide more of a challenge at the start) My belief is that the majority of players who gravitate towards Classic/Vanilla want an easier game mode to immerse themselves in. Clear content relatively easy while having a beer and banter in Discord with their friends. I think the Mega nerfs to ST is somewhat evidence of that. I would be very surprised if they aim to make the coming raids tuned in favor of difficulty. When it comes to raid size i think that the people who played in the re re-release of 2019 and managed to gather a 40man roster to raid with every week (myself included) aren't feeling like they are up to the task to manage a 40man roster again, and would prefer 10-man raiding.
Do people just assume they should be able to pug every raid and be successful every week? I also don't feel like anyone was forced to grind 10 levels in SM in phase 2.

I was hoping for a deeper analysis. Instead, your video felt pretty brief in the analysis with you mainly providing short statements of your opinion. It also felt like you were invalidating the legitimate complaints that people have with SOD. I know just like you that there are legitimate complaints and grievances with the game but the internet trolls are the most vocal and so they are the ones who come off the worst and are not representative of the entire community. I quit in phase 3 it just got boaring pvp sucks pve is raid logging when a shaman can one shot you with lava burst 2700 non crit pvp keeps the game alive the pvp event does not give honor for kills its not fun token system sucks also when you grind out wsg rep phase one feels like for nothing sense they fast track others to exalted feels like you earned nothing and iust should of waited and cryed about it like others did

I love SoD and hope that it will lead to Classic+ in a similar manner to which Jagex re-released OSRS. I think a lot of the player base are overlooking the apparent purpose of SoD, a testing ground for a Classic+ of sorts, and are being too demanding. It’s a testing ground, not a full release. If players remain engaged (and continue to demand content) it is in Blizzard’s commercial interest to provide a Classic+, as proven by the player engagement of SoD.
The game was fun for the first two phases, I just got completely burnt out from raid logging and having to gather new runes for every phase. SoD is dead but only for me personally I can't speak for anyone else.
Its easy to hate on SoD right now, because people are busy with the pre-patch and excited for Cata. But Cataclysm has its own issues and once the rush of Pre-Bis gearing is over there will be absolutely nothing to do outside of raid in Cataclysm. I have no doubt that alot of players will return for Phase 4.

Most ppl iv talked to in all versions of classic allways said the same thing "cata can suck a sack of balls" the only reason ppl are "excited" for cata is bcz SoD failed the classic community.....BUT all or most of classic players do still have a fools hope for what SoD could be, for me personally i belive this season is lost but I still hope they can fix it somehow ❤
In all honesty, if they made alts easier to access SOD would be great. I raid at a high-level and the barrier to entry for a fresh toon is about 400-700g and 40-60 hours played if you are trying to get Bis. If they made rep and runes account wide after your first character it’d be way more populated
I'm having a great time in SoD. Sure, my guild had to merge with others twice to find people, and a potential 40 man raid may kill me, but 20 is a good size for now. The endgame feels fun, I just got done my PvP rank grind, close to maxing profession. I also play other games, so to your point of breaking if you're not having fun; I'm all about it. Try Empyrion, Xcom 2, Teamfight Tactics, or Fallout 4. Or you know, touch some grass. This is just me and to each their own, but if you're not having a good time, switch up the routine. Love the content, and I don't know if you're not wearing a hoodie or if you're a head on somebody else's body, but you're lookin great man. Keep up the good work!
I also have 4 going on 6 lvl 50s as a casual gamer and i have 5 kids lol its extremely friendly and the exp buffs and the gold buffs are just the best I can play every thing without putting in too much time.
really good take, the only thing i would add to this is i wish blizzard would have a whole different team for cata classic. imo sod could and would be so much better if the devs just had more time to do the things they want to do for us.

I feel like 50 is so close to 60 that its just the level 60 waiting room, nobody cares for trying to get bis that will be replaced at this point.
Thinks that cleaved off players: gatekeeping with logs for pugs, incursions, nuking GDKPs.
Seems to be doing well on both EU pvp servers. Been levelling a horde warrior and alliance pala to 50 lots of players running dungeons

I am having a blast with just a single character. I still have stuff to do after doing the following: Thorium Brotherhood honored, Timbermaw honored, Argent Dawn revered, collecting all the enchant recipes, collecting all the alchemy recipes, faming epic dagger from Mara. Things still left to do: WSG exalted, AB Exalted. So much to do that we can do this phase that we wont need to spend time doing in phase 4.
im ab exalted, got my professions to 300 got my profession q, got rank 7, got my 3/3 ST, got my WO items on my warrior. im 3k rep away from warsong exalted so thats what im doing at the moment im logging in for the daily and then i just can raidlog because i only need the fist weapons from ST and that's it. got to say i had a lot of fun doing this is still COULD get the emerald warden rep to exalted but it is not that useful to me but other than that there isn't anything to do for me anymore. im lvling a cata twink RN and having a blast doing it. the thing is ur right i have also a priest lvl 50 with 630gs, he is far from "ready" as there so much rep farms for enchanters which i really not motivated to do but for example if ur char is an enchanter there is alot more to do in phase 3 than if you got other professions.
Hell ya get all the phase 4 stuff done early. More time to complain about no content amirite.

Blizzard is intentionally pushing Cata and the war within atm. Not releasing any news about SoD is 100% to give more room for the other versions releases. I cope and hope that phase 4 will be good. And think it will be a good time to start to balance things out for real. Plenty of dungeons and raids at 60 too. Loads of gear that I hope they will revamp a bit to make it interesting and fun to build up some pre-bis gear
I mean I have the sentiment as you, I’m enjoying SOD but let’s not pretend. My guild is dead my friends list is dead, I’m excited for P4 and can’t wait but I’ve had a few friends mail me hundreds of gold and say they aren’t interested in P4 already

Every week I spend hours organizing and hosting a discord signup so I can bring 10 extra randoms into ST for free loot with us, it’s just dumb. On top it all I got to deal with dumb shits like you who think just cuz you joined a guild with 100 randos you’re somehow better than me. I can clear ST. I do it every week, and I carry idiots on my back, do you do that? Or are you the one getting carried.
It’s just not how I want to play the game.
When my guild was far more interested with parsing, high dps and getting through SK as fast possible, I was done. As you said. Games should be a fun and an escape from the outside world. Blizzard can bounce back if they wanted to. I don't think they care. The reason why I give that hate? Why have not they given us a video and whats to come for phase 4. (Even it is weeks away yet.)
I agree with the raid logging. Every content in easy farm, you are forced to min-max or people in the raid gets pissed at you. Definitely not for the casual player who just want to raid with friends.
I am in 2 horde and 1 ally guilds. All 3 guilds were very active, but in the last 3 weeks, everyone is gone. I am often the only player on or just a couple of us on. Used to be 20 to 30 of us every evening.. not any more. See if they show up again in phase 4
SoD is on the backburner for me. Everquest in 9 days until SoD phase 4. Everquest 1 is currently more interesting to play then wow. Imagine that.

Raid logging too atm everything will hinge on phase 4. If they screw up pre raid farming i might actually try cata.
Also have a love hate relationship with incursions... love that i can use them to easily farm gold for consumes but hate everything else about them. Feel like if they just upped gold more for quest rewards that would be better. Dont want to spend hours farming gold for a seasonal character.
Blizzard could let the team go full on imagine this or what if this. Each leveling experience would be different. Say we get something like Classicified Gilneas or a Battleground version of Gilneas. With a rep. It would be so cool, add in a new dungeon.
Blizzard dropped the ball on SOD and it’s a shame. No news, no updates, no communication. Just threw it aside.
I quit because the game feels more like a multi level marketing scam than a Video Game. On top of there being 0 passion for said game. They fired their QA team and is now forcing the players to QA for free. "New" content, Which is just remixed existing content, Is released in a state that takes a month to be even remotely playable yet they charge a service for it. We are past Copium, its full on Stockholm syndrome now.
Yeah it blows my mind how people are okay paying for completely unfinished garbage. Free private servers have more passion and polish for classic + than this crap.
I dont want there to be more raidified dungeons. I want new zones. New stuff to make me want to create more characters. New dungeons (5 person). The problem is SoD team isn't listening to the feedback.

What made me sad was the gatekeeping. So I parsed 90th. Not amazing but good enough: my buddy is older, left over from original vanilla, and really only parses green. Couldn’t find a guild or group to run with because of that. The game is not hard and people gate keep more than Mythic+. Just makes me sad how toxic some of the playerbase has become. I’m not gone but I certainly have a bad taste in my mouth.
I worry if P4 is just MC and Ony it will just be a bummer. SoD was meant to have us experiencing new things. We need to see Kara Crypts or SM raid soon.

SoD was fun for a while but it has big problems. I'm hyped for MoP remix, Cata classic, and War Within.
Sod is a complete disaster in pvp. PvP events are just chaos nonsense battles with zero ability involved. Classes has not been tested enough and are unbalanced so BG,s are also nonsense events. This said, i like and still play the game.
Honestly, they should remove world buffs from the game and just buff specs to the appropriate power level.
Definitely not burn out for me. I’m tired of Blizzard making mistakes and not compensating anyone affected by it. I remember my friends being pissed when they spent gold on their mount and then blizzard cut the cost of it. Like so everyone who busted their ass for gold and bought a mount should just fuck themselves? Then obviously the incursions you spoke on but I disagree with you when you said it’s not the biggest problem. I think it’s a huge problem that people made 1000s of gold, inflated the economy and then nerfed it so no one else could come close to making that much gold
By the numbers it's rapidly dying, which is hard to see/swallow.
I'm tired of SOD. I've met some awesome people as a result of it, but having been stuck on Lava Lash where the raid environment sucked now moving to Wild Growth, we feel we are behind the curve because we're only 7/8 as of last week.
There's not enough content to play on a daily basis, so all I do is log in my one day for raid.
This is just filler until Cata and FFXIV: Dawntrail.
People were doing dungeons to level fast even in wow classic 2019, everyone wants get ahead, so it's not a SoD problem, I hope we get some 10 man raids and work more on pvp balance
The reason why it’s a problem in SOD is that we don’t have access to the full game and all the content. So people blast to lvl cap in 2 days and then have not much to do.

Nah incursions were fine. The raid should have stayed 10 man with a 3 day lockout. Worlds feel dead because people only log in once a week, not much to do at the moment.

They should have left incursions the best way to level, now people leveled 1 character and raid log. If they were still like they were people would be leveling their P1 alts.

Dungeons don’t need to give that much exp. They are a better catalyst for powerful loot drops while leveling.
I would have made open world questing the fastest way to level by far.

Hearing about people complain about not being able to raid/find people to be able to raid is kinda annoying. There’s so many people talking about “nobody is making groups that will let ME IN because I don’t have good logs!” Just make a raid group. Recruit, schedule, post in lfg. Oh wait, you don’t want to waste your time doing all that? You’re gonna raise your standards so you can increase your chances of not wasting your time?
Funny how that all works out.
HOWEVER if the raids are piss easy, like BFD. Composition/logs don’t matter for clearing, leveling alts in the “level up raids” is dummy easy and gives you a high value path for leveling them (a couple hours a level if you just raid log on an alt), and allll those people who seem to have had their guilds broken trying to find 10 more VERY SPECIFIC people/roles could make the raids happen.
The raids need to be easy, or any opportunity for gatekeeping can and will be used.
40 mans only ever really had like 30 people actually doing anything in the pugs when classic era was current.
Hard 10/20 mans means everyone needs to pull their weight, and the fuck ups are felt even from a single dps. That mf is like 8% of your total raid damage if he’s sleeping.
We get it, your full time unemployment career consists of sitting on seasonal wow servers for 12 hours a day. No wonder you can't see why any rational, normal, contributing human is annoyed with how dead the fuckin game is, and how shit it is to just try to hop in and play.

SoD is 100% dead right now, and only will come back when new phases are released. SoD has a lot of FACTION balancing to do and not just class balancing.
Had such high hopes for p3. I rly did. My guild merged 3 times and still could not build a stable raiding roster. On top of that I absolutely hated the "pvp" events. STV more than ashen tho.
Class balance somehow feels worse than 2019 classic in open world.
All these factors led me and all my friends to stop playing. My only hope of getting back into the game is a fresh classic server with some actually counter measures to boosting and stuff like that. So I don't have high hopes to say the least.
I quit after phase 2. Because well..I wanted to main a rogue. And rogues were UNPLAYABLE in p2. Can't have people's favorite classes be so bad they can't get into raids.
When SoD was originally announced I expected that P3 will be the most lackluster phase because players have lost momentum and enthusiasm since P1 and many of them are waiting for P4, the "real end game content".
It seems for many of you this scenario turned into reality. However, I still enjoy P3 more than P2. P2 sucked, even though I had the relative best PvE performance as a caster.
I lost interest in SoD after I took a look at the loot tables and realized they are only providing good items for certain classes/builds, I don't care if blizzard didn't have enough time.
I think that no matter what people will find something to be unhappy about, I love sod , ya it gets stale but so does every version of wow , like literally this happens no matter what , start an alt enjoy some world PVP its not meant to play everyday for 5hours

SoD has been fun and i parked it until phase 4 for Cata prepatch ans season 4 of retail. I'm the type of wower who bounces between versions of wow that i get hooked on at that time. None of them are perfect or only woeth sownding my time on, i just love to wow without disliking what im gaming with.

P3 killed it for me, it feels no longer like classic or spirit of classic how blizz said it would be.
If you have a really good guild and is fun to play with its a blast but I think the solo player pugging is not haveing a good time. It's a social game so idk how to make them happy.

I quit in phase 3 wont be returning to wow ever again likely. I just decided to give wow a try again and the player base are too degenerate for my liking.
I had 3 25s i raided with 2 40s and i have a lvl 50 i don't raid with because server is dead and can't get into a decent raid
games too boring right now. not enough things to do that are fresh. how many of our alts are exhalted with wsg already, how many have everything from bloodmoon on multiple characters. maxed professions on multiple characters. raid gear for multiple characters. you raid 1-2 nights a week depending on how many alts you raid on. the raid takes 40-60 minutes tops on each character but then the 5-6 days you dont raid its the exact same game as we have had for the past 5 years. my fear is that lvl 60 is going to be the exact same thing. one night a week we get a nice new raid but then the other 6 days of the week its the same thing as 2019 classic. if thats the case then why even keep playing

Wow classic was always a grind they just give pvp gear almost better then raid gear and all you got to do is incursions ppl dont want to earn it they cry and get it given

I think that the devs for some reason started to think that they needed to increase the difficulty of the raids to provide more of a challenge, in order to cater to a relatively small vocal minority of people who like to complain about content being too easy. ( see the latest ST release, it was way overtuned and aimed to provide more of a challenge at the start) My belief is that the majority of players who gravitate towards Classic/Vanilla want an easier game mode to immerse themselves in. Clear content relatively easy while having a beer and banter in Discord with their friends. I think the Mega nerfs to ST is somewhat evidence of that. I would be very surprised if they aim to make the coming raids tuned in favor of difficulty. When it comes to raid size i think that the people who played in the re re-release of 2019 and managed to gather a 40man roster to raid with every week (myself included) aren't feeling like they are up to the task to manage a 40man roster again, and would prefer 10-man raiding.
