  • Lets go back to the year 2005 and see what the Lincoln LS was all about! This car had two engine options to pick from V6 or V8. Most American's picked the V8 version to drive due to its sportier suspension. I really enjoyed getting to review this vehicle! Let me know what you think about the Lincoln LS and did you have one as your daily driver back in the day?

Vehicles filmed at Dealerships are For Sale. Make sure to visit the dealerships website for detail info about each vehicle. If your watching a video thats older than 90 days you can expect that vehicle to most likely already being sold, unless its a new car.
FYI - Charleston Car Videos on RUclips Started in 2011. Back in 2008 is when I started filming cars as a car salesman to give people a better way to see a new or used vehicle. Over the years I ended up selling over 450 vehicles from doing videos. Today 1000's of vehicles have sold from people watching my car reviews in America.

I have a 2000 model White fine it has a few Battle Scars but not many you know Little Tink Tink you can fix you're right about it being a little rocket ship and before you know it it's the way up on 65 and 80 and you think you're doing 55 it'll trick you the only thing in mine is the heat doesn't work I'm about to get that fixed it is almost identical to this one but I have different seats my seats seem to look better than these and it will haul ass it's a lot of people say they were way before their time it should have been coming out right about now but I'm glad they are here if you have one in a V8 you keep it if you can or sell it to someone that will take care of it hopefully I know it's just a car but they are very nice and they ride really good I didn't think it would not being big like the Lincoln andthe Grand Marquis because if you know what they ride like it's like riding with your grandma I see a lot of granny's have those cars and I understand now why they ride superb that Lincoln Continental and the Grand Marquis have a fantastic ride but the ls is real snazzy and if you got a good one the more you give the more it can take on the highway I want to restore this one back into mint condition it just takes the money to do it right now with the situation that we're in all across the country everybody trying to save and make ends meet with every little bit about to go out here and check on mine in the yard. Nice video the guy seems like a very nice person👊 thanks for sharing. These are great cars! I've sold several Lincoln LS models (both v8 and v6) over the years. The only thing is that they were ahead of their time, and it seems like there's a lot of quirky things that happen to these vehicles mechanically as they age versus other Ford/Lincoln products. As some other viewers have pointed out, this vehicle is based off the Jaguar S-Type platform.

Okay, first, this is a jaguar 3.9 v8 that bangs out 280 angry horses! The lincoln towncar shares the same drivetrain as the crown victoria and grand marquis (all fords, basically) 4.6 v8 that bangs out 200 BUFF horses. I say buff because this 4.6 has almost 100 more torque than horses. Now, I've owned an 04 ls with the v8 and smashed the gas plenty of times. This car keeps up with cars that have 400 hp! Sweet, sweet ride! I currently drive an 03 grand marquis and unlike the LS, when I smash the gas, the wheels spin a lot before I move. The lincoln ls shares a lot with the older jaguars, because this is when ford owned jaguar. I also own a jaguar xjr with the super charged v8, but I haven driven it yet because it's broken (because jaguar). The lincoln ls interior and the xjr interior are so similar in these years.

Lincoln took the BMW front fascia appearance and jazzed it up to be adaptive for this american sport luxury car. However the rest of the LS body formed a beautiful shape different than any other vehicle on the market. Many years ago Mitsubishi tried the same thing (8th Gen Galant), but copied much more design cues from BMW’s 3 and 5 series. Lincoln really gave it a go to deliver the proper driver enthusiast sedan. The LS was rear wheel drive and offered a V6 and V8, plus manual transmission until 2002. Also, I’m impressed the Lincoln LS looked nothing like variants shared on the same platform; e.g., Jaguar S-Type.

Stock ratio for 2001 w/v8 is 3.31. ratio calculator with the shorter 50R puts it at 3.55. I thought about the differential swap to the 3.58 gears, but I feel the shorter tire would be much easier and cheaper. Has anyone tried this?

The Lincoln LS shared many components in the same V8 engine with the 11th generation Ford Thunderbird at that time. The base LS was powered by an all-aluminum 3.0 L DOHC V6 that was a variant of the Jaguar AJ-V6 engine. Optional in the LS was an all-aluminum 3.9 L DOHC V8, a shorter-stroke variant of the Jaguar 4.0 L AJ-26 V8. Both engines required premium-grade gasoline. Ford's 5R55S five-speed automatic transmission with an optional manual shift ability called SelectShift was standard with either engine, while a Getrag 221 five-speed manual transmission was available for V6-equipped LS models through an optional sport package.

Thermo house has a cap. look up bleeding the coolant system on the LS. You have to bleed the air out of the coolant system with the cap that's on the thermo housing. Easiest way is to run the car after you fill the reservoir untill the fan kicks on and the coolant starts to circulate. Turn it off and let it sit for a few minutes or until you can crack open the reservoir cap. Open the cap on the thermo housing until there is only a few turns left before it comes all the way off. Take your house and slowly fill the reservoir until you start to see the water coming out of the thermostat housing cap. Tighten cap and then but the reservoir cap back on and your good
