Cause they're extremely underrated performance machines. I've had my 2000 LS V8 Sport up to 158mph and it's just a seriously amazing handling car.

I just bought a V6 with 63k miles and it drives like it's super charged 🤣🤦🔥🔥🔥holy Fuck it has alot of power. I think it has some performance parts definitely. And I had a few mustang Gt's and Camaro z28s and I'm impressed

I bought one last year and I really enjoy the car. I bought it for around $3000.00. I've put about $2000.00 into it, repairing the air conditioning and it needed a new power steering rack. I'd say the biggest negative is driving in snow and ice. Being rear wheel drive, it doesn't give you any confidence at all and I'm a professional driver.

I've had 4 of these cars and a 05 is my current daily. First there's 0 aftermarket for these cars and absolutely nothing you can do to make the much faster than the are stock aside from nitrous and tune. They also don't Dyno anywhere near 300 like people love to repeat. They don't right around 240 with intake ,exhaust and tune. They're great crushing cars and are a blast to drive and are comfy but not fast. I have a 100 shot on mine and will still get walked by a ton of modern cars that recent meant to be fast at all. With that being said they're they're awesome if you don't mind fixing your car once a month or so. I personally really like working on my cars so don't mind. It's a Jaguar S type with a Ford body.

@@iShowUnusualBehavior Ill be honest with you. These are actually really great cars if you don't neglect them or it will screw you over. If you can properly keep up with the maintenance it can be a fun and amazing car. The biggest tip I can give you is to let it warm up in the winter before driving it. (They hate the cold) Also, make sure it's at proper operating temperature before you give it full throttle or anything like that.

A few years ago I made a very similar purchase in price and mileage. I’ve done very little to it. Coils of course lol , and the ccpv valve or whatever it’s called is broke and I’ll attempt that over the winter…and I’ve learned to ignore the anti lock breaks light that constantly spits in my face. My main question is which mod gave you the biggest result ? I’m stuck in Cali so if I do exhaust it will have to be elect cut outs, Did you use a chip to adjust rev limiter ? Or any anftetmarket tunes ? I will be really pissed if I make a chip purchase that’s an empty plastic plug in device lol. I’d really love to wake this car up and have fun with it, opposed to selling it to someone else to feed it constant coils and plastic cooling parts. 😂👌😎

I love the LS. Most of those pulls are in the “sport” mode so I can shift when ever letting me rev higher. I’ve done nothing to the LS besides; rebuilt trans, cold air intake and cut my exhaust off at one point all the way back to the cats. But now I have the stock exhaust back on with everything else I listed previous. No tune, and I haven’t even put new coils in yet… and she still pulls pretty good for the little amount I’ve put in. I’m not claiming to beat everything on the streets because let’s be real I’m only pushing 300hp if I’m lucky. All that’s good for with the little bit of “mods” I’ve done she can beat like Focus ST’s, SRT4 Calibers, etc. I’d love to hear what you do to the car and how it performs after, so keep me posted man!🤘🏼

I’ve been a car lover my whole life. but just know I’m now becoming a “full on car guy”. With my new job at an automotive body shop, im learning a lot everyday and plan to bring what I learn over to the LS. I’d say even a cold air intake and exhaust showed a little bit more with throttle response. I haven’t dabbled in turning cars yet so I don’t feel confident in saying which is the best or what to do tuning wise. But my plan is to experiment with the car. Get more familiar with working on them. At the end of the day I paid $3k for it so i don’t really care if I end up fucking up the car.

no aftermarket parts or little at that. Majority of anything OEM has been discontinued. Mechanic special at best with decent speed... daily a decent 2005-2006 v8 and you get some fairly decent luxury with so so speeds
