    I'll attest to the handling capabilities of the Lincoln LS V8 Sport, I pulled way more speed through the road course at Miller Motorsports Park than basically everyone and that was just with grippy brand new Goodyear Eagle GT's and stupid shot to Hell worn ball joints. I installed Eibach Pro Kit springs in it and haven't had it back on a road course but it will just slaughter everything else once it gets a new 351 Windsor roller cam engine and a TKO. I've had my car up to 158mph with the stock 3.9l and it had plenty more on that stretch from Solana Beach South to San Diego. Sea level brings them to life, as it does any engine. Last trip down with my '92 SHO I couldn't keep the brand new clutch from slipping in first to third with the new Fidanza lightweight flywheel.

      hey bro! Good luck with the car you're get, I love this car! Anyway, these models do not have AUX inputs, in this video I was playing a Burned music CD I made a few years ago. Some people install a modern double-din stereo system and then you'll have all the functionality you want. But I prefer to keep it original if possible.

    I'm having an issue resolving a leak from the sunroof on the drivers side. I've removed the inside pillar cover and can see there is a hose on the inside of the pillar cover, but that hose is not connected to a hose from the sunroof. Should there be a hose that would also be connected to a sunroof hose??

    • @hybrid32494
      @hybrid32494  4 года назад +2

      hey man!! You are on the right track. Those two hoses need to be connected. Over time one of the drain hoses seems to shrink and gets disconnected from the other, and thats how you get leaks. You need to somehow connect a tube over them and make sure it stays put. In my model LS, I have curtain air bags, and it's almost impossible to remove the headliner, So I just sealed the roof.

      Actually no, the DEW98 platform is based on F1 racing technology and has excellent balance front to rear. It's the underpinning for the Jaguar S Type, Ford Thunderbird, Lincoln LS, and even the first generation Jaguar F type. It's an excellent track car and immensely overlooked. A company known as McClaren was making some nasty racers from the Lincoln LS with rowdy 351 Windsor based engines and 5-6 speed manual transmissions. That's the goal for my 2000 LS V8 Sport and the 3.9l 32 valve V8 and 5 speed automatic transmission will be stuffed in the roughly 1,000lbs lighter super straight Fox body '81 Mercury Zephyr I got last year which will be a hoot with some performance Mustang suspension upgrades.

    2:37 Don’t put in random foot mats because they might get your accelerator stuck and have your car go out of controol. If your car does start to accelerate out of controol then put your foot on the brake hard and shift it into neutral. And pull over. Then turn your car off and put your car in park. While it’s off because the last thing that you want Is to have your car accelerate out of controol while in reverse.

I used to be a car dealer years ago, and I was always weary of the low mileage used cars, high miles for a little money is the way to go. I just wen to get subway in mine, lol. IT MADE IT!!!

      hey buddy! The 2002 model is a GEN 1 which ran form 2000-2002, Gen 2 is 2003-2006. This one is a second gen model. The main differences are more power and an electric cooling fan instead of a hydraulic power unit in the 2002 models. It really comes down to the condition of the car, and trim level, you know. Otherwise these are great cars if you get them for cheap and in normal shape. BTW the ford thunderbird models are the same exact cars (other than the body) as the First gen models. SO it's the cheapest way to get a 20+K used Thunderbird drivetrain for cheap, in this Lincoln.

      I have an LS Lincolon also which I bought brand new, do you know what causes the intermittent air conditioner problem where it starts blowing heat on either side, or one side and not the other,, but when you go in the store, come back out.. start the car, and it is blowing cold air again. Dealer said it has to be doing this when I bring it in for them to fix it, because it has NO CODE.. whatever,, It only does it when you go on a trip, or somewhere away from the dealer, and by the time you get it there, it is blowing cold air again. Just wondered if you have had this problem I cannot remember the mileage when this started, but I now have 74,000 on it, and seems I have been struggling with the AC problem for 5 years now. They have done everything like cost me $1800 to do an air conditioner job, replacing coolant doing this and that, and then go on a 500 mile trip and boom, hot air blowing out of the vent... just wondering if you have experienced this.. thanks

      Steve J brother wow you live in a beautiful area those Redwood forests are amazing! I rode a lot of miles through the red wood forest and it was the time of my life! And bro you pay more for your apartment than I do for my whole house on 1.5 acres of land! But still where your at is beautiful and Im sure the ladies are too!! Hopefully you are getting paid good so it kinda evens out. Here on the complete opposite side of Cali the cost of living here is not bad but expensive in New York and further up north! I live in a good area things are not to expensive! Until you travel north haha!

      EastSide RC yes thankfully I do alright for myself. But I’m ready for a move.
      The stupid laws and excessive taxes out here are insane.

      Remove the intake box silencer and drop in a K&N ..Keep the cats but remove the resonator and add some Super 44's in place of the stock mufflers..It will sound great and not crazy loud

      hey bro! AHAHAH, you got a seriously good point right here. LOL. The other day I took this car to a legit car show and pretended it was very cool while I parked next to random other car show cars. AHHAHA. Some people were actually talking about this thing too. I was surprised. I got em!!

      Once those cons are worked out, tho, the Lincoln LS is a great car. In my opinion, of course. I own an 02 Lincoln LS V8 for the last 6 yrs. And with now over 271k miles on the clock, she still runs and drives. ...I love these cars.

      Hey bro i agree the lse is cool in terms of the body style but does it have the thx audio and the nav system?? To me the ultimate package is the best version of this car. Althought the lse body is nicer, i agree.
