I have gone back and watched your earlier career performances with Peanut. It's amazing how he evolved over the years. I know that a lot of it is becoming more comfortable in your own skin, but I could watch an entire show with Peanut with no problem at all. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work with us Jeff.
Imagine the hours and hours of practice, I'm amazed he's still married. Then again, maybe his wife isn't that far behind in terms of "insanity", how else could you endure this. He is funny as hell.
He did divorce his first wife sometime after this, but he remarried to his current wife Audrey.
It might not take too much practice. Say maybe 20 hours per show. With only a couple a year, he could get away with only practicing an hour or so a day. And it replaces a 8-10 hour a day job.
And his first wife was good looking too.
I can imagine how many girlfriends he had as a teenager?

Peanut has always been my absolute favorite of Dunham’s puppets, right from the very first moment I saw him as a 10 year-old with my older cousin in Christmas 2008.
This is one of the quintessential examples of why that is the case.

Sometime I wonder when Jeff is arguing with Peanut, or other characters, that he gets so into it that he slips into a sort of "split personality." I know it's all an act, but it looked like Peanut was truly getting on Jeff's nerves. Obviously, Jeff is control of the whole thing, but it just makes me wonder.
