Im tense and nervous and I... cant relax.
I cant sleep, cause my beds on fire.
Dont touch me Im a real live wire.

You start a conversation you can't even finish it.
You're talking a lot, but you're not saying anything.
When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed.
Say something once, why say it again?
Psycho Killer,
Qu'est-ce que c'est? [What is it?]
fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa better
Run run run run run run away
OH OH OH
Psycho Killer

Run run run run run run away

AY AY AY AY
Ce que j'ai fait, ce soir-là [What I did that night]
Ce qu'elle a dit, ce soir-là [What she said that night]
Réalisant mon espoir [Making my hope come true]
Je me lance vers la gloire ... okay [I hurl myself toward glory]
YA YA YA YA YA YA YA YA YA YA YA
We are vain and we are blind
I hate people when they're not polite
Psycho Killer,

David Byrne and Richard Thompson together. What a show that must have been!!!
Wow I have no idea how these two got together but I'm glad they did, and I wish I could have been there.
Scottish heritage.
Two of the best men ever. I love a weirdo...just like God loves a drunk. THIS is the best.
Oh my gracious where has THIS been all my life?! I would LOVE to hear Richard Thompson record "Psycho Killer' in the studio. His Fenders ring like Notre Dame.
RT is there for his fabulous guitar. One of Rolling Stone Magazines top 10 best of all time - he's the man.
I swear that there's a electric guitar in there somewhere, but it's just RT doing his RT thing again: sounding like 3 guys playing guitar at once. This is the most inspirational thing I've seen in a very long time. Thank you for posting!
He used a distortion pedal for the solo.
Why hasn`t these gems worked together? The best has yet to come?
It's hard to harmonize with David but I think Richard does a fine job. I'm not gonna mention the fact that he's like one of the most underrated guitarists ever...too late.
+Kelly Moon you forgot to mention that Richard Thompson is one of the most underrated guitarists ever :P
+Garrett Zeff you forgot to mention that RT is one of the most underrated guitarists ever
+Mark Brown Did you know Richard Thompson is one of the most underrated guitarists ever?
+Garrett Zeff he's pretty good, but you oughta hear the guy who used to be married to Linda Thompson play! Almost as good as the guitarist for Fairport Convention!!
....You guys....
Years and years ago I had MP3s of this concert - the whole thing is legendary. Would love to try to find those again.
rjhelms did they do a whole show together?
The 4 people who dislike this must think that David and Richard are singing about them.
+Richard Ryan :))
LOL. Online trolls are a hoot!
Btw: Richard and Linda Thompson Rockpalast is interesting --- marriage on the rocks, still brilliant music and singing (not separate) at times.
this used to be my personal theme song, when I was arguably somewhat deranged
the feel and the good combine
@ Catweasel...I remember David doing a wonderful version of Richards "Just the Motion" on an album called "Beat the Retreat", various artists covering his songs.
Wow just wow
Greatly enjoyable and a lot of fun. Thanks!
thank you for posting. that was faboo
Love Thomsen and have heard him several times live.... I like Byrne (love Talking Heads) and did not see this coming
love this version
Glad 2 see David showing some respect.
That's an interesting second verse, never heard it before.
more like this❤
A rare gem. Fa fa fa fa, Fa fa fa fa faaaaaaaaaaa
Riches. This is solid gold. For sharing this you have done a lifetime of good karma!
"Listen to me now
I've passed the test.
I think I'm cute,
Think I'm the best.
Skirt tight
Don't like that style.
Don't criticize
What I know is worthwhile...."
GREAT fun.
Cannot deal with the awesome!
Genius x 2
Squared!
Wow, thanks. I never knew what those French lyrics meant. I still don't really, but thanks for translating!
The late Benjamin Lo-Fi liked Richard Thompson, and David Byrne, and sent them both some cheese on toast in the post. We are still unearthing songs by the late Benjamin, which you can find by clicking here...thank you...
weirdo ;)
The Talking Heads WERE brilliant, and they were more than the sum of their parts... without them he is just quirky old David Byrne.
I love to find links like these... (even if it doesn't sound that good)...
unreal
Conor Doran bless my soul
@catweasel28 i think i recall the two of them doing vincent black lightning
Wow is all I can say

Thanks ,
Even in the Talking Heads heyday (and I went to many of their concerts) there was awful music too... but pop music these days has few gems
...NOT underrated I have always enjoyed his playing and singing.
when and where?
😮
The boys............xxx
Glad you were alert to this wee sneaky one I slipped under the Jaggies radar d:-))))
xxx
Yes it was The Bhoys nicht the nicht....
xxx
wow that long ago?
You're kind of right about the electric guitar, since there is a cord coming from RT's guitar.
thought 'man in need' from SOTL by RT/LT in '82 sounds like Psychokiller...just connected the dots. i be damned.
True. I should have said Strat. He sounds Stratuesque.
Great song which explains something of the Narcissus Complex - see here an example of the damage it can do - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clayton_Weatherston
Feelings, Everything that Happens, David Byrne (the album), Look into the Eyeball, and even Rei Momo are all superior to everything he ever did in the Heads.
Does anyone know what show this was?

Despicable for David to grandstand with a notable guest next to him. Share the love. (The song is even about that)
Well, it is a Talking Heads song. As a musician, I'd expect Byrne to take the lead on this song. After all, Byrne co-wrote it and performed it as the lead singer w/ the TH. If you are aware of how artists communicate non-verbally and look closely, you see Byrnes looking at Thompson and smiling slightly at points. At least we can see that Byrnes is enjoying the collaboration. I've seen RT a lot and he loves to improv behind a a rhythm guitar. As for this song being about sharing the love...I don't get that at all. Are we talking about the song in this video?!?
Lots of folks don't think of Bryne as a good player. Of course, Thompson certainly is.
greatsilentwatcher
I'm a huge Byrne fan. Pick any album and listen to the talent.
Qu'est-ce que-c'est?
I feel like I’ve seen RT do this one solo. No?
He does a song called Psycho Street
1 person has no soul...
Nice to see Richard Thompson helping out an old has been like Byrne...
One of the ten best guitarists in the world on stage with you and all he does is hammer out chords. What a waste.
