I've seen him probably 30 times over the years, but only twice with a band (back in the late 1980s). He's touring with a band again this year, but unfortunately the shows are a bit far away from me, and there's hardly any seats left ---- they're expensive too ---- and they're up in the nosebleed section. The economics of touring with a band are difficult these days unless you're a huge star, but I'm glad to see he's able to get out there and perform again. I used to see him solo in small clubs for about $40 back in the 90's !
I believe it was about former band member Clive Gregson, after he'd delivered a less than enthusiastic verdict on one of Mr T's albums. "And if I helped you once, it was no big deal..."
Thanks for sharin this awesome rawker
Electrifying!!!!!!
That man is a pure genius
Sublime! ❤
A masterclass on controlled aggression.
This is one of the snarliest, nasty, dissonant solos you'll ever hear.
Agree!
Simply amazing.....as always!
He is just SO SO good!
Saw Richard Thompson twice, absolutely stellar both times.

Michael Jerome is great! Both Thompson's are always good.
That solo blows most solos out of the atmosphere!
Any inkling who this song was written about? Who is "pal"?
I had heard it is about Bob Dylan wronging Richard in some way. Not 100% sure it is true, but that has been written.
I doubt it @@yokerecords803
@@Cleapatr You are probably right
