- How to Fix Webcam not Showing in OBS | Webcam Does Not Show Inside OBS | Webcam Won't Work in OBS. In this tutorial I will show you how to fix your webcam in OBS. I will give four different fixes that you can try in order to get your webcam showing again in OBS.

For reals. Tried 4 other videos and this one nailed it.
None of these were my issue but this video did guide me to where I DID find my issue. In the properties for my webcam source in OBS the cam was set to a resolution the cam didn't support for some reason. I changed this to a supported resolution and the image immediately came back. This is SUCH a good video! There is nobody else that talked about why OBS was so squirrely when dealing with multiple cameras. I would have to restart OBS every time to get the cameras to work and I had no idea what the issue was.

a start up program was using my camera, took your advice and disabled it and it fixed my problem. thanks a lot.
Spot on brother! Was trying to figure out how to stream and had the webcam open in logitech's software. Closed logitech's software & then restarted OBS. Worked perfectly, and you explained it in less than 90 seconds! And all without making me feeling stupid. Rock on!

I was searching literally for 20 hours to find a solution for this problem... i deactivated my gdata firewall, uninstalled the webcam, clear-installed my pc, tried a few other usb-ports... nothing seems to work. sometimes my webcam showed and sometimes it doesnt. and i werent able to figure out how i get it to work correctly in the scenes i needed... and then u came with this... "deactivate when not showing"... aaaaaaaaand it starts to work like i want to... im done. thank you really really much for this video u kinda safed my internet activity

I did these steps with the added step of hiding and showing my webcam and it popped up, thanks ya! This boggled me for 2 weeks
Thanks man! This video helped, though in the end I had to right click on Video Capture Device and select Order, then the Order Up button, and that fixed the issue.

Step 3 fixed my issue, first time using a camera!
Thank you this worked! Only extra step I had to do was to check and uncheck the "eye" icon on one of the scenes and suddenly the webcam appeared.

Ahhhh, deactivate was my issue too. I was testing something out, made a new version of my camera, and didn't have deactivate on. All hell broke loose. Good thing I was doing this a day before I go live. Great vid, dude!

Thanks, bro! You helped me fix my problem. My issue was that my dedicated webcam recorder, even while "disconnected", was still taking priority of my webcam connection. I shut that application down and now it works :)

Thanks these are some great solutions people can try. As for my case I actually imported my OBS scene to another account, everything works except for my webcam and all I did was deleting my webcam and "add video" look for my camera. Fixed! (:

Hi, Thanks for making this video. It was very helpful to know of all these possibilities. In my case, none of them worked, but what did work was to delete my webcam from the sources in OBS and then add it again. I hope this helps someone.
Awesome vid! Thankfully my problem was mostly the first solution... Although, for some reason I had to add a 3rd scene with no active cameras before switching between my main 2 scenes.

I want to specifically mention this, because it might help you as well as others.
The problem I was facing was the IV one. Yes Indeed its true man, My K7 Antivirus was blocking Webcam for OBS acess. I had to turn off Webcam protection from my end to give access to OBS. That fixed my OBS streaming.
You were a bit less confident when explaining the IV problem, so I thought, by writing it here it brings more clarity to everybody . Thanks anyway.
All I had to do was watch the first 45 seconds. Has the thing running in the camera app and that's why it wouldn't work in OBS. Thanks so much man, and enjoy this like!
