    Fascinating thymus info. Stuff like that makes me wonder how much of the negative effects of aging are really long term nutritional deficiencies.

    Great video, Dr. Berg! Zinc is indeed a powerhouse nutrient that often gets overlooked. As a fellow wellness creator, I appreciate how you highlighted its role in immune support and overall health.
    It's fascinating to note that zinc not only aids in enzyme function but also plays a critical role in DNA synthesis and cell division, which is vital for healing and growth. Additionally, I’d like to add that certain populations, such as vegetarians and pregnant women, may be at a higher risk for zinc deficiency due to dietary restrictions.
    Encouraging viewers to include zinc-rich foods like nuts, seeds, and legumes in their diets can be a great way to prevent deficiency. Thanks for shedding light on this important topic! Looking forward to more insightful content from your channel!

    Hello. I’d like to add a statement to the thymus gland. So I HAD a hypothyroid issue and I was follow dr Westin Childs videos which lead me to his supplements. Now I didn’t pay for the supplements but I realized that it was a bunch of glandulars mixed in so I went to the Swanson website and ordered pituitary glandulars, thymus glandulars, adrenal glandulars thyroid glandulars and the multi glandular for women which contains uterine glandulars, ovarian glandulars, heart tissue, kidney tissue and liver tissue and it changed my entire life. Aging backwards is an understatement. I’m 28 but people thought I was a hard 34💔. I’ve been taking these glandulars for 3 weeks and the first thing I noticed was I was sleeping through the night. Second thing I noticed was my dreams came back because I had lost them for a couple years. I noticed less inflammation to the point where I was able to crack my back which is something I couldn’t do because I was so stiff and inflamed. Another crazy thing I noticed is fat in my face has come back but like in a good healthy way. My energy is amazing I’m not jittery or running on E. I wake up clear minded and I don’t already dread the day ahead which is what I love the most! I also have this new found capability to work out. My mind to body connection is finally back on track. For some reason I was having problems while working out where I couldn’t find my core and I couldn’t stay balanced and my center was just off and it was causing me to work out wrong which lead to minor injuries. I couldn’t explain it but now it is a thing of the past. I’ve been taking these glandulars for 5 weeks now . Every other day in the morning . I said all this just to say try glandulars .

    Candida feeds on zinc. That was the cause of my zinc deficiency. Zinc is needed for DHT production. Without it I had bad brain fog, no ability to feel sexual pleasure, and difficulty building muscle. Even taking TRT did nothing for me. Testosterone can't fully function without some of it being converted to DHT is what I've come find out. There is research that backs my personal experience out there if there's any doubt.

    Since taking zinc with magnesium along with D3 and K2, the pre mature heartbeats I used to experience vanished completely! And they were occurring on a regular basis. There is another interesting good side effect for me Since taking these supplements my stools are a lot less smelly and the odor of flatulence is from little to none. Not sure why but there is definitely a significant difference!

    Recently told I had low Vitamin D. I’m quite upset because over the years not one doctor or my nephrologist has tested my Vitamin D. I had a renal transplant in 2014 so have been having 0.025 calcitriol since then.
    I have has severe head sweats for the past 5 years. I did try the Botox but ceased after the second treatment due to the pain. I did ask my previous Nephrologist if it could be caused by the prograf I was on. He said no but didn’t suggest Vitamin D test. A bone density scan has shown that my L3 & L4 have osteoporosis. Hips and Neck of femur are osteopenia. This is why my new nephrologist tested my Vit D.
    I also have Bipolar Affective Disorder 1. I have had a lot of depression over the last 5 years whilst being on Sertraline and Lamictal. I spent 3 months in a private mental health clinic to change my antidepressant to Dothep. Now after learning about the low Vitamin D I wonder how long has it been low and how much of my depression, and all the other symptoms you list are from Vit D and not my Bipolar. I feel as though the last 5 years have been have lost. My Vit D =37. Healthy range is >50-125. I am on now on 0.050 micrograms.

    • @sarageorge6673
      @sarageorge6673 3 месяца назад +1

      @@LupeC100 It just means to keep an eye on the temperature and to recognize patterns. I don’t medicate my kids for a fever unless it gets too high. I rarely have to medicate. You can find tables online for the ages of your children to know when a fever gets too high. When it does, that’s when you medicate and call a doctor. My mom always gave us a bath when we had a fever, to help lower it naturally a little. Also, a fever tends to go up in the middle of the night, and this is a natural pattern. If you let it do its work, then generally the fever will break in the morning. Because we don’t tend to medicate, the illness that causes it is healed quicker than when someone keeps medicating. The fever is hindered, and it can’t do its job because the fever keeps being lowered to where it is ineffective.

    As usual, Dr. Berg hit the nail on the head! Zinc plays a vital role in numerous bodily functions, from supporting our immune system to aiding in wound healing and even influencing our sense of taste and smell. What’s fascinating is that zinc is involved in over 200 enzymatic reactions, which means it’s essential for processes like protein synthesis and DNA synthesis. Make sure you get your zinc and copper in, folks!

    I am a trained ophthalmologist. When I listened to this video I immediately went to PUB MED to restudy this subject. Everything he said about zinc and copper perhaps being important to help slow cataract formation is correct, although many of the studies were done in mice. Zinc and copper are important to decrease oxidative stress all over the body .
    But, no matter what, everyone is developing cataracts as they age and taking zinc and copper will not stop that. Dr. Berg did not have that quite correct. Most cataracts are due to the fact that the lens is an epithelial tissue and thus keeps growing as you grow. By the time you’re 60, your lens is a lot thicker than it was when you were born. Other changes occur which is seen in actual yellowing of the lens which the doctor can see at the slit lamp. These change are there in all patients in their 40’s so technically that’s a cataract. But most of us don’t mention them to patients until they start affecting the vision and the age range in that is vast (40- 90) and depends on many factors. Over the years the lens will get yellower and denser. If you don’t get it removed, it may even progress to a brown color. Many, many factors affect this process. Some people develop cortical cataracts, which are the cataracts that actually are white swaths in the lens and some have a combination of these two changes.
    These days in the hands of a skilled surgeon, cataract surgery is quick and very successful surgery. New lenses are inserted. You should not be afraid to have cataract surgery if you’re having trouble seeing and your ophthalmologist says the reason is cataracts. Barring a serious complication (.1% to 1% depending on the complication) you’ll see better immediately after the surgery. The surgery is done with topical anesthesia but most surgical centers use a little IV sedation to relax the patient along with that. I had one eye done with the sedation and the other without. I didn’t feel anything during either procedure but the sedation made some of the normal sensations easier to ignore. Just make sure your surgeon is experienced and uses the most modern techniques.
