This version would make a very great anthems song at soccer, Gaelic football, rugby games or a party of friends (that you have just meet). I never say saw the mighty Scott take the lead before on Whiskey In The Jar before
You are right, he was always reluctant to do so and used to leave this task to each other guitar player in Thin Lizzy, but at this occasion, there was no loophole for him ;-)
Takes me back to 1973 i was 23 amazing and the best band since i saw hendrix on I.O.W 1970 i think i was 11 mom was a beatnik / hippy and we had loads of musicians visiting our farm house some times they would have a jaming session growing up was epic...
Hi John That is not quite right. The Original Thin Lizzy Was Eric Bell, Brian Downey & The blessed and most holy Phil, But you are completely correct if you were referring to the Phil, Brian Robbo & Scott Thin Lizzy,
I can honestly say there are few sub standard versions of this awesome song . Catch One Night in Dublin concert Eric Bell Gary Moore version . Also Gorham and Moore rip up Cowboy Song to destruction... fantastic players all of ‘em
Terrific version - Scott is still awesome - just wish he would shave off that grey fungus on his face, it doesn’t suit him - hate it! Long live the memories of Thin Lizzy and all the boys, still the greatest band!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
