I am. I’d never heard this particular one. Really regret not seeing Survivor when Jimi was with them. I saw them with Kansas when Dave Bickler was lead singer and John Elefante was lead singer for Kansas. I did see Kansas again with Steve Walsh. But, man I’d loved to have seen Jimi live. Just an incredible singer. He and Sammy Hagar are the only two “replacement singers” in bands that I thought were better than the originals. Well, Steve Perry of course. But he really wasn’t a replacement.

I don't like when people use the word underrated, it's thrown around way too much. Jimi did deserve more recognition but he was not underrated. I prefer him over Dave as lead vocalist of Survivor

This was not too many yrs before his passing at 63. RIP Jimmy. You had an incredible and powerful voice. Especially in your young years, and you were incredibly handsome. None of Us know how long we have in this life. We can only hope that theres anyone left to remember or carry us in their heart instead of just being forgotten and vanishing into thin air. That never happens with the wonderful music left behind lives on in the hearts of those who loved them. Their music becomes the forever memory, not a forgotten yesterday.❤

I just found this out the other day. It was in years ago in 2014, right after he turned 63. I just love him as a singer and showman so much. He was the face and voice of 'Survivor'. Gone far too soon. I'm very sad now knowing this, but also will NEVER you Jamie.

This is absolutely incredible I wish I was there. Jimi is an Legendary Icon. Truly Amazingly Incredible talent. Beyond words even. Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple/Rainbow): "I had seen Jimi in Survivor and was very impressed. I remember going down to Tennessee to meet him and I really liked him as a person. He then came up to try out with Deep Purple. We did one song, I think it was 'Going Down' and he was so good I immediately stopped playing and just said, 'You're in!' He said, 'Don't you want to do more songs?' I said, 'No, you are so damn good, I know that you are perfect for the job.' We went out and celebrated at a restaurant. I was full of ideas due to his melodic, soulful voice, and he could improvise much better than a lot of singers I knew so he had every aspect I was looking for in a singer. Very, very nice guy. Very humble. Unfortunately, two weeks later, we were told he couldn't join the band. We never found out why. I think it had something to do with the management. I was surprised and saddened by what happened, and it was a mystery to me what had gone down. It was a bad moment for me. I rated him as one of the top singers in the country."
