⬜Tegu Socializing Results & Goals at Day 5

- We took in a new tegu on short order which gives us an unexpected opportunity to discuss how to manage and gain the trust of a new animal that's a bit agro towards people. We will be expanding his enclosure soon as he will need more space than what we have, but for the time being we still want to record every interaction to show how some patience can bring around an animal that may otherwise be a little risky to handle.

I love how you think...and teach!!! THank you!😊
This is a great series. I think a lot of people are weary of owning reptiles because they have no idea what to expect in the beginning stages. You make it seem simple.
Buenos consejos
Totally agree with you on the gloves!
There are some people on Instagram that I truly admire with their choice-based handling but sometimes you just need to go in a couple of times a week for 10-15 minutes a day and handle them. Even if it's against their will at first.
@@judydruetto2636 huh?
Really enjoying these vids Tim.
Great video always looking forward to the next one, you can't please everyone, somebody always has something to say. Keep up the great work.
Good video Tim. You’re doing great with your new guy, he’s coming right along 👍.
Looking forward to seeing how he does in the open out of the enclosure
I clicked on this because I thought it was about Tengu but it's about Tegu either way a win .
hi
I still think you might be interested in how I communicate with the reptiles lol just saying
Hello! So I recently took in a ball python that was super skinny, covered in mites and had a stuck shed. She is free of mites and I helped her shed. I have yet to get her to eat, she is not interested at all, even when I tried assist feeding. How can I make/ help her eat?
It may take some time, they can be picky eaters. I would soak her regularly for an hour or so at a time in warm water to help her hydrate becauase shes no doubt dehydrated, still offer food weekly but I wouldnt worry much if its only a couple weeks refusals, once shes comfortable and rehydrated she will likely start right in for ya.
@@IntrepidExotics thank you so much
