I actually don't like Noah that much: 1. Even if it was tradition in the earth forces, hitting a subordinate for ANY reason is a show of weakness on the COs part. 2. He is propably singlehandedly responsible for the Federations willingness to use Children in the numbers that they did by proving time and again that children could perform well on the battlefield. Not to mention the Gundam Team in ZZ.
I’m thinking that Char’s second in command would be one of the captains on the list since Char gave him command of his ship. I think Char would also be on the list just for being quite famous amongst the Zeon military. I also wonder if Ramba Ral would be on the list.
“The alternate universe version of this video.” ... does that mean you’re going to talk about, THE UNDEFEATED OF THE EAST, MASTER ASIA! The guy can destroy grunt suits with nothing but a scarf and his own martial arts.
Small note about the bright slap it's well known to be lethal unless you hit him back. 5:53 I can see why. The pressure of the shells alone would at least blow him off his feet or knock him out, if not cause a concussion or internal bleeding. At minimum. Good list, I agree with all of your picks here. Nice to see MS Igloo get some more attention, both seasons of that are really underrated. There's a couple of examples I'd also include from Crossbone that follow one after another, right around the time Zabine Chareux mutinies to the Jupiter Empire. The first guy I'd mention is Professor Karas, who for some reason doesn't have a page on the gundam wiki despite him being one of the more interesting characters. He initially poses as Tobia's elderly professor, but is secretly a Jupiter Empire secret agent responsible for smuggling poison gas. Following the reveal of that fact, he survives being blown into space and the next time he appears, he manages to singlehandedly infiltrate the Mother Vanguard and kidnap Bernadette - upon exiting the ship in his normal suit, he's caught in the hand of Tobia Arronax's Pez Batara, only for him to cripple the mobile suit's sensors with grenades, pop the hatch, shoot Tobia and capture him as well. He does all of this in just a normal suit despite being an old man. He's probably the closest thing UC has to Master Asia. The other example is Tobia himself - following his capture, he's sentenced to death by being forced to fight the Crossbone Gundam X2 on foot with nothing other than a rifle in gladiatorial combat. With a little luck and lot of creative thinking, he uses the rifle to force the X2's balloon decoy to trigger, uses the resulting chaos and confusion to hijack it, and then uses its core fighter to escape, navigating back to the Mother Vanguard using nothing but some savvy guesswork (and probably some newtype inuition too, despite what he says to the contrary)
The way it has time to just look over at the Tanks before they fire too lol... You can almost hear the Pilot going "Ah... Shit." Before getting blasted.
He didn't make the list, but one very underated moment of badassery was Captain Otto not negotiating with Sleeve terrorists when they tried to hold his crew hostage in Gundam Unicorn. You get that moment where the little brats act like they arrogantly hold all the cards and Otto will just fold like every other corrupt weak willed feddie officer... Then roars like a lion at them putting them in their place as his soldiers retake the ship in a coordinated counter attack that hands the sleeves nads back to them on a platter.
Otto is like a goofy person that you won't take seriously until he shouts at you with anger. The Nahel-Argama Crew's suppressed reactions when he talked shit in front of Angelo was priceless. He was just like a comic relief in Unicorn just to lighten the mood (yeah, just like how he spit a tea in front of his subordinated, that shit was funny) but when thing gets heated up, he kicks ass
Bright Noa was so clueless during his first days at White Base. But over time he became more and more capable commander. He led the Londo Bell which is some thing equals to Delta Force. And lol Shiro Amada took out his wife the first time they met. Now that's badass.
Bright Noah is THE certified memetic badass in ALL of Gundam, UC and Alternate Universe combined. Let's not forget he's the youngest person to ever be awarded command of a starship, and the youngest ever supreme commander of anything (Londo Bell). The very reason why he ended up as a shuttle pilot is because of the good ol' Japanese tradition of dead end promotions, and is meant to show that the Federation was rife with corruption at the time of Zeta Gundam. Bright had a faster track than any officer and will take no s*** from his compatriots or superiors, so it's only natural they'd try to get rid of him at their earliest convenience. They unfortunately finally succeeded when they made him sign the execution papers for his own son =.=, but to be fair it took the corrupt Fed decades to get one over him.
Shiro is probably one of the best soldiers period. I wanna see a vid on the best soldiers in uc time line. This means from fleet commanders to infantry they do not need to be pilots but can be. They also do not need to be badasses just good soldiers.
It’s interesting that anti ms squad kills are based on group effort, while the tanks and ms get more individualized kill counts. Barberry squad took a heavy beating that the new recruits got 2 weeks training instead of 3 like the previous batch for this grim situation.
I’d say Robbert Gomez from Victory is the most badass to me. He is a 55 year old man who was a big part of the defeat of Zanscare and went out in glory, ramming his ship into the enemy.
We also speak of Sleggar clones, what with how there's one in Build Fighters... The protagonist from my novel does pilot a Gundam, but a lot of his best work was either done at the controls of a Mobile Armour or his Light Carrier, the latter he used to ram down a Stealth Corvette, which, being invisible to radar, meant he had to find it the old fashioned way, all while a battle between two Gundams was raging around them! And not to mention they were doing this in a whiteout, near a military base that was lost amidst the haze of said blizzard!
@@Xeno-The-Wanderer It was a ship, a Light Carrier, with medium weaponry (not many even armed forces carried all that heavy weaponry on even their Mobile Armours, too much fear over a past they didn't fully understand)! To give you an idea, the heaviest armed Mobile Armour was a machine produced in low numbers due to costs of both weaponry and the armour itself and meant to be piloted by two people called the Whalebane! He was already an accomplished Mobile Armour pilot, though he was still scarred by a conflict that took place 5 years prior in orbit around Deimos, the larger of Mars' two moons! This also took place in Earth's Siberian region, in a time when humanity either lived in Domed Cities on the surface of Mars or in giant space colonies known as STARS (Satellite Terrestrial exo-Atmospheric Relay Stations), so Earth was literally an alien planet to them! The Gundam he used was with another ship, they'd all come to Earth chasing a series of signals that had sent out the message "It's ready... Gundam", this base in Siberia being one source and housing the heavy artillery unit, the Gen. II unit 002, the Barrage Gundam! His was the Gen. III unit 001, Commando Gundam, a general purpose Mobile Suit! The Barrage was fighting the series' seemingly obligatory transforming Gen. III unit 006, Recon Gundam (there were 8 signal sources in all, as well as two more Gundams, both Gen. IV units, showing up, they uncover plans for a total of 16 Gundams, though only 12 are hinted at being complete)!
Sumeragi from 00 is probably the closest an AU series has ever had to Bright Noa, I also remember Sally Po being more badass outside of a Mobile Suit than inside. Speaking of Wing, Treize and Wufei did a some cool shit on foot despite primarily being pilots.
@@zerox8413 1. I haven't seen AWGX so I apologize for my ignorance. 2. He was an MS pilot before the series and goes on to pilot again later in the series.
@@grandadoboman1995 yeah but when you really think about it Duo didn't really do much outside the cockpit and Quatre only built Wing Zero; Trowa was at least a great Acrobat and was a near perfect infiltrator. Honestly I think Wufei and Heero were the only ones to rack up a major kill count outside the cockpit.
I actually did have a weird dream about the Gundam franchise a few days ago. I was wondering what was going on so much that I forgot what happened. Whatever it was though, it didn't involve my dream ground type mobile suit mauling a state of the art mobile armor with its giant freaking hammer.
#3 was the one I was waiting for. If you are talking about a badass without a suit nothing beats taking out a high performance prototype suit piloted by an ace pilot with the biggest joke of a weapon in the universe, a ball. If this wasn't brought up in the video I definitely would have in the comments.
Just wanted to add, that back in the PS2 days, I had a DVD movie of MSG, and one day after school, I burned a ring into it by watching Bright slap Amuro in a 5 second loop for 3 hours. One of my fondest memories
Bright Noa is also the only man capable of stopping Ryoma Nagare from killing someone. There's a scene in Super Robot 30 where Char Aznable joins the crew, Ryoma and Kouji understandably want to kill him on the spot for what he did in CCA, and Bright is capable of talking them down. No one disobeys an order from Captain Noa!
Future video topic. There's a lot of badass women in Gundam that deserve a spotlight. These writers know how to do that without talking down to or insulting their audience, an increasingly lost art these days.
I'm pretty sure you'll have to skip G-Gundam as a whole for the A.U. list. When the two most powerful characters can kick skyscrapers out of the way (from beneath!) and destroy mobile weapons more or less unarmed... And yes, Master Asia IS my favorite anime character ;)
Yeah, it would be very unfair to include mobile Fighter G Gundam mainly because even some of the weaker gundam fighters is capable enough to punch buildings over with their bare fists alone. Domon and Master Asia Undefeated Of The East are essentially war crimes against the Geneva convention just being alive.
Seconding the nomination of Garrod Ran if he already isn't on your list. The first time we see the kid he hijacks his universe's equivalent of a Zaku II (with enemy pilot still inside) with nothing but a flashbang, a pistol, amd his two brass balls.
6:03 good point, the shockwave from the bullet alone would have killed him. Just like shooting a 20 mm round today could kill someone even if they aren't hit.
AMS squads did a lot better in the Asian Theater due to the terrain and forests. But hats off to AMS squads in the European front. No one would really dare to hold against squads of Zaku II when everything around you is simply flat plain with nothing to hide your heat signatures.
Aside for a sadly expected misunderstanding of the MSG Bright Slap, this was a fun video. ^_^ As for AU options, there's a couple obvious ones like Master Asia and Mu La Flaga, but also Grodek Ainoa (a computer tech who became one of the greatest captains in a century long war), Orga Itsuka, and of course, Relena Darlian. Oh, and we can't forget Garrod Ran. There are more, but this is already a bit long of a list and the two I really wanted to mention are on here.
Orga Itska from IBO. he never used a mobile suit in the show despite being given one, and when he did go into battle it was on the back of a mobile worker.
Well one of my favorites that wasn't mentioned on the list that I've seen was Captain Murrue Ramius from Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny, personally I wouldn't want to Captain a ship against 1 Gundam much less 5 Gundams, and more so I do t think I'd have the stones that she's had to face two armies and an old friend and ally. Oof she's been through a lot.
Kakarot197 Bright is my favorite GUNDAM character and deserves the respect you showed the character. He is always willing to listen and willing to change to help his crew and advance his objective. He is a well rounded and grounded character.
Killed 13 enemy mobile suits...on foot. In an alternate timeline where he survived and got a GM the Principality was forced to surrender three days later after having lost every mobile suit.
There are rocket launchers with a salt water packed in the exhaust vent so you can fire them from cover so I'm pretty sure they made them so Shiro Amada could do that
For the AU list assuming he's not already on it Edward "The Ripper" Harrelson. Dude ripped a DINN in half using his Spearhead even if it was an accident having the guts to go fighter to MS in any Gundam series is badass and getting a melee kill in said fighter is just as badass.
4:11, well shit an friggin rpg to the back of the turret, if only they had blow out panels, would have lost main canon ammo but would have at least been alive still potentially.
YEAH lol gotta have props for that Roy fokker shout out, Great idea for a video man, very smoothly executed :) My favorite was one of the ones i was not aware of - Lt. Barberry's anti mobile suit team, what is that from?!
Lady Une/Oz because Gundam Wing starts with 5 of the most powerful gundams ever compared to grunts and they literally have them beaten in like 12 episodes and then they continue to make them homeless basicly. Also Sally.
If he’s not on the list then the fifth spot should go to Eugene from IBO. Guy took a mobile worker to knock an anchor out of a asteroid, or meteor don’t know what to call a rock floating in space, managed to fly the isaribi perfectly enough near the hammerhead for his crew to get on board the ship without getting splattered on the surface, traveled through a debris zone without a scratch, and managed to connect via Alaya vinnyana and pilot two ships at once and succeeded with his diversion with cartas outer earth division.
btw in terms of badasses not using mobile suits in AU, we have Grodek Ainoa from Gundam Age...that guy formed an anti-Vagan army and planned the ops that took down a vagan stronghold all for his late family while technically commiting treason to the Feds. in wing, we have sally po, Fed soldier turned rebel. she sneaks, she steals gundam from oz and she wreaks havoc. and she convince wufei to finally work with her... the only thing on the main teaam to convince Wufei to join anything is the zero system...Sally po. seed only has mwu... and maybe andrew waltfeld... he such ramba ral and has a shotgun in his arm later.
Yo the zeon tank squad in 08th MS team . they took on ground type gundam .to give the rear admiral time to leave Odessa. The desert ppl in gundam seed and not to mention la flaga flew a support craft . . there are honorable mentions at least .

Slagger Law: Slapping women makes them fall in love with him.
🤣🤣🤣
Biggest tide turning battles in gundam and how it went (like the battle of jaburo/Solomon etc) would be great
Seeing 08th ms team makes me smile. Not including Eledore or Michel makes me cry.
i think it requires a bit more than sitting in the Bloodhound and pointing out targets to count as badass.
Michel once threw himself over a bridge while Shiro was fighting a Gouf Flight Type. It was an OVA but still has to give him some kind of points
eledore seems to be banned because his hobby lol
Eledore did that kick ass escape from zeons with a mobile suit or worker and got shot up a lot and lived
Then there're Mirai Yashima and Murrue Ramius. The gals made battleships do aileron roll like they're freaking Arwings.
It is reported Astronauts can hear the echoes of Bright's slaps to this day.
So powerful was his pimp hand that it was felt 200 years into the past
Shiro is probably one of the best soldiers period. I wanna see a vid on the best soldiers in uc time line. This means from fleet commanders to infantry they do not need to be pilots but can be. They also do not need to be badasses just good soldiers.
Awesome, MS Igloo is one of my all time favorite shows and needs a 3rd part.
It’s interesting that anti ms squad kills are based on group effort, while the tanks and ms get more individualized kill counts. Barberry squad took a heavy beating that the new recruits got 2 weeks training instead of 3 like the previous batch for this grim situation.
shiro is such a badass that he took down a ZAKU with a ball and met the future love of his life at the same time
I’d say Robbert Gomez from Victory is the most badass to me. He is a 55 year old man who was a big part of the defeat of Zanscare and went out in glory, ramming his ship into the enemy.
2:47 Tanks: Hi there! We're going to shoot you now!
Zaku:....
2:35 There should be a lesson during mobile suit training class called "Minovsky particles work both ways".
Bright slap be turning whiny boys into capable men of destiny since 1979!
And not to mention they were doing this in a whiteout, near a military base that was lost amidst the haze of said blizzard!
sounds like the gundam (assuming its performance is well above standard infantry) should be given to another ace pilot for maximum combat efficiency
Great video as always!
AU Suggestions:
Wing: Sally Po
G: Master Asia
X: Garrod
SEED: Cagali (seemed to be better out of a MS than in one)
00: Lasse
Jamil from X and Mu from Seed were also pretty badass when they weren't using MS. 00 had Ali, who was as deadly on foot as he was in a machine.
Shiro firing that bazooka straight up the Zaku's taint is one of the best anti-giant-robot moves by infantry since Armor Hunter Mellowlink.
Sumeragi from 00 is probably the closest an AU series has ever had to Bright Noa, I also remember Sally Po being more badass outside of a Mobile Suit than inside. Speaking of Wing, Treize and Wufei did a some cool shit on foot despite primarily being pilots.
How about Jamil from X?
@@zerox8413 1. I haven't seen AWGX so I apologize for my ignorance.
2. He was an MS pilot before the series and goes on to pilot again later in the series.
All the bois from Wing were trained spies and saboteurs. Them bois can do everything. I mean, if Quatre wanted it, he could be Batman.
@@DeamonChocobo Duo shot Heero while riding riding his mini copter, Quatre is smart and rich so...
this just reminds me i should sit down and watch the original series again.
I think this is one of your best vids yet. I was gettin all jazzed up watching. Keep it up kakarot197! Loving it!
the bazooka Squads has Balls made of luna titanium
Is it just me or is Bright immortal? From age 19(MSG 0079) to 36 (Gundam Unicorn) he doesn't seem to age a day in those nigh two decades.
Bright Noa would throw hands with the Gundam if he had to
Bright Noa is the unsung hero of the Universal Century.
2:46 when you manage to find the the entire enemy team by yourself.. also.... apparently fuck that one zaku in particular lol
MS Igloo was a brutal series, no matter how you slice it.
Bright in an episode of ZZ Gundam, "Come up to the bridge later, I'll set you straight."
Oh yeah, you know it's coming.
I think that was Zeta, not ZZ.
I had Aiguille Delaz in mind. He rallys a awesome squad together and gets operation stardust on the go. Even stays badass til the end with Chima.
3:48 tank shells did some serious damage the shrapnel inside the cockpit of that zaku man that to hurt
You do not know how many times I wanted Shin to get Brightslapped.
5:38 What it truly means to be butt hurt.
Now you mention it 5:45 damn Shiro just dodged Zaku machine gun's bullet!!!
Before you mention it, I never noticed that before,
Bright is a legend and has to be my favorite on this list. My memory is too foggy to think of other candidates but I'm sure they're out there.
Shiro with a f*ckin' Ball! Give him respect.
Seconding the nomination of Garrod Ran if he already isn't on your list. The first time we see the kid he hijacks his universe's equivalent of a Zaku II (with enemy pilot still inside) with nothing but a flashbang, a pistol, amd his two brass balls.
Bright Noa's Quirk: Newtype creation via slapping.
8:03 "I would follow you to the gates of hell (Sedan) and back!... Oh Captain, my Captain!!!"
6:03 good point, the shockwave from the bullet alone would have killed him. Just like shooting a 20 mm round today could kill someone even if they aren't hit.
2:46. That clip is from Gihren's Greed, isn't it?
Props for the MS Igloo picks.
Igloo 2 was way under rated in my opinion. All 3 episodes are badass.
AMS squads did a lot better in the Asian Theater due to the terrain and forests. But hats off to AMS squads in the European front. No one would really dare to hold against squads of Zaku II when everything around you is simply flat plain with nothing to hide your heat signatures.
With everything that happened in Unicorn and after playing SRWV, I definitely gained respect for Captain Otto and would mind serving under him.
He's a fan fave, such a cool dude.
Bright Noa is the heart of UC.
Him and Amuro are the best representation of an exemplary Freddie. Especially Bright since he's always there.
Aside for a sadly expected misunderstanding of the MSG Bright Slap, this was a fun video. ^_^
As for AU options, there's a couple obvious ones like Master Asia and Mu La Flaga, but also Grodek Ainoa (a computer tech who became one of the greatest captains in a century long war), Orga Itsuka, and of course, Relena Darlian. Oh, and we can't forget Garrod Ran. There are more, but this is already a bit long of a list and the two I really wanted to mention are on here.
I love the scene where the zaku turns around and those tanks are just staring at it, there's like a two second awkward silence it's hilarious
Orga Itska from IBO.
he never used a mobile suit in the show despite being given one, and when he did go into battle it was on the back of a mobile worker.
10:34 *WHERE THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE*
I’ll just leave this here.
HAIR FLUTE INTENSIFIES!!!!!!!
She patented the Archangel barrel roll. It was pretty badass the way they took out the Minerva like that.
She basically genderbend of Captain of Red October after all
Looks aside, Murrue Ramius is a damn badass captain. The fact that she went against multiple Gundams and two armies and LIVED is amazing
Going out firing a handgun at a Mobile Suit... That's some Kamina level manliness right there.
Kakarot197 Bright is my favorite GUNDAM character and deserves the respect you showed the character. He is always willing to listen and willing to change to help his crew and advance his objective. He is a well rounded and grounded character.
Too bad the federation was a shit hole...
I’m assuming for the alternate universe all the members of tekaden who operated a mobile worker will be on the list
Killed 13 enemy mobile suits...on foot. In an alternate timeline where he survived and got a GM the Principality was forced to surrender three days later after having lost every mobile suit.
There are rocket launchers with a salt water packed in the exhaust vent so you can fire them from cover so I'm pretty sure they made them so Shiro Amada could do that
Eu version needs garrod ran, who captured mobile suits with shades, a magnetic pistol and a flash grenade.
Lots of igloo love today. Now we need some Zudah~
Thats from ms igloo gravity front
@@cardinal2921 thank you!!
Lady Une/Oz because Gundam Wing starts with 5 of the most powerful gundams ever compared to grunts and they literally have them beaten in like 12 episodes and then they continue to make them homeless basicly. Also Sally.
2:46 imagine just looking at this for that 3 awkward second and they start firing you had 3 seconds to start regretting career choices XD
