Most of the time due to unavailability, you can't respond to your sender's email, which is sometimes very important, and your sender is unaware of your unavailability.
Outlook Out of Office (autoresponder) is designed to send an email to your sender as soon as your inbox hit with an email, and update them.

what if you want to send OOF everyday after 5pm and turn off the OOF message the next day at 9am? this way anyone emailing me after hours gets an OOF message auto sent? do you know i f this is possible and if yes let me know how thanks

This only work if your pc /outlook is on, otherwise doesn’t work
