Dowels do look good. I probably would have paint washed them grey but I gotta admit, the grey looks way good. I agree on the hardware but the style fits the style of the dresser. Maybe they could be painted gunmetal or black. You two rocked it.

Love the dowel, not the hardware. Great job.

I think the dowels look great, and I love the original hardware. Fancy, but not toooo dated looking like colonial hardware. Nice job!

I think the dowels look nice but I agree that they might have caused you too much headache and work to be worth it! Especially having to re-glue them back down!!! Ahhh! I hate having to go back and fix! The end result is beautiful! Great job!

This is sooo nice! Love the dowels. I don’t mind the hardware but something a bit simpler might be nicer.

Great tips again. I think the hardware goes nicely with this piece. Mid century style seems to be popular again . With the added texture on the top drawers and the paint color, it all goes together well with a nice update to mid Century. I love the look of the texture but I personally stay away from buying furniture with that much because it takes extra care and time to keep clean.

I like the hardware with this style. I’m more a fan of cane or rattan rather than dowels. I guess I can see them popping off in the future.

I have watched lots of your videos. I appreciate them all. I have started flipping furniture not quite a year ago. It’s my side hustle.
My question though is with Heirloom paint you used. You can water it down and it don’t affect the durability? I thought it said not to add water. I just ordered this paint to give it a try bc it may save time in the end.

I was nervous about that too. But I heard from others that it didn’t effect durability, so I tried it. And it’s true. For me, thinning HTP hasn’t made it less durable.

Do you think the All-in-One Paint would also work for a stair case? I've ripped up the carpet, I'm thinking of painting the MDF board
