    As a person who does furniture restoration, I confess that most of these people on RUclips make my skin crawl with this chalk painting. You, on the other hand, understand the assignment.     I love the way she lies on the floor when painting the bottom part and then stays there a while. It's what I would do too. And I like the way she talks about what she is doing while she does. I know other flippers do too but this lady is soo relaxing to watch, love it!

    I have a mid century furniture set from my Grandmother and have been looking for a good way to have it keep some of the wood but add some color. This video has convinced me to do a similar look to what you did here. I can't wait to get started and get this furniture looking absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for posting and including your newbie mistakes as well because it is going to be such an easier and more beautiful set of furniture making sure to do everything correctly.

    Furniture flipping problems: Applying wax all over everything because it smells amazing. I love the black and wood tone look. I wouldn't have thought to do the stripes on the drawers, but it definitely looks dapper! Awesome transformation Sabby!

    yes, please, primer tutorial! I have water-based and shellac-based. I prefer water-based when possible due to fumes but want to make sure I don't use it when I need shellac-based. Thank you!

    I'm watching your video and I have a laminate piece. You took your sander and I thought.....I can do that.
    Oh hell no. Now I know what's under the laminate. Had to tape and paint but all is good.
    I think I should practice on something I don't care about. Lesson learned.
    Love the results to this great piece of furniture. The curves are so pretty.

    This is beautiful. I have an old dresser, I got from my neighbor, and I am refinishing it, for my son. I am trying to remove some veneer, or laminate, or whatever it is. I am doing things to this dresser, for practice…so I know what I have to do later. I am really enjoying the process, though.

    I just did the same dresser in a similar way. I added gold legs and had to paint the bottom drwaers black because of some chipping. And made the wood raw with a little driftwood stain. I love this style

    I found a dresser very much like this one but it also had the mirror. I also did it a combination of black and stain and it looked like a dresser in a tuxedo. I did sell it. New subscriber!!

    To make it easy with cleaning u must hoover it first. Dry clean first. Use a brush, and a tooth brush in corners to fast clean, then the wet clean comes easy and fun. And use mineral spirit at the very end to wipe before sanding/painting.
    If u fancy that is 😉.

    When I first saw the title and a glimpse of your piece I thought 'No way, that looks like *a professional refurb'!* How you wove in your newbie tips while producing a high quality piece is an awesome juxtaposition : D The dresser/ credenza/ buffet (so many uses) is Gorgeous!!!       Yes! Not rushing sanding is a great way to avoid the sanding "swirl" marks.
