With Gorman being the constant in the equation for many of those years. And the drummer Downey who's other worldly great. Their great song writer and bassist laying down the foundation.
Imagine if we could go back. a big gang of us, to that gig. We'd rip the place up and then after the gig we'd go out on a 20 hour bender with Phil. Well, I would anyway.
Now listen to 'riding with angels' by Samson made around the same time. The Henry Rollins version of 'are you ready?' Sounds a bit more like it. Just the guitar lick.
Hiw in hell is Thin Lizzy not in the HOF of rock? There's not a heavy metal band that's had a better rotation of shredders come through the band. They're ripping the heart out of every solo. And nobody rocked harder or had a bigger sound.

They never had a bad guitarist. Bell, Moore, Robertson, Gorham, Sykes… all great players
Even when Midge Ure stepped in to help out, he did a decent job.
