I think the Kraton 4s is still better right, the brcc has still a lot of rollovers, i mean i did install the 15T to my 4s like you did and now it rips unbelievable 😍 95kph
HUGE props to ARRMA/Horizon for the new SLT3 controller 👍. 100% improvement over the STX2 😝. Responsive with far better ergonomics, trigger, and wheel. No lag or range issues thus far. 😎💪👊👊
The 3s platform has been brilliant for me. I don't have loads of money to spend on RC so it's great to have something that can take a beating and cheap to repair.

Congrats Brother 😱!!!! Absolutely LOVE mine 😍. Just a tip. Test drive in the front yard and see how you like the brake 👀. It was WAY too much for me personally. Comes stock at 62% and punch 3. I set my brake at 50% and max punch 5. Pretty sure 62% brake would've caused front rollovers with harder stops. Didn't touch the slipper 🤗👍👍😎💪👊👊

For sure Kevin 🤗. Such a fun, durable little Ripper 😍. So far no leakage, but the shafts are starting to bow slightly. I did however build up some 4mm Turnigy Trackstars I had laying around. WAY more tunable and dirt cheap for 7075. Using 6s ARRMA pistons and lighter Team Durango springs. Far better dampening than I'd ever get from the stock shocks. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Local Hoobytown was out of Big Rock so I got the Granite. It is very much fun and tough! Handles great too. The seasons would have changed before i got that many good clips!! Bahahaha! Great video bud! 👍👏💪😁

Hey Rich, hopefully you read comments on the older videos, if not I'll post this next time you do some BRCC vids. I just picked up a v3 BRCC from the local shop. It's box stock right now running a 6000mah 3s 100c. Getting back into the hobby, I'm totally satisfied with how it performs. That being said, what are some issues I could take care of that are weak points on these rigs? Are people stripping the plastic spurs a lot? I've heard about shock leaks as well, in addition to people having issues with the stock servo. Just don't want to drive all the way to a bash spot and have something stupid break 5 minutes into a bash and I'm screwed. Thanks!
Just an FYI, I try to respond to all questions, but miss tons of them 👀. I think it's a notification issue with RUclips. My recommendations haven't changed across the 3s line from earlier vids going back 2 years. I've only stripped 1 spur gear between 5 of these rigs during that period. Get the gear mesh right, don't run humongous tires, set the slipper 1/2-3/4 turns out from tight, and maintain the slipper and rear input gear bearings. If you keep these rigs smooth and maintained, they do AWESOME 😍. I usually put 6s stock ARRMA servos in mine (spares) but haven't had any issues with my V3 Big Rock stocker. The new models have Silicone O rings in the shocks that perform much better. I prefer 4mm 1/8 threaded body shocks myself. Only weak spot on these trucks is the front steering blocks. 4$ part. I love how agile the Big Rock is, even with it's slightly longer wheelbase. I've converted mine to 17mm Hex like your other one, so a few more wheel options. Nice run, that Skate Park is pretty impressive!

Yes, it truly is! #ARRMA done great with this 1! Great video. My only negatives I have found are the body clips are just really hard to get in and out. I broke 3 of the rubber retainers within 2 runs. The speed bearing isn't sealed but not a real big deal. Maybe it's that way because it has to be. A lot of gravel and dirt will find it's way in the truck but when you run on that terrain, it's expected! It's an AMAZING truck! I love it. Great video. You really show how great the truck is. And THANK YOU MITCH +#M2C for deciding to make upgrades for this platform! That's awesome.
Man i don't know how your Big rock took all that with the stock parts , i took mine out and within the first 10 min my motor mount bent after a few backflips onto concrete .... but just bought the M2C stuff and hopefully that issue will be gone , Love your vids keep em coming

Beast Big rock very very aggressive 🤘💪😎 Nice teast Rich as always, at the skatepark it behaves really well, it must be a lot of fun to ride it. I was amazed at the tightness of the shock absorbers, which in previous versions left a lot to be desired, here, on the other hand, it seemed to me that they held up better, after all those jumps. Man you are a park king dude. You must have skated before. I’m seeing so many thing that we used to do skating from the carve 50-50’s to the frontside rock and roll the 50-50 corner grinds to the big pops off the hips etc. The list goes on. I love the air flip to fakie I just got an arrma granite blx 3s but up here in Canada it didn’t show up till the end of October right when the big rock came out and I had to say that I was almost thinking about waiting a bit longer and getting it? But had been waiting just over a month for granite and may have ended up waiting another month. It was your video on the new granite that had me sold it was the first vid of you that I saw you carving up the park etc. I’ve become a big fan wish I could ride with you and pick up a few tips.

I got one of these after seeing them in some of ur vids there little beast, only thing I've been having issues with is the drive shafts coming apart, and have pulled out a couple shock rods from the bottom
Yeah their great little trucks. I did upgrade my shocks to adjustable, threaded aluminum bodied 4mm ones. I'm still running stock driveshafts with the slipper 1/2 turn out from tight. They're holding up even on 4s. 🍻😎💪👊👊
Rick! big props to you man you have raised the bar on Bashing Standards👍 lol om so with being said id like to tap into your wealth of r/c knowledge. im running the hobbywing max 6 on my v3 kraton for couple months and all a sudden the on/off switch blinks blue when I attempted to power up the esc. no power the esc or the reciever. the esc doesn't have any LED lights on or flashing & it doesn't emit the beeps when i try to power it up. and the reciever doesn't have any LED light on or flashing either. it literally does nothing except the on/off button flashed blue non-stop. I know you don't work for hobbywing and all but I have googled it many times and looked it up on you tube and I cant find any info about the switch on the max 6 flashing blue when powered on. the esc was mounted with double sided tape & 3 zip ties so it was pretty well mounted firm. running out of options so I thought I would pick the brain of the r/c bashing GOD 😉 and see what info he may hand on the max 6 esc with the on/ off switch flashing blue along with zero power to anything no led flashing on the esc or reciever & no beeping sounds. just blue light flashing on on/off switch. Thank you Rich for taking time out of your day to read & hopefully respond back. Thank you brother....
I think I've heard of this before, but don't recall the possible causes 🤔. I'd download the Max6 PDF manual online and look over the troubleshooting at the back. Anytime I have issues, I go straight to the manual. If all your connections are good, try recalibrating the ESC to the controller per the manual. Might be worth trying a different reciever too. I'll get back to you soon if I think of something specific to this. 😎💪👊👊
yeah i downloaded the manual plus I have the one that came with the esc originally.. tried 3 different revievers from working r/c's and nothing. and i can't reset the esc or the throttle, reverse & neutral end points cuz there isn't power to the receiver. there isn't power past the on/off switch itself.🤔 so yeah thats where I'm at.... thank you for responding i havent found anyone with info on this problem of on/off switch blinking blue on a max 6 esc.
Thanks Frank 🤗. Yeah the rear of my Granite body has taken a pummeling between the jump parks and vert 😱🤣🤣. I reinforced the tailgate with blobs of industrial hot glue and the rest with Gorilla tape hit with the heat gun. She's still hanging in there. 😎💪👊👊

Can you link to more info on the chassis slot trick? I’m not following what was done there. Why the pinion change straight away? I assume that gives more top speed at the expense of acceleration? Any more details you can provide would be helpful!!
I swapped from 15 to 18T for better speed and wheelspin in the air for flips. The chassis slot involves drilling a hole big enough to fit a Dremel bit into and just grinding out a slot. The tool does all the work. Doesn't have to be perfect, just big enough to expose the spur gear creating an exit for dirt and dust to escape. Measure down about 5/8" from the rear skid plate line, mark and drill. There's a post about this on the ARRMA 3&4's Facebook Forum. Just look under the search function. @@craigandresen2456 these slipper boxes are complete dirt magnets. With no where to go, it grinds into an ultra fine dust that literally kills the bearings and wears out the plastic slipper gear. This was the biggest problem with this truck until Larry came up with this mod. Problem solved 🤗

ARRMA nailed it with this updated BRCC 😱🥰🥰. The Typhon is my favorite Ripper, but this guy is more versatile with the taller ride 🤔. It's giving my Granite a challenge for top rig at the skateparks. Just needs more dampening with heavier oil. Definitely way better for getting the power down 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊
Hah seeing this sunny weather makes me jealous, my senton been sitting for 5 days now waiting for some sunshine and no rain. So they upgraded the stock plastic shocks? Any chance you do a quickie and show what’s changed. My older sets leak oil like crazy, maybe i could patch them up with new rebuild kit.

Out of the new Arrma 3s BLX V3 range Big Rock, Typhon, Senton & Granite. What would be the best choice for running on fast fairly flattish grass areas with no jumps. Just general having a blast around.
I would have to say the BRCC. The others can do it just fine, but the bigger wheels handle grass much better than buggy or SCT setups. The Granite can get it done too. 🍻😎💪👊👊

@@stuartmoes990 I'm running an 18T mod 0.8 Robinson Racing with my 3050kv 3670 Hobbystar. It hauls ass with good temps. Just remember to upgrade to a BLX120 or other 120+ amp ESC should you decide to run 4s. The Spectrum 100A ESC won't recognize 4s. 🍻

do you think your gonna get your hands on one of the new v5 kraton 6s there pretty sick and beleive the fixed the chassis its the same material but its machnied defintertly and its wider and has ridges so it think its gonna be sweet you should really get one though i know you like kratons as well its also only 550 instead of 600 there is alot more improvements thats just the one everyone is talking about
Well I already have 4 Kraton's between my V3, V4, EXB, and K8s 😱. All are pretty heavily upgraded at this point with M2C Racing 💪. Props to ARRMA for the innovation and updates. Still can't beat a custom built rig though. 🍻😎💪👊👊

You can get the power down and drift WAY easier and still stunt the crap out of the Kraton. Absolutely love the handling of mine 😍. Especially with lighter original Badlands 3.8's. My son is 8, and he has a brushless Xinlehong Q903 on 3s with a 15t pinion. He is getting pretty good with throttle control in the air and also very good at controlling wheelies when rolling into the throttle. Do you think this would be a good second rc for him?
😱😱 Amazing first bash Rich! How are the stock shocks holding up? I have not been real happy with my Trackstar shocks on my BRCC. They are just too long and make the tires go toe out when in the air because there is no droop adjustment. I'm so impressed with your skate park skills 👌👍 Just incredible control man!
Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜. The stock fronts need heavier oils for better dampening, but no leaking or bendage 👍. You can slip some fuel tubing on the Trackstar shafts up under the pistons to set your ride height. I run ARRMA 6s pistons and Team Durango lighter buggy springs on mine and they perform excellent 👌. Wondering if we have the same size though 🤔. Super impressed with this Black beauty Bro!!!! 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

Congrats Brother 😱!!!! Absolutely LOVE mine 😍. Just a tip. Test drive in the front yard and see how you like the brake 👀. It was WAY too much for me personally. Comes stock at 62% and punch 3. I set my brake at 50% and max punch 5. Pretty sure 62% brake would've caused front rollovers with harder stops. Didn't touch the slipper 🤗👍👍😎💪👊👊

For sure Kevin 🤗. Such a fun, durable little Ripper 😍. So far no leakage, but the shafts are starting to bow slightly. I did however build up some 4mm Turnigy Trackstars I had laying around. WAY more tunable and dirt cheap for 7075. Using 6s ARRMA pistons and lighter Team Durango springs. Far better dampening than I'd ever get from the stock shocks. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Hey Rich, hopefully you read comments on the older videos, if not I'll post this next time you do some BRCC vids.
I just picked up a v3 BRCC from the local shop. It's box stock right now running a 6000mah 3s 100c. Getting back into the hobby, I'm totally satisfied with how it performs. That being said, what are some issues I could take care of that are weak points on these rigs? Are people stripping the plastic spurs a lot? I've heard about shock leaks as well, in addition to people having issues with the stock servo. Just don't want to drive all the way to a bash spot and have something stupid break 5 minutes into a bash and I'm screwed. Thanks!
Just an FYI, I try to respond to all questions, but miss tons of them 👀. I think it's a notification issue with RUclips. My recommendations haven't changed across the 3s line from earlier vids going back 2 years. I've only stripped 1 spur gear between 5 of these rigs during that period. Get the gear mesh right, don't run humongous tires, set the slipper 1/2-3/4 turns out from tight, and maintain the slipper and rear input gear bearings. If you keep these rigs smooth and maintained, they do AWESOME 😍. I usually put 6s stock ARRMA servos in mine (spares) but haven't had any issues with my V3 Big Rock stocker. The new models have Silicone O rings in the shocks that perform much better. I prefer 4mm 1/8 threaded body shocks myself. Only weak spot on these trucks is the front steering blocks. 4$ part. I love how agile the Big Rock is, even with it's slightly longer wheelbase. I've converted mine to 17mm Hex like your other one, so a few more wheel options. Nice run, that Skate Park is pretty impressive!

Yes, it truly is! #ARRMA done great with this 1! Great video. My only negatives I have found are the body clips are just really hard to get in and out. I broke 3 of the rubber retainers within 2 runs. The speed bearing isn't sealed but not a real big deal. Maybe it's that way because it has to be. A lot of gravel and dirt will find it's way in the truck but when you run on that terrain, it's expected! It's an AMAZING truck! I love it. Great video. You really show how great the truck is. And THANK YOU MITCH +#M2C for deciding to make upgrades for this platform! That's awesome.
Man i don't know how your Big rock took all that with the stock parts , i took mine out and within the first 10 min my motor mount bent after a few backflips onto concrete .... but just bought the M2C stuff and hopefully that issue will be gone , Love your vids keep em coming

I was amazed at the tightness of the shock absorbers, which in previous versions left a lot to be desired, here, on the other hand, it seemed to me that they held up better, after all those jumps.

Man you are a park king dude. You must have skated before. I’m seeing so many thing that we used to do skating from the carve 50-50’s to the frontside rock and roll the 50-50 corner grinds to the big pops off the hips etc. The list goes on. I love the air flip to fakie I just got an arrma granite blx 3s but up here in Canada it didn’t show up till the end of October right when the big rock came out and I had to say that I was almost thinking about waiting a bit longer and getting it? But had been waiting just over a month for granite and may have ended up waiting another month. It was your video on the new granite that had me sold it was the first vid of you that I saw you carving up the park etc. I’ve become a big fan wish I could ride with you and pick up a few tips.

I got one of these after seeing them in some of ur vids there little beast, only thing I've been having issues with is the drive shafts coming apart, and have pulled out a couple shock rods from the bottom
Yeah their great little trucks. I did upgrade my shocks to adjustable, threaded aluminum bodied 4mm ones. I'm still running stock driveshafts with the slipper 1/2 turn out from tight. They're holding up even on 4s. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Rick! big props to you man you have raised the bar on Bashing Standards👍 lol om so with being said id like to tap into your wealth of r/c knowledge. im running the hobbywing max 6 on my v3 kraton for couple months and all a sudden the on/off switch blinks blue when I attempted to power up the esc. no power the esc or the reciever. the esc doesn't have any LED lights on or flashing & it doesn't emit the beeps when i try to power it up. and the reciever doesn't have any LED light on or flashing either. it literally does nothing except the on/off button flashed blue non-stop. I know you don't work for hobbywing and all but I have googled it many times and looked it up on you tube and I cant find any info about the switch on the max 6 flashing blue when powered on. the esc was mounted with double sided tape & 3 zip ties so it was pretty well mounted firm. running out of options so I thought I would pick the brain of the r/c bashing GOD 😉 and see what info he may hand on the max 6 esc with the on/ off switch flashing blue along with zero power to anything no led flashing on the esc or reciever & no beeping sounds. just blue light flashing on on/off switch. Thank you Rich for taking time out of your day to read & hopefully respond back.

I think I've heard of this before, but don't recall the possible causes 🤔. I'd download the Max6 PDF manual online and look over the troubleshooting at the back. Anytime I have issues, I go straight to the manual. If all your connections are good, try recalibrating the ESC to the controller per the manual. Might be worth trying a different reciever too. I'll get back to you soon if I think of something specific to this. 😎💪👊👊
yeah i downloaded the manual plus I have the one that came with the esc originally.. tried 3 different revievers from working r/c's and nothing. and i can't reset the esc or the throttle, reverse & neutral end points cuz there isn't power to the receiver. there isn't power past the on/off switch itself.🤔 so yeah thats where I'm at....

Thanks Frank 🤗. Yeah the rear of my Granite body has taken a pummeling between the jump parks and vert 😱🤣🤣. I reinforced the tailgate with blobs of industrial hot glue and the rest with Gorilla tape hit with the heat gun. She's still hanging in there. 😎💪👊👊

Can you link to more info on the chassis slot trick? I’m not following what was done there.
Why the pinion change straight away? I assume that gives more top speed at the expense of acceleration? Any more details you can provide would be helpful!!
I swapped from 15 to 18T for better speed and wheelspin in the air for flips. The chassis slot involves drilling a hole big enough to fit a Dremel bit into and just grinding out a slot. The tool does all the work. Doesn't have to be perfect, just big enough to expose the spur gear creating an exit for dirt and dust to escape. Measure down about 5/8" from the rear skid plate line, mark and drill. There's a post about this on the ARRMA 3&4's Facebook Forum. Just look under the search function. @@richduperbash2966 thanks for the link. That’s a good explanation there! It seems counterintuitive to cut an opening there as I’m sure some grit and water makes its way in there as well, right? But the theory is it’s better to have an exit than introduce a little bit more I guess?
@@craigandresen2456 these slipper boxes are complete dirt magnets. With no where to go, it grinds into an ultra fine dust that literally kills the bearings and wears out the plastic slipper gear. This was the biggest problem with this truck until Larry came up with this mod. Problem solved 🤗

ARRMA nailed it with this updated BRCC 😱🥰🥰. The Typhon is my favorite Ripper, but this guy is more versatile with the taller ride 🤔. It's giving my Granite a challenge for top rig at the skateparks. Just needs more dampening with heavier oil. Definitely way better for getting the power down 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊

Hah seeing this sunny weather makes me jealous, my senton been sitting for 5 days now waiting for some sunshine and no rain. So they upgraded the stock plastic shocks? Any chance you do a quickie and show what’s changed. My older sets leak oil like crazy, maybe i could patch them up with new rebuild kit.

Out of the new Arrma 3s BLX V3 range Big Rock, Typhon, Senton & Granite. What would be the best choice for running on fast fairly flattish grass areas with no jumps. Just general having a blast around.
I would have to say the BRCC. The others can do it just fine, but the bigger wheels handle grass much better than buggy or SCT setups. The Granite can get it done too. 🍻😎💪👊👊

@@stuartmoes990 I'm running an 18T mod 0.8 Robinson Racing with my 3050kv 3670 Hobbystar. It hauls ass with good temps. Just remember to upgrade to a BLX120 or other 120+ amp ESC should you decide to run 4s. The Spectrum 100A ESC won't recognize 4s. 🍻

I'll probably upgrade the shocks and steering blocks like all the other 3s rigs I have 🤔. I'm more than happy with my current Senton 4s build 😍. I'm hoping to test a prototype M2C 7075 motor mount and other hop ups soon. These rigs are most durable and perform best when kept light, but can benefit from atleast a few quality options. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Well I already have 4 Kraton's between my V3, V4, EXB, and K8s 😱. All are pretty heavily upgraded at this point with M2C Racing 💪. Props to ARRMA for the innovation and updates. Still can't beat a custom built rig though. 🍻😎💪👊👊

You can get the power down and drift WAY easier and still stunt the crap out of the Kraton. Absolutely love the handling of mine 😍. Especially with lighter original Badlands 3.8's. My son is 8, and he has a brushless Xinlehong Q903 on 3s with a 15t pinion. He is getting pretty good with throttle control in the air and also very good at controlling wheelies when rolling into the throttle. Do you think this would be a good second rc for him?

😱😱 Amazing first bash Rich! How are the stock shocks holding up? I have not been real happy with my Trackstar shocks on my BRCC. They are just too long and make the tires go toe out when in the air because there is no droop adjustment. I'm so impressed with your skate park skills 👌👍 Just incredible control man!
Thanks so much Brother Aaron 😜. The stock fronts need heavier oils for better dampening, but no leaking or bendage 👍. You can slip some fuel tubing on the Trackstar shafts up under the pistons to set your ride height. I run ARRMA 6s pistons and Team Durango lighter buggy springs on mine and they perform excellent 👌. Wondering if we have the same size though 🤔. Super impressed with this Black beauty Bro!!!! 🍻👍👍😎💪👊👊
