      @@user-uy3ti3nj5u Number 1 it is £799 not £1000. Secondly no £100 intake does what this one does. So you're wrong on both accounts. Other companies don't do this and share logs as the logs prove the intake is working: IAT's are lower and the ECU is seeing more airflow.

      Bitter? Do you not understand the reasons for a cold air intake versus a hot intake? When you pull air from the HOT engine bay instead of in front of the car as BMW engineers do there is a small but significant penalty in performance...advertisement is clearly bogus. Go ahead if you like the appearance and purchase this garbage, I know better, my M3 will remain stock in this respect, the factory intake is designed very well, it even keeps cool air flowing *through the air box* when off the throttle so it won't warm as much, difficult to improve on but easy to make worse. • @EvolveAutomotive
      @EvolveAutomotive  4 года назад +1

      There’s no loss of reliability.
      BMW have many more factors to consider, such as NVH. The stock design will be partially designed to keep noise levels down. It also needs to be easy to mass produce in large numbers.
      An aftermarket manufacturer who wants that noise and is manufacturing on a much smaller scale and at a higher cost can make changes that BMW chose not to for whatever reason.
      When designing a car they have a set performance point, the stock system was adequate for that goal.
