Nice! Intake is next on my list, same deal purely doing it for sound. Torn if to get a full intake system or just swap to a better filter, from what i'm reading same sound upgrade. Try a tune next, i'm leaning towards the alpine tune a bunch of people have gotten on Bimmerpost, seems reasonably priced and pretty legit. Enjoyin the content brother keep it up

Although it has been debated over and over again on the forums, there seems to be no consensus on how much louder the Afe intake sounds versus the OEM intake.
If you'd have to name a percentage, how much louder is the Afe intake elbow over the OEM intake? And is the carbon fibre one worth the $500?

I just bought a 2011 m3 so I will be following your channel. doing rod bearings right now and then the fun will start. Exhaust and intake first. Do you have any other engine mods or should I just leave the rest stock?
I left mine mostly stock. To really get power out of these you need to supercharge and it gets very expensive. I think these are great as is, they are such well balanced handling cars that sound good

The record for the most blown s65 engines. 😂 In all seriousness though, I’ve done my research, and everyone that I’ve spoken to with the builds that I respect have advised me to stay away from gintani. There’s also a plethora of people on the forums advising against gintani. The fastest and most horsepower tune isn’t always the best. Your goal should be power while maintaining a certain level of reliability. That’s my take ✅
Thic F30 I mean to be fair I was a BMW tech and I’ve done my research as well and I didn’t see anything to do with blown S65’s but in all fairness you are an actual owner of an S65 car so the information is definitely different whenever you’re actually a part of the topic. I only said Gintani because I didn’t even know RK tunes S65’s 😂 but hell yea man. Super excited for what’s next!
