- Sattu Buttermylk is the vegan version of the popular Indian drink which has cooling properties, protein, good carbs, iron, magnesium and calcium.
Ingredients:
You will need
2 tablespoons plant-based curd
1 tablespoon Sattu powder
1/2 teaspoon black salt
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Handful of mint leaves
Handful of coriander leaves
Handful of curry leaves
1 green chili, deseeded
Water
Instructions:
Step 1. Add 2 tablespoons of plant-based curd, Sattu powder, black salt, lemon juice, mint leaves, coriander leaves, curry leaves, and a deseeded green chili to a blender.
Step 2. Blend everything together until you get a smooth and frothy mixture.
Step 3. If the mixture is too thick, you can add some water to adjust the consistency.
Step 4. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if necessary.
Once the mixture is well blended, pour it into a glass and garnish with some mint leaves.
Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Pro tip: If you can't find Sattu powder, don't worry, you can substitute it with pea protein powder or any other vegan protein powder of your choice.
