I really, really REALLY, would a love a full Narative campaign about Fritz running from the Ogors, with a model and full rules for him. Every time he loses, the Ogors get a bonus based on the previous mission for the next mission, and each mission gets rules based on his current endeavour (cafe, fair, shop etc). Will Fritz escape and become rich with a powerful patron? Or will Fritz unintentionally create create the most powerful herd of Ogors the realms have ever seen and they will FINALLY get his autograph and a selfie with the man they are huge fans of! It'd be so fun to watch!
Hahaha, my thoughts on the intro story - Start of the intro story: "I do not care". Half way through the intro story "This is way too long...". End of the intro story "Ok, that was funny, I could read a book about that, hahaha, thanks for the laugh".
As someone from 40k who has never played AoS, and never really watched your fantasy/AoS battle reports, I'm loving the Ogors. I think it's because they're simple enough that I can always pretty much figure out what they're doing. They're the sole reason I'm binging your videos. GJ Guys, keep it up.
I love seeing legions, I was just thinking about it yesterday, infact, I rewatched a battle report with this exact army! But I havent seen Nagash in play forever! Play him please! I know he is pretty bad but still!
I always love the scenarios with like, 50 or so units on the board, a huge hoard of the bastards, and then like, 12 of the other dudes units come in and crush every last one of them in a clean sweep, it's just cathartic lmao
loved that you played to turn 5, its as much about rolling dice and showing your having fun as the pure scoring in the game, also loved seeing skellies on the table again, well done guys and thank you.
They are a really strong army for games outside of the top tier of play that do an excellent job of showcasing the importance of AoS fundamentals. I really like seeing Gutbusters in battle reports because they are just super simple and easy to understand, though an unforgiving army to play if you make a mistake. Playing Ogors really drills into you the idea that there is no such thing as a free lunch.
I do have some suggested changes to the Ogor list. 1) Take fewer wizards. One Slaughtermaster as your general is good, 1 Butcher is good, potentially 1 Firebelly for the -1 to hit aura spell, but be sure to take a Tyrant. 2) Give the tyrant the relic cleaver that heals, put it on his thunder mace, and run him with your Iron Guts. 3) Keep in mind that blocks of 6 ogres with ironfists are excellent roadblocks and objective holders, and decently punchy, but blocks of 12 with double clubs are offensively much more of a rampaging train, a good pick for the Tyrant's command ability turn 1, and get a tasty discount. It may be worth dropping the Ironguts to 8 to free up some points. Those are all general Ogor tips for running this sort of army. I personally like all 3 of the non BC tribes, so it's cool to see you trying them out.
22:10 As a result of the battalion, yes, you get +1 to casting. But one of the traits for LoS is that you get a +1 to casting. So instead of a 9, this should be a 10
That was fun. Definitely should have put a lot more attacks into Arkhan when you first reached him; he's the pillar of the whole force. That was the biggest mistake by far on the Ogor side.
Josh plays so many of the armies I love to play or want to, and it's so great to live vicariously through Josh while I can't get as much gaming in. I can't wait to get a start on my Ogres one of these days.
I see your point Josh about people not minding that you play the mawtribes a lot; I really love the Mawtribes, i used to play Cities (dwarves) and Stormcasts, but Ogors are just so much fun! since i built them as my new AoS army I really don't care if i win, i always have a great game! It's just such a great feeling watching a horde of Ironguts or Gluttons jogging across the board and seeing my opponent calculate madly how to stop them! :D
entertaining game even if the scoring got one sided. I would suggest NOT running the Barak Zilfin KO list... unless you are playing someone with a similarly top tier list (and OBR is not one right now...) KO Barak Ziflin is just about the best list in the game right now. It leads to literally turn one/two games with next to zero chance for the other side. Also, Josh I dont know who the hell says you dont like AoS, Luka and Josh AoS batreps are the best on this channel. The more you guys make the happier I'll be. High Fives for Josh (and Luka).
did not see that ending after watching the beginning that's for sure! That big chonky unit of ironguts is just so dangerous and tough XD At our local club we just have any dice that isn't flat is cocked to avoid arguments cause you sometimes get people with... shifting ideas depending on whether the roll was good for them or not.
This is exactly how I feel when I play my Legions. I play a fun themey list with endless ranks of minions, thick stacks of grave guard etc... And they get wiped out by literally anything that touches them and I get bowled over every time. And I don't even use a Mortarch lol.. The game has come a long way, and we need some love man.
Oh my dude!!! So happy to see Legions they are my bone bois and they never receive enough love! I always forget about "The Masters Teachings" as well. You might have been able to use it with the ogres you killed with your graveguard to bring back some direwolves for free depending on the measurements. If you play anymore games with Legions then I would for sure recommend not overextending your gravesites into the other player's territory where you'll never be able to make use of them. Best to keep them closer to your own side of the table so you can overlap the heals and have more options for resurrections. As skeletons are super slow I found it better to keep the unit of 40 in the grave and then on your first turn move up and summon them up the board so they can get into action asap. It also protects them from being shot or charged if you take the 2nd turn.
so much agree!! so much so that I even built a custom vampire lord for this army specifically so that she could fly fwd and do exactly that. Grave guard are also not a bad idea for the throw fwd from a graveguard and are often easier to fit on the board. damn I'm gonna miss this army!
@@bingohomeslice5158 haha! I did exactly the same thing and built a custom flying vampire lord! A squad of 30 grave guard is my absolute favourite they will decimate anything! @@MechanicalGibbon black knights are monsters against chaff though... on the charge... with van hel's dance AAAAAANNNNDDDD the +1 attacks from the wight king or vamp lord... and that's the issue they are kinda good in a very specific situation that is not easy to pull off past turn 1 :( I still love them though :D . If I saw 30 graveguard coming out of the grave 9 inches off my line in turn 1, knowing my opponent will just resummon them as soon as I they die, it's definitely brown trousers time!!
bloodgullet is my most used ogor tribe i use it with a full BCR list. Makes them so tanky with the frost lord healing, mawpot and thundertusks healing with prayers

Good match up. Have a rules question, Josh picked the same spell lores for each of his butchers. I was under the impression that you can only give each wizard one spell lore (or two because of the tribe/faction in this case), but I thought that they would all still need to take different lores. Have I been playing this wrong?
I've often wondered when to resurrect your units with LoN. The ability does not state it and i haven't found an FAQ either. For all i know it could be used at any point in time (say in the hero phase so they can receive buffs, or during the movement phase so they can still move before charging like normal)... Is there anything official?
In errata they changed it into end of movement so U can still try to make 9" charge. When the book came out, U were resurrecting them in Ur hero faze... Which was good to say the least.
"So many models to move around" ..... (Laughs in 10,000 points of skaven edition 1 and 2 of warhammer) Oh, those were the days of moving around hundreds of pewter skaven models.
I love Fritz and the narratives made up around him. :) Thanks for that! This was a slight feel-bad BatRep for me. I know it wasn't a tailored list, but the ability of the Death army to mitigate so much of the magical potential of the Ogor army kinda made it feel that way. And Death's ability to just bring back full units for 1 CP is crazy. All other armies get nerfs to summoning, but Death gets to keep their powerful rules. Just a personal opinion of course! I will say that I like that you switch up the Ogor lists, which makes them feel less stale than they might. I am a little biased as I play Ogors, but there is enough variance among the BatReps that I still enjoy it. And it is so much more fun to watch than the Overlord BatReps for me. Overall it was fun, but Legions still seem too powerful to me. Thanks guys!
Did we watch the same report? Legions got crushed, how is that powerful? Maybe if this was a game where only kill points matter, but its not, its AoS and objectives games.
@@kreyta1260 I know what happened in the battle, but some of that was due to Luka making some tactical errors as he mentioned in the chat afterward. And some of my comments were leveled at the army rules in general, not regarding this specific battle.
I agree. Why not roll for individual models coming back instead of just resurrecting whole units? Or make it a magic spell?
