I went from BMPCC4K to Sony ZV-1 to GoPro HERO10 to DJI Osmo Pocket 3.... and now I'm contemplating about switching to GoPro HERO13..... I can't seem to find the perfect vlog camera for me. The DJI Osmo Pocket 3 is amazing, I love the quality, face track, pocket size and battery life, but I do travel vlogs and it sucks to not being able to vlog because of a little rain outside. And also I'm afraid to break the motor of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 by putting it in my pocket without attaching it to the case all the time. My experience with GoPro was way better on this part, I could just put the GoPro naked in my pocket and pull it straight out of my pocket to shoot. But bro İ have question . Do you see any overheating problem on go pro 13 and dji osmo action 5 pro ? At 4 k 60 fps How much time will it take to overheat? İ am using dji osmo pocket 3 İ dont have any problem
So tough - I have the Hero 13 and the image is just excellent with the colors and the way it renders the atmosphere to make things feel more filmic. In daylight, The 5K res with LOG is nothing to laugh at either - compared to the new Action 5, the artifacting that you get with lower bitrates is completely night and day compared to the gopro with higher res and imo, better LOG, especially in motion within high detail environments. Although, when you start getting into those low light environments from a brightly lit spot, the Gopro really just tanks in image quality, unless you use a light. The pocket's benefits for me are the AI gimbal tracking, the bigger sensor capturing more light, and really captures a better image video image. At this point I would just get both lol
ahahahha I love your conclusion man! How do you edit the log do you use the GoPro adjustment LUT? GoPro 13 is great but somehow I take the action 5 with me on trips (probably because of size) sorry for replying so late, I am ashamed at myself but not sure how I missed your comment.
MAN! i'm sorry but I will make it even harder ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html because this is really the best combo not the GoPro13 unfortunately
Hey man sorry for the late reply. If you vlog, probably nothing beats the pocket 3 the creative combo i think it is called (comes with the mic 2) it just works so well for vlogging man, (just not in the rain)
hey hey, so what I did is the following. DJI pocket 3 - shot everything in D-log M / color corrected with the dji official lut / Sharpness -1 GoPro Hero 3 Black - shot in Natural / 10 bit / high bitrate /Hypersmooth Auto boost or boost / Sharpness medium / Mostly in 5.3k 30fps Linear with HL The rest of the settings in auto. Now for the rainy part of the video I color graded A BIT both cameras (+ saturation, contrast/shadows - was a manual thing in final cu pro and and I am not a specialist so don't consider this a lut or something) When it was sunny (second part of the video) used HDR all the time on GoPro 13 but almost NO color grade. I forgot the HDR on for the gopro at the start of the video and medium noise reduction and I would not recommend that setup when the scene has no light. So quick answer is, I had to color grade a bit the rainy part because it was too sad 🌞 looking Did that answer your question?
I expected to make the switch to the OA5 this year - but GoPro's image is still better. GoPro's limitations are so frustrating though! Their accessories are extorionate too.. ugh.
I think for overall balance DJI pocket 3 is good. But mostly I will vlog during daytime and with plenty of sunlight, go pro is the best and the colors is really vivid on that one.
yup, answered on the other video. In sunlight I think the GoPro was just more friendly. And tbh much easier to handle. For me the pocket is great as a package with microphone etc. and the depth of field.
Hey I don't Really Know Should I get a Gopro hero 13 creator edition or Dji osmo Pocket 3 creator combo? I like the good quality on gopro but the dji stabilization Feature Is Quite cool. What do you think I should get?
@@VictorReviewsGarage I don't Really Vlog But sometimes I do Video or photo of Nature and Outside stuff. Similar to photography/videographer Maybe even the zoo
@@TheAndroidGamer367 nice! Have you ruled out the iphone completely? The zoom lens is great in nature. See what I mean here: ruclips.net/video/D8AT7uh200c/видео.htmlsi=NTL_Zh5U-7a_Wtbq Thing is with the pocket 3, even in small rain or even a lot of dust, the mechanic mechanism feel a bit more fragile. now, it depends on where you will do this. but if it's rain, forget the pocket 3. BTW Have you seen the Action 5 Pro?
First of all I appreciate the footage in the rain. Secondly, I wanted to buy a pocket 3 but was kind of undecided if it was worth buying an extra piece of gear since I already have iPhone 15 pro max. I have always liked GoPro images and colors but after seeing this video I am surprised how bad the pocket 3 images are compared to the GoPro. Pocket 3 looks digital and washed out, cold and colourless and flat. Even the famed low light capabilities are less than compared to this GoPro. What’s going on!!!! Which do you like better?
that's it man, I am so split between this. If I look on the video on a big screen (say laptop or tv) I would probably go for the pocket 3. When looking on the same video on phone I would go for the GoPro 13 Black. Indeed the GoPro 13 has warmer tones when I vlog with it when the sun was out and the pocket 3 is just dark (probably requires more editing). When it comes to inside shots (say coffee shop shot at the beging) I think the GoPro Hero 13 noise is to much compared to the pocket 3 (not visible watching on mobile) but then the pocket I could not use outside because of the rain. So in the end what do we do? we go back to the iphone? It is ready for all conditions (I also shot this on a 15 Pro Max)
pocket 3 basically only works on good weathers, that's it. Go pro gives you so many possibilities, under water, rainy, snowy, mount it on your body, etc
The Dji has a filmic look, with a bit of color grading you can get the look of hollywood movies. The Gopro has a "digital look" to it, the Pocket 3 has a more natural look. Of course all of this can be changed depending on the settings used :) I have 2 gopros but i'd switch for the Pocket 3, i might even do that soon, i really love the look. 😁
@@dreamingontwowheels9572 GoPro looks like doodoo poop in low light. So even if it can film in the rain, it won't look good because there isn't enough light. Pocket 3 can film in very low light. GoPro is a no in anything other than outdoors with bright sun.
@ericd1084 Who shoots action in very lowlight? Lol. Go pro is an action camera, not a blogging camera. Whereas pocket 3 being a blogging camera, it is fragile and doesn't work in any adverse environmental conditions
I don’t know. Except on youtube compression, i would always pick the dji pocket 3 . If i view the video on mobile yes gopro looks clearer but trust me the best footage is from pocket 3 maybe with a different color grade
That is the thing man, the GoPro Hero 13 is good in sunny situations, but the DJI pocket 3 is good in SOME low light. Did you see the video on mobile or desktop? I feel there is a difference. In the end I feel we still go back to the iPhone :(
Hey, question, where are you when you are recording? In the stands with the audience or do you want to place it somewhere on the field and film by itself? I would incline on the gopro 13 black. You need a wide lens but if it stands in the sun you will get overheating :(
@VictorReviewsGarage thanks for the reply victor, I would like to fix the camera on the fence of tennis court and record Mostly day time, sometimes at night with floodlights, I may also like to use it for behind the scenes videos 😁 But the primary use is match recording
Aaa then it’s clear, this is an action cam job. Outside in the shade you should get decent battery life and recording, you can also charge it with a new magnetic charger gopro has for continuous shooting but you need a big micro sd or you stream it to social or something. The pocket 3 is great and i shot 2h podcasts with it but it really does not like the elements like light rain, high wind etc. If you shoot in 5.3k on the gopro 13 it might overheat in the shade also, you have to have very very low processing like: No hypersmooth, 24fps, wide lens, maybe 4k, gps off etc. I also use the gopro as broll i set it and forget it but if you have a full day it def needs charging.
For what it’s worth i would also check out the dji action 5 pro ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html if you are shooting in 4k. (Price is lower, image quality great, battery is amazing)
I like the video but the device name on the bottom left of the screen are so friking tiny 👎🏼 Edit: and should be colored big font, so we can identify the device without looking directly at it. Example GoPro(big blue fonts) and Dji pocket 3 (white fonts) just saying, hope this helps Again thanks for the video I know is a lot of work as it is 😅
thank you man, I'll try to make them different. I got this feedback from another person especially because they could not notice the change. I am thinking maybe a coloured square. But you do find useful that I mention the cameras no? I felt I always wanted to know this when watching videos.
I actually started a bit with this in the iphone 16 Pro video, made Red and blue but it's not yet there ruclips.net/video/7AkpQd05NeI/видео.htmlsi=nixOi5ubTt0HBWf5
hey hey, it's on the roadmap but I am holding off because there is something PRO coming from DJI actually today on the 19th. It is rumoured to blow gopro out of the water. That I would love to test
Gopro 13 low light capabilities isn't worth the money i feel. Since if u get a camera u shud be able to use it for every situation and 4k is good enough with a 1 inch sensor
fully agree. Basically when I compared it to the Action 5 Pro this was the conclusion: ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.htmlsi=IUTM6RhanxsuvOed It's rare you will need 5.3k. you are so right.
The reality is that a 1 inch senser doesn't really offer much of an advantage in low light. It's not until you get to an APS-C sized sensor that its good enough.
Watching on a laptop with 4k on, watched on the phone as well s23 ultra on QHD display mode and 4k. I was looking to get Pocket 3 but here the Go Pro produced way better quality.
pfffff man, I don't even know how to explain this better because indeed on this video this is the general vibe. Outdoors sure it is mostly about style but indoors the pocket 3 is just another class in quality in my footage, maybe I should put the raws somewhere upload them. But it really depends what you are doing. look at other videos from my channel, i basically film with the pocket 3 in almost every episode because it is good :) I am not paid to promote it :D
Hey hey, 🙏 thanks a lot. Which one do you like more? Pocket 3 or the GoPro 13? It’s not the best thing I’ve done, I was really upset when the rain ruined all the plans for the shots, but tis what it is. Made the best of circumstances
Filmé en D-Log M de 10 bits y exporté en máxima calidad. ¡No estoy seguro de lo que quieres decir! Creo que el Pocket 3 es mejor por cierto. Espero que mi español haya sido bueno.
Very interesting. Gopro looks better in rainy weather but quickly falls apart when in low light or even looks digital like a cheap phone in sunlight. I used the Pocket 3 extensively in California and the colors have always been great even at night time. The settings I recommend is using white balance always in manual mode and also set it warmer than you normally would. I have mine at 5800K most of the time. Turn sharpening to -2 and noise reduction to -1. A ND filter helps a lot to improve image quality. In bright to medium daylight ND32 was for me the one I could leave on camera all the time. Also I enjoy having nice background separation as long as the main subject is close enough.
Thank you for the recommendations. I will give them a try. What do you edit in?(fcp/premiere?) Have you seen the Action 5 Pro? It looks quite close to the pocket 3 tbh ruclips.net/video/AfWqvFlcIQE/видео.htmlsi=i1HZQcJK3XZf2lS3 (sorry for replying so late man! silly months over here, got back on it a bit now)
It's actually interesting you say that. Is this for the entire video? or just a specific place? everybody seams to favour the gopro 13 in the comments but when I look at the footage on my laptop I would chose the pocket 3 almost every single time.
OMG why are you keep switching so fast ?????? You don't even want to give DJI to capture some moments as soon as showing DJI screen then quickly switch to GO PRO if you hater so much don't do comparison video just do Go PRO. What's wrong with you ??

I'm looking at the comments favouring the GoPro 13 but I would almost for sure pick the pocket 3 almost every time. Not sure what's up.
@@VictorReviewsGarage mobile I think I do mostly that.
You jave done a great job, İ appreciate it. But İ think dji osmo action 5 pro are better than them what do you think? İ want to buy dji osmo action 5 pro but İ cannot find its original headstrap
hey dude, thanks a lot. I agree. I think the Action 5 is better than the GoPro 13:
Here is where I compare them ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.htmlsi=FEPzHzBi5IVgMwQ-
additionally I compared the Action 5 with the Pocket 3 and results were mixed. see it here: ruclips.net/video/AfWqvFlcIQE/видео.htmlsi=DlDO71bgw6rrAY6W
Yeah bro İ watch all of them where can İ buy headstrapfor dji
@@ms1699 I would say, buy a GoPro strap because the bottom part that comes in the box with the action 5 pro is compatible with GoPro mounts
GoPro 13 is great but somehow I take the action 5 with me on trips (probably because of size)
sorry for replying so late, I am ashamed at myself but not sure how I missed your comment.
thank you, this is what I was looking for
Glad you liked it man, which one did you like the most? Pocket 3 or GoPro?
Great video Victor, truly! Right now I'm tinkering hard on which of those two to pick for my vlogging set. :D
MAN! i'm sorry but I will make it even harder ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html because this is really the best combo not the GoPro13 unfortunately
@@VictorReviewsGarage haha, yeah, I'm into the topic and right now I wonder between DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI Action 5 Pro. :D
Thanks man!
Hey man sorry for the late reply.
If you vlog, probably nothing beats the pocket 3 the creative combo i think it is called (comes with the mic 2) it just works so well for vlogging man, (just not in the rain)
@@VictorReviewsGarage thanks for response! Still tinkering on it.
hi. are both the go pro 13 and pocket 3 footage straight out of camera or did you do some color grading? thanks 😚
hey hey, so what I did is the following.
DJI pocket 3 - shot everything in D-log M / color corrected with the dji official lut / Sharpness -1
GoPro Hero 3 Black - shot in Natural / 10 bit / high bitrate /Hypersmooth Auto boost or boost / Sharpness medium / Mostly in 5.3k 30fps Linear with HL
The rest of the settings in auto.
Now for the rainy part of the video I color graded A BIT both cameras (+ saturation, contrast/shadows - was a manual thing in final cu pro and and I am not a specialist so don't consider this a lut or something)
When it was sunny (second part of the video) used HDR all the time on GoPro 13 but almost NO color grade.
I forgot the HDR on for the gopro at the start of the video and medium noise reduction and I would not recommend that setup when the scene has no light.
So quick answer is, I had to color grade a bit the rainy part because it was too sad 🌞 looking
Did that answer your question?
for your walking videos, I would NOT chose the gopro 13 😉🤗. Pocket 3 is the way to go
@@VictorReviewsGarage thanks for the info. i appreciate it. 😊
@@VictorReviewsGarage the color quality of the go pro 13 looks really nice.
Thank you for sharing the video, which one is the best, I know English a little bit, so can you finally recomment which is the best, thank you
Depends on what you do. Best camera Pocket 3!
If you do sports Gopro 13
@@VictorReviewsGarage thank you so much!
I expected to make the switch to the OA5 this year - but GoPro's image is still better. GoPro's limitations are so frustrating though! Their accessories are extorionate too.. ugh.
Oa 5 pro is probably the best camera in existence right now, just saw it. Will you buy it?
Also i still stick with the pocket 3. It is a better camera experience but gopro13 is more dynamic
What are you filming? That’s how you decide. I generally go for pocket 3 but depends on what you want to film? I mean vlog/travel/mountain bike ?
@@VictorReviewsGarage I don't Really Vlog But sometimes I do Video or photo of Nature and Outside stuff. Similar to photography/videographer Maybe even the zoo
@@TheAndroidGamer367 nice! Have you ruled out the iphone completely? The zoom lens is great in nature.
See what I mean here: ruclips.net/video/D8AT7uh200c/видео.htmlsi=NTL_Zh5U-7a_Wtbq
Thing is with the pocket 3, even in small rain or even a lot of dust, the mechanic mechanism feel a bit more fragile. now, it depends on where you will do this. but if it's rain, forget the pocket 3.
BTW Have you seen the Action 5 Pro?
@@VictorReviewsGarage Oh dang a little nature can ruin an expensive camera does the Gopro do well in these conditions?
@@VictorReviewsGarage Oh dang a little nature can ruin an expensive camera does the Gopro do well in these conditions?
Of course all of this can be changed depending on the settings used :)
I have 2 gopros but i'd switch for the Pocket 3, i might even do that soon, i really love the look.
Like the overall image from the GoPro.
I don’t know. Except on youtube compression, i would always pick the dji pocket 3 . If i view the video on mobile yes gopro looks clearer but trust me the best footage is from pocket 3 maybe with a different color grade
here it is compared to the DJI Action 5 Pro if you are interested ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html
Top top! 4:29 this scene here I would say iphone wins dor sure. Gopro 13 does have a bit more noise and pocket is very very upset with the shadows. 🔥
That is the thing man, the GoPro Hero 13 is good in sunny situations, but the DJI pocket 3 is good in SOME low light. Did you see the video on mobile or desktop? I feel there is a difference.
In the end I feel we still go back to the iPhone :(
Wow. I might get the GoPro 13, I like it
The pocket 3 rocks, it really depends on what you want to do with them :D
HI, Victor, nice video. thank you for sharing... which one do you think will be better for recording a tennis match?
Hey, question, where are you when you are recording?
In the stands with the audience or do you want to place it somewhere on the field and film by itself?
I would incline on the gopro 13 black. You need a wide lens but if it stands in the sun you will get overheating :(
@VictorReviewsGarage thanks for the reply victor, I would like to fix the camera on the fence of tennis court and record
Mostly day time, sometimes at night with floodlights, I may also like to use it for behind the scenes videos 😁
But the primary use is match recording
@VictorReviewsGarage to protect it from the sun , a sunshade can be fixed over the camera I guess
If you shoot in 5.3k on the gopro 13 it might overheat in the shade also, you have to have very very low processing like:
No hypersmooth, 24fps, wide lens, maybe 4k, gps off etc.
I also use the gopro as broll i set it and forget it but if you have a full day it def needs charging.
For what it’s worth i would also check out the dji action 5 pro ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html if you are shooting in 4k. (Price is lower, image quality great, battery is amazing)
good comparison, thanks!
Appreciated man. I also have a part 2 out Gopro 13 vs iPhone 16 Pro if you are interested ruclips.net/video/Q752ETVmWzY/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I like the video but the device name on the bottom left of the screen are so friking tiny 👎🏼
Edit: and should be colored big font, so we can identify the device without looking directly at it.
Example GoPro(big blue fonts) and Dji pocket 3 (white fonts) just saying, hope this helps
Again thanks for the video I know is a lot of work as it is 😅
thank you man, I'll try to make them different.
@@VictorReviewsGarage I just struggled knowing when the camera switched between the two devices is all other than that great work.
Is a knife better than a sword?
Deep man deep.
Knife = gopro 13 black
Sword = Dji Pocket 3
Love the metaphor
for chopping onions ?
good video, waiting next video, action 4& gopro 13
hey hey, it's on the roadmap but I am holding off because there is something PRO coming from DJI actually today on the 19th.
It is rumoured to blow gopro out of the water. That I would love to test
YO YO YO! Action 5 Pro vs GoPro 13 Black just published here if interested. ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.html
What country?
🇷🇴 🇷🇴 🇷🇴
Gopro 13 low light capabilities isn't worth the money i feel. Since if u get a camera u shud be able to use it for every situation and 4k is good enough with a 1 inch sensor
fully agree. Basically when I compared it to the Action 5 Pro this was the conclusion: ruclips.net/video/SsfZuYNxRGw/видео.htmlsi=IUTM6RhanxsuvOed
It's rare you will need 5.3k. you are so right.
The reality is that a 1 inch senser doesn't really offer much of an advantage in low light. It's not until you get to an APS-C sized sensor that its good enough.
Can't you just order a drink and use one of the tiny umbrellas for the Pocket 3?
man, ahahahahhahha... by far this is the best thing I have read all week. I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!
But it really depends what you are doing. look at other videos from my channel, i basically film with the pocket 3 in almost every episode because it is good :)
I am not paid to promote it :D
look at 1:47 that face is really not my face! :D I don't look like a zombie in reality. but ofc that is fixable with an update from the gopro team
I like you review
Hey hey, 🙏 thanks a lot.
Which one do you like more? Pocket 3 or the GoPro 13?
It’s not the best thing I’ve done, I was really upset when the rain ruined all the plans for the shots, but tis what it is. Made the best of circumstances
this video should have more views!
Thabk you man, the algorithm gods will work their magic eventually. Not one of my best videos because of the rain but still… gopro 3 🤘
What do you edit in?(fcp/premiere?)
Have you seen the Action 5 Pro? It looks quite close to the pocket 3 tbh ruclips.net/video/AfWqvFlcIQE/видео.htmlsi=i1HZQcJK3XZf2lS3
(sorry for replying so late man! silly months over here, got back on it a bit now)
The color of DJI pocket 3 is weird
It's actually interesting you say that. Is this for the entire video? or just a specific place?
everybody seams to favour the gopro 13 in the comments but when I look at the footage on my laptop I would chose the pocket 3 almost every single time.
OMG why are you keep switching so fast ?????? You don't even want to give DJI to capture some moments as soon as showing DJI screen then quickly switch to GO PRO if you hater so much don't do comparison video just do Go PRO. What's wrong with you ??
wait, not sure what you mean? I want to understand, you think I should let the videos play more that 2-3 seconds for each camera?
BTW, I am a DJI pocket 3 fan, I prefer it over the gopro :D
I am such a fan of the pocket I actually compared it to a full frame last week ruclips.net/video/uiTGHaiWyGE/видео.htmlsi=JUcpo1tvfkLXK6i3

hey man, sorry for the late reply, I was traveling to film a video.
so on first hear, if you don't go in situations where you have rain or snow etc, I think the pocket 3 is just freakin great for filming these videos.
