I remember downloading a demo version of the game from softonic. After the demo's timer was up, i was so sad cause i couldnt play the game anymore and in that 1 hour, my 12 year old self have fallen in love with this game. Fast forward to mid 2013, my parents bought me a copy for my birthday.Good times boys. Im still playing this game on my phone, and dst on pc. One of the best indie franchise ever created.
And here I am, waiting for an update to a moon island on the sailable ocean with dozens of brand new characters in a multiplayer version of the game. man things go so fast.
oh the memories, I did kinda like the old research mechanic, original and cool, but hard when you run out of materials, and that's what made it such a Don't Starve type of idea, you never get anything free.
Ah, back when Klei has had a clear vision for what kind of game they even want to make. Don't get me wrong, I really like DS, but it's a survival game with tons of exploration that doesn't help you survive and exploration game where you can't explore for long before you have to stop or go back to eat or clear out your inventory or gather resources or fend off enemies. Oh, and since DST, it's also a boss rush game with monotonous, punishing combat and mostly bad boss loot. It's basically 3 amazing games, combined into 1 just good game. In this essay I will
