I think knowing the true and full history of Big Boss' story makes playing as Solid Snake so amazing. You see SS break away from the same trap that caught so many other including the man he is a copy of and his brother. Solid Snake was literally made from the ground up to become another "Boss" but finds a way to prevent himself and the world from falling into the Patriot's trap. You see the same for Otacon too as he becomes a much better person than Huey was. But that isn't the best comparison considering Huey was back stabbing pond scum from the start. With Strangelove/Otacon and Solid Snake/Big Boss and even the Ocelot/The Boss dynamic you see children becoming more than what their parents could ever hope for.

First of all, the feeding ramp is polished to a mirror sheen. It's not going to have any feeding problems. The slide's been replaced with a reinforced version, and it meshes perfectly with the frame. The frame itself has been iron-welded and scraped down multiple times for maximum precision. The front strap part of the frame has been checkered to make it dig into the hand. That prevents any slipping. The sight system's original too. It's a 3-dot type. It's got an enlarged front sight, giving it superior target sighting capability. The regular hammer's been replaced with a ring hammer. That enhances the cocking control and increases the hammer-down speed. They also reworked the grip safety to accommodate the ring hammer. It looks like they eliminated it altogether. This is a tool for pros. The thumb safety and slide stop are extended for precise handling. The base of the trigger guard is whittled down so you can use a high grip, and the trigger itself is a long type for easy finger access. The trigger pull is about 3.5 pounds. that's about a pound and a half lighter than normal. The magazine well has been widened to make it easier to put in a new magazine. The magazine catch button has been filed down low to make it harder to hit it by mistake. The mainspring housing has been changed to a flat type to increase grip, and it's even been fitted with stepping so that it won't slip from the recoil when firing. On top of that, they added cocking serrations to the top part of the slide. That lets you load and eject cartridges faster in an emergency. Whoever did this is a professional, no question. This thing could shoot a one-hole at 25 yards in a machine rest.

your ability to sift through such dense cryptic information and relay the most relevant and coherent bits is profound. much love from another kojima fanboy. also it’s beautiful so see kojima still has such a love for story telling and writing after pursuing game design for so long. The novelist kojima lives on in everything he does-and this proves that in spades (imo)
Dude, yes. I'm so happy that you're doing more of these for the MGS series, you're the first to make really good comprehensive lore videos that I've been able to find
The mgsv series was fantastic and I’ll love watching this one as well. Thanks for all the work you put into your videos, you’re quickly becoming one of my favourite creators.
I've developed an addiction to your videos, I've NEVER seen such an insightful analysis come from anyone about any game yet, I can't wait for the rest of your videos on the Metal Gear saga :)
I watched most of the vids on how u break down the MGS games & i wanna say, i apperciate the time invested in critical ideas & explaining the plot with key details.
Your series on MGSV was freaking awesome and to be honest kinda... turned me around on it a bit. Still don't like it a whole bunch but there was a lot of detail and thought put into it! Can't deny that. Now I look forward to watching your analysis of one of my favorite games of all time :]
your electronic video essays get better each and every time. admittedly, before I used to think that some of your theories would be a bit of a "stretch", but your confidence and tone of voice, as well as the video evidence you use, helps prove your point. you're pretty good.
You ask for our support as if there's any question. I always get some new angle I've never heard of before from your videos, such as proposing the totally constructed nature of Virtuous Mission vs the partially constructed nature laid out for us.
More then 20 years of being a fan of mgs...never once thought or considered about how zeros message to sokalov "sorry for being so late" has anything to do with "kept you waiting, huh?" I love having new ideas presented to me
Dropping a like and comment for support. I think what I like most about your channel is the clear and concise dialogue you provide. I also appreciate your reluctance to theory craft. You have your speculations, but it's not the focus on the video. The information you provide is solely what's been presented in the games. I like that. You're pretty good~!
The "what even happens in MGSV" videos came about cause as you noticed the game is very convoluted in its narrative, and makes sense doing the videos for that game, but you already have a lot of videos explaining the others mg games in detail. Nonetheless this is an amazing opportunity to put everything back in place after dissecting it in long videos. I'm sure the video is awesome. Thanks so much.
What an excellent video. Unlike other hack fraud youtube "analysists" who cant see anything under the most basic surface plot event and care more about internal consistency than anything else you hit all the right notes. What the themes are, how the characters carry said themes, how the story and everything else ties back into each other etc. Great vid

I really hope to see you continue this series, I'm absolutely enthralled by it. Like last time, you highlighted many things I didn't even realize and I played through MGS3 more than probably any other Metal Gear game.
I agree with the point about Snake and Ocelot having a brotherly relationship. I've always seen the dynamic of The Boss as being their mother (well she's Ocelots biological mother) and Volgin as a boorish and abusive step-dad to the boys. Apparently, in Mgs4, they're Snake, Otacon and Sunny are meant to be written in a similar family dynamic.
"snake change on eating animal is a conversion through food like with Adam and Eve" Kojima:.....yea....that was completly thought out like that from the start and not just a game mechanic....heh heh....
i watched all of your mgs videos (and a few of your other videos) even though i am a mgs nerd, this is the first time i can proudly say i didn’t learn anything new from your great analysis. but mgs3 is my favorite videogame ever, and i couldn’t explain it better. keep up the great work boss, you’re pretty good 👉👉

There's been a bunch of good analytical videos on MGS4 in the last few years, but I think there are a TON of interesting (and weird, and puzzling, and baffling) things in MGS4 which nobody has yet covered in the currently existing analyses.
Their is only one other RUclipsr that has put the effort and thought into this game series. Thank you that.
I love how Kojima made the same game everytime and still makes them amazing.
MG: soldier infiltrates secret military base
MG2S: MG1 but with more stuff going on
MGS: MG2S but with Liquid instead of Big Boss
MGS2: an in-universe recreation of MGS but with extra camp
MGS3: Kinda like MGS and MGS2 but in the cold war
That's as far as my knowledge of the series goes for now, but I'm starting to see a pattern here
First MGS game i ever played and it confused the hell out of me but loved it and is in my top 5 games of all time
I just want to say your video essays help me so much to fall asleep, and I say this in the best way. I end up going back the next day to watch the video and pay attention.
Bro… you just brought my childhood back to life… and enlightened me with so many other small details and perspectives that I completely miss when I played the games the first 100 times over. Thank you for this❤️
this comes at a perfect time, Im playing the mgs series for the first time because of this channel and i just finished mgs3, now you upload a video about it, god bless
This man produces some of the best video essays on YT. Thank you so much for the hours of entertainment
Amazing content please, on behalf of every fan of MGS, do more!
These videos are Must-See TV
I really love these series you make. I put them on and listen to them as I sleep. You have a great resting voice
This is a beyond brilliant analysis and I have no idea how you understand this game so much better than anyone else!
your ability to sift through such dense cryptic information and relay the most relevant and coherent bits is profound. much love from another kojima fanboy.
also it’s beautiful so see kojima still has such a love for story telling and writing after pursuing game design for so long. The novelist kojima lives on in everything he does-and this proves that in spades (imo)
You just flipped everything I knew about the mgs lore twice in one video.
Much respect for all of the high quality Metal Gear content coming from this channel!
Can't wait to see this series through, they are awesome!
I love these meta cultural analysis series and these actual game analysis. It hits both spectrums of the storytelling architecture
The mgsv series of videos were fantastic and opened my eyes to things I'd never noticed. Really excited about this
I've developed an addiction to your videos, I've NEVER seen such an insightful analysis come from anyone about any game yet, I can't wait for the rest of your videos on the Metal Gear saga :)
I watched most of the vids on how u break down the MGS games & i wanna say, i apperciate the time invested in critical ideas & explaining the plot with key details.
Your analysis of Metal Gear is unparalleled. Fine work indeed.
Your series on MGSV was freaking awesome and to be honest kinda... turned me around on it a bit. Still don't like it a whole bunch but there was a lot of detail and thought put into it! Can't deny that. Now I look forward to watching your analysis of one of my favorite games of all time :]
You're increase of subscribers compared to when I first started following you is genuinely joyous for me
I love these videos. But I gotta admit, if you so Death Stranding, there's a 7 hour video out there to compete with.
your electronic video essays get better each and every time. admittedly, before I used to think that some of your theories would be a bit of a "stretch", but your confidence and tone of voice, as well as the video evidence you use, helps prove your point.
you're pretty good.
How the hell is it I never knew of this guy he does a amazing job breaking MGS series down
You ask for our support as if there's any question. I always get some new angle I've never heard of before from your videos, such as proposing the totally constructed nature of Virtuous Mission vs the partially constructed nature laid out for us.
Amazing Simple Analysis
Beautiful Art
Great Oration
Thank You Great Man
More then 20 years of being a fan of mgs...never once thought or considered about how zeros message to sokalov "sorry for being so late" has anything to do with "kept you waiting, huh?"
I love having new ideas presented to me
Your videos have reshaped my understanding of these games, and my life is all the better for it. Keep em coming!!
Woah I was expecting this to be a simple recap video but you go really indepth
Tree bark is definitely an under appreciated camo pattern
Having just played through MGS3 for the first time, seeing this just now made me very excited and happy!
This is insane my dude the gift that keeps on giving
i look forward to your videos more than most other channels. the amount of effort you put into the script and analysis alone is impressive.
Your video essays made me respect MGSV even more - can’t wait for this!
I love how the sorrow bridge has come full circle, since MG2
What an excellent video. Unlike other hack fraud youtube "analysists" who cant see anything under the most basic surface plot event and care more about internal consistency than anything else you hit all the right notes. What the themes are, how the characters carry said themes, how the story and everything else ties back into each other etc. Great vid
YES THIS VIDEO IS MY DREAM
MGS3 is my like, second favourite game of all time, but I have honestly groaned and sighed at The Boss's endless rambling speeches.
I’ve watched this video at least 20 times and I still enjoy it lol
Boss. I need to check out more of your stuff. Somehow I always watch half of your videos and then listen to some MGS OST on youtube. I really need to get a grip. 😅🙈
Whahaha ive had that exact thing happen to me a couple times too xD
Same thing happened to me. I almost stopped the video half way to listen to ost... but then i was like no.. i need to ingest this content first
Definitely down for several episodes on each game. Great job as always!
MGS 1,2,3 are freaking genious pieces of work, and your analysis of them are hands down the best. great work. got any background or knowledge of psychology?
Just beat this game for the second time and, because I won't be replaying Peace Walker and V, I look forward to your videos on them.
I really hope to see you continue this series, I'm absolutely enthralled by it. Like last time, you highlighted many things I didn't even realize and I played through MGS3 more than probably any other Metal Gear game.
YEEEEEEEEEEESSS I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS!
Let's GO Boss!
*codec call
"Sokolov-sokolov-sokolov..."
GOT IT !
knife...gun....KNIFEGUN
"Snake, what are you doing?"
"I'm in a box..."
"Aw Hell no!"
@@Ohflipsnap uh huh
Did you get any of that?
Not even a little.
Ty for the content. I love reliving these games and realizing details I may have missed in the lore
I could watch these all day
Really enjoyed the MGSV series, delighted to see this!
Do you ever sleep? You churn out such high quality videos with such length very quickly. I'm very impressed!
binged watched MGS1, MGS2 and the Chico Tapes. These videos are top notch!
Dude I loved your MGSV series, absolutely beautiful. Keep it up, you are amazing.
Algorithm brought me here, MGSV series kept me here. Love the vids!
To this day I am wondering why Siberia was shown in MGS 3 as a giant jungle.
you blow these games WIDE open thank you so much!
I just finished the MGSV series so seeing this in my sub box came as a huge and pleasent surprise! Can't wait the rest!
These videos meet the quality of the games you cover
I agree with the point about Snake and Ocelot having a brotherly relationship. I've always seen the dynamic of The Boss as being their mother (well she's Ocelots biological mother) and Volgin as a boorish and abusive step-dad to the boys.
Apparently, in Mgs4, they're Snake, Otacon and Sunny are meant to be written in a similar family dynamic.
"snake change on eating animal is a conversion through food like with Adam and Eve"
Kojima:.....yea....that was completly thought out like that from the start and not just a game mechanic....heh heh....
i watched all of your mgs videos (and a few of your other videos) even though i am a mgs nerd, this is the first time i can proudly say i didn’t learn anything new from your great analysis.
but mgs3 is my favorite videogame ever, and i couldn’t explain it better.
keep up the great work boss, you’re pretty good 👉👉
Boss always delivers !
Thanks jori !
just found your channel. Your analysis of my favorite game series has made me see all the things I overlooked in a whole new light. Keep it up! great videos.
Your content is god tier bro
I've just started playing Snake Eater a few days ago after completing MGSV and getting the HD collection and MGS2. Great Timing.
