There's something so funny to me about perfect Ghost Snake being so careful and meticulous to be silent and unseen, and then absolutely BLASTING his way through all the doors.
I appreciate MGS4's gameplay more these days. Unfortunately the cutscenes outweigh it. Octocamo is a huge improvement for game flow. I haven't play MGS4 on hard or extreme in a decade but you can get away with not using facecamo on solid normal. I was able to do no alerts without covering up Snake's face. The only thing Facecamo is missing is a young Snake with solid eye.
@@TBrizzle01 Some people dislike the cutscenes but it's one of my favorite parts. If you look at the progression of the series, Kojima's love for film, and this being the final chronological core MG game it had to be that way.

I *love* the ghost playstyle. It's such a test of patience and skill. I always play my Metal Gear games that way, except I'm NOT at all that good. Never have been, and as I get older it becomes harder. But I love attempting it every time I play. It's exciting to be in the middle of a camp and no one suspects you're there. It's exciting to be so close to the enemy, yet so out of mind that you don't exist. Makes night tag with the boys exciting too!

For the scientists, you should be able to equip a non suspicious weapon or item like the cigs or something, and then aim it while walking around them so your back is always turned to them the entire time
About the scientist's. Use the cigarette gas-spray-gun. You just have to hold it to your mouth, then you can walk around them by showing your back to them. But be careful, guards can be triggered by that.
I remember seeing your runs many years ago during the golden days of GDQ, and I'm so glad youtube randomly recommended this video to me. Its a joy to see that you are still doing well and still playing these amazing games. Keep it up Sir! Much love.
True, the Major says that they need to know you were there to prove America's involvement after the first section of the game. Still, it makes for a fun challenge to extend it to the whole game, and it's kinda fun to imagine the consequences it'd have on the story if Snake was too good at his job.
This is why I prefer the gameplay in MGS1, 2, PW, and V. It's easier to sneak in with just movement, which should be the basis for stealth. Good stream anyways
Currently got an ulcer on my uvula causing it to swell. And this video helped not only with my 3-2-1 gulp with the timer, due to my uvula making drinking uncomfortable. But the mellowness of this video really helps ease my nerves after each time since it's like I'm "almost" choking but I'm not. Great job on the run though, scientists are poopoo no matter how you play the game. XD
Everyone who watches this likely knows it's a numeral for five, however it's still "v" in English. You could say either without it being "incorrect" even if we're well aware that it's indicated as a number. That can happen with humans, and it's only more likely with simplistic characters like "two lines meeting at a point" which is what V is, or likewise "two lines with another connecting them halfway down" which is an A. If you've ever drawn a triangle, you can easily draw these letters, and might end up doing so, even if you've never spoken or heard a language that uses them
Hideo Kojima has said himself that it isn't MGS5, but MGSV. The MGSV logo also looks very similar to INGSOC logo from Orwell's '1984', where it means Victory, and the V games reference 1984 a lot (at least the phantom pain). V also stands for Venom, as in Venom Snake.
There is a way go past the scientist using the cicarettes with the sleeping gas, if you equip them and get ready to shoot but dont, you can force snake to keep an orientation but move in all directions, that way you can walk sideways or even backwards facing away from each scientist and they wont say anything. Still awesome run.
Not sure if its true but I think sometimes when u crawl fast some guards and bosses can still see you. the end can sometimes shoot you even with high camo if your fast crawling. ofc not sure if this is true coding wise but might be fun to test. cheers and good run as always

This is such a beautiful game. I just got an HDMI upscaler for my ps2 and I was actually blown away by how good ps2 looks on a 4k display. It's actually not much worse than the HD version.
I feel like for a "no traces" run, which is based off the ideas that Special Forces aren't even allowed to poop, you should be allowed to use the game mechanics and toss snakes in their containers like frisbees. What's the sentry going to tell his commanding officer in the report, which sounds more of a natural cause? "I got judo thrown and suddenly knocked out." "A jungle snake crept up on me and bit me." Obviously, you can't discharge a firearm, because not only are you going to (supposedly) hit a target in their vitals, but also because of the trace of gunpowder and the spent case (which you can't pick up in the game), so even shooting bees/hornets nests would be a fail (just restablishing boundaries since environmental interaction is being modified). Obviously, the exclusion to this rule is during bossfights, in which since you're already "spotted" (esp during Ocelot), you already are expected to shoot back (such as Shagohod and Eva chase), at which point if it's okay for those boss fights, then the rest should be okay as well since it's a slippery slope. Although, I feel like hunting markhors would no longer be allowed due to leaving behind a carcass irl that will show signs of being skinned and butchered. Ramen, calorie mates, and rations would be permissable on the lore reason that it would be plausible that Snake would pass by a rubbish bin when sneaking indoors. Everything after Volgin happens in one straight shot, so it would make sense for Snake and Eva to temporarily place the litter in their extra pockets (or clothing) until they got off the WIG on landing in Alaska.
