I was watching this while talking with a friend on discord. Had to pause the video to tell him about the cringe. Interesting video regardless but I just wish I saw the Kaalia deck do more.

That was a bad play though. You have no mana left to do anything, you refill the Chulane players hand with gas, and Inalla has 2 blue untapped with 7 cards in hand. No point in casting it there.
It's "chewlane". Emma handy (who worked on the brawl decks) pronounced it that way in the professor's last video with her where she explained a deck type with chulane.
Love the video and thanks for the content. i was wondering if I made a deck like your blue pod, but for a more casual environment, what would be the main cards to take out and keep
You just got done saying that mana was available for the missed additional cost from Aura of Silence but then, before he had even gotten his next untap step, Joesph tapped out to activate thrasios. I don't know what you consider major, but it looks to me like he got an extra card out of it that same turn.
When Jordan flashed in the Aven Mindsensor, did he remember the Chulane triggers? It appears that his library didn't move during the edit; the top card is still askew.
I'd very much love to see Atla Palani, Nest Tender in these games, she has so many interesting and degenerate ways that you can build her and I love how the longer she stays on board the more she just bounces back without any effort from so many things
In Edh, competitive just means you have any commander with the exact same 4 finishers as any other deck. Kiki is in like every 1-4 decks on this show, the rest are the same exact black cards that deck yourself out for some infinite combo we have seen 20 times already. I sometimes click seeing an interesting commander, but the decks dont match the theme of the commander. The just pick the commanders for their colors
@Casually Competitive MTG 8:08 Inalla player has the win in hand: - Exile Simian Spirit Guide to cast Faithless Looting, discarding Scholar of the Ages and whatever. - Use floating B and C from Underground River to cast Shallow Grave (from opening hand), returning Scholar of the Ages to the battlefield, which returns Shallow Grave and whatever back to hand. - Cast Burnt Offering using Exotic Orchard, sacrificing Scholar of the Ages to generate BBBBBBB. - Cast Shallow Grave, returning Scholar of the Ages, which returns Shallow Grave and Burnt Offering back to hand, pay for Inalla trigger and proceed to generate infinite hasty Scholars.
Jordan could’ve drawn his deck turn 7 with lotus cobra and the drake right? Floating one mana from The drake ETB bounce the Drake draw put a land into play potentially and repeat right?? Or am I missing something.
This game shows why everybody hates playing against Thrasios. The accumulated advantage is staggering. Does help though that one guy was manascrewed and one guy got ridiculously shafted with their Ad Nauseam.
I feel so bad for Adam, and Bill. I actually found this video looking for Kaalia lol but that was rough. I swear Joseph had the absolute sauceee. Every answer he needed he had it all. So I would it if you guys would try another round involving Kaalia please 😃
That Blue Pod deck is really good. A friend of mine has been playing that deck lately and every game is like this one. He gets tons of mana from Faeburrow Elder and other shenanigans and digs through his deck with seemingly endless Thrasios activations. The stax pieces he plays slow things down and he always seems to have an overloaded Cyclonic Rift at the ready to set everybody else off their game plan while he goes off. It's can be very tough to beat!
So I just noticed that Joseph played Thrasios with phyrexian revoker still on the field, did that still have thrasios named at the time and I missed it?
I always enjoy your videos! :) Question - when Jordan flashed in Aven Mindcensor, should have drawn a card/played an option land due to the Chulane trigger? Or did I perhaps just miss it? :)
In my honest opinion, aside from how much I love Partner as an ability in this format, I think without a doubt Thrasios is the best commander in the game currently. An absolute amount of early value with the ability to be flexible as a partner commander for so many different deck builds.
Hey there CCMTG! I've been streaming with some friends as well and have been interested in jumping into youtubes as well. Are you using any programs to display cards on the screen or just cycling through them in post production? Have you found any other ways to streamline the process? How long does editing take for you? I appreciate your videos! I subbed. Hope your February is going awesome.
It was kinda sad seeing only 1 deck really going off while 1 killed himself by ad naus (at least it shows that the card isn't all that broken; it costs life and can easily whiff), kaalia was very mana screwed and chulane's deck got shutdown too many times at perfect moments (like the linvala drops and thrasios being thrasios netting so many counterspells). Was hoping for a less one sided game :/. Nevertheless good job.
Sad to see Chulane not win tho. It's my personal competitive deck (I use that term loosely since my deck is somewhere above the $300 mark as opposed to how much these decks go for) but I know the struggle of trying to draw into win cons xD
By my count, those missed Aura taxes were potentially huge. Joseph got two or three cards deeper than he should have, one of which was the critical Flusterstorm.
Not sure what artifact you're talking about, but before the Flusterstorm there was a Birthing Pod and a Corridor Monitor played. The Birthing Pod tax was paid at the cut around 16:20 (two lands tap when the scene cuts) and for the Corridor Monitor, I had an adapted Incubation Druid up at the start of my next turn which would have been able to pay for the tax (end of that turn was around 19:35).
@@johnkidby4404 No worries! I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a tax that I missed. I went through the footage while editing to make sure it didn't affect anything and if there was something I missed I'd want to note that somewhere
At 16:20 you'll notice two additional mana tapped (Forbidden Orchard and Hallowed Fountain) that weren't tapped before the scene cuts. Before Mana Breach was cast we realized the Birthing Pod tax misplay and it was played at that point
The decks in general should become much more varied moving forward. Seasons 2 and 3 don't contain any of the decks played on the channel yet so the next few months all of videos should all contain new commanders.
