- We're getting back to the Chevy, and MAN I LOVE SANDBLASTING. Smell that sarcasm. We're getting the metal stripped down to reveal more damage than I originally noticed with the pain on.
Also - a HUGE shout out to my Wife who lets me follow this silly RUclips thing. Without her support in many aspects of our life, I would not be able to make this happen!

Chances are if your rear bumper baffle doesn't have a license light, it is a 49-50 and will not fit properly. To remove column, remove steering wheel - column comes out through the engine bay...once shifter is detached, 5 bolts holding it. Use the rear license plate bracket holes to pull out on. Attach a come-along to what you attach to the holes, pull out while tapping down the high places. If you have a spoon, you can get behind the welded latch support and pry out while applying outward force with the come-along.

very good job you are doing with that jewel. I bought a 52 4-door exactly the same as yours and I will begin to restore it, I have already separated the body from the chassis and will start the sand blast these days, your videos are helping me a lot for that work that I will do, I will continue to follow your work because they are of much help
You can do it! I did not pull my frame and cab, due to lack of equipment and level floor to work on in the shop, so, short of that, it will get a complete going-thru. Thanks for watching, and I'm really happy this is helping you out! -- Do you also have the swivel mirror on the driver side? I cannot find a replacement, or replacement mirror for mine. Many seem to have fixed mirrors on the doors.
@@DachsAutos luckily I got it from the old owner with all the original chrome and moldings and some pieces come double since he was going to restore it, I have a couple of extra two door mirrors, they are new, I could send them to you.

I actually picked up my rear rockers from them! Looks to be some pretty good parts. I understand they purchased the original tooling, do you know if that's correct?
That's what I heard also. Working on a 51 2 door deluxe just getting started , got the motor trans end rear end out. Try to make it a daily driver. Keep up the good work looks great.
Some tedious work right there.
Sure is, but still faster than a wheel for sure..
