Why do you think the 8mm is rated lower than the 10mm when the only difference is the hole diameter?

@HowNOT2 A hanger is only as strong as the bolt it's being held in with. In testing 8mm wedge bolts, I often just get 22 to 28kN or so with a variety of hangers. And for 10mm bolts I get 30 to 40kN. The Zuotianya UIAA certified SS304 hangers are rated for 25kN, but I got as high as +60kN pulling directly on them. It'd be odd stamp a rating on a hanger pulling end to end because no bolt it's installed with could ever reach those forces. I've even tested 12.9 grade steel glue-in threaded rods of 10mm diameter, and got 43kN. Bolt broke rather than the beefy hanger.

It's also the same thing with the hanger that Xinda and Camnal sell. The 10mm and 12mm hanger are the exact same size, the only difference is the bolt hole. They're 10 mm one is ready to 25kN, but their 12mm one is rated to 30kN. I still have yet to break test and talk about their hangers. I'm sitting on a lot of hardware, just takes time to do, not to mention the energy and motivation.
