More commentary would definitely be awesome. Analyze what you’re seeing for us newbs. Also more tune vids with different cars. That stuff is still over my head. I upgraded the R32 GT-R ‘94 last night to over 700pp and it was damn near impossible to keep on the road. Tweaked with tuning for hours but oversteer / tire slippage is ridiculous, whether braking or accelerating. You have to ease into both and it’s still a slippery mess. Admittedly I’m not great at this game and playing with a dualsense. I enjoy your vids though, keep going!
Forgot to mention your track guide for Deep Forest is great as well and would also like to see more of those. I haven’t played multi yet and still using breaking zone and line assist for the campaign. I really need to turn that stuff off and git gud.
It's all about the setup you get from braking. If you can trail brake a bit and use a bit of curb on the inside left, then it sets you up really nicely for early throttle on exit. Also make sure you're maintaining throttle control over the curbs on the exit so you don't spin the rear tires
@@Harmonic14 Yeah, it's mentioned a lot in motor racing circles but trail-braking is one of the most, if not *the* most important technique to learn in enabling a complete braking experience - braking at the very last moment in a straight line approaching the corner and then learning to still brake whilst you're starting to turn into the corner by gradually releasing that brake as you're reaching the apex (so as not to unsettle to car too much). A technique you have to learn for Interlagos' first corner / as is the first corner at Brands Hatch too for example (prob one of the hardest corners to ever get right as you can't do it at all without trail braking).

Ran through the menus and was like ok... back to forza... I can't even play forza now. It feels like cruising USA compared to gran turismo. .. damn.

would love to see more videos like this. it would be cool if you can show your fastet lap without camera switching. more commentary would also be nice. i think this could be very very helpfull for us noobs to get a better game understanding. thanks for all your work!

In that first corner. I never want to be wider then the right entrance spot. Just my thing? Then really pour down in to the right to the wide left. Issue their... Is if someone is on you going into one. I brake a tiny bit early risking a bump. But it seems to be a good line. Cause if behind, They inch a bit in one. But I get right back on them with possible sneaking under by 3s wide left. Depends on car and setup etc to. But I always pull up on cars, giving a bit on keeping one tight. Creating a much more direct line down that, into the sweeping 3.
I don't use either of those assists - they just intervene and slow you down. I think some of the top guys use the countersteer assist, but I don't have enough experience on a wheel to say why.
I haven’t gotten the game yet but what do you think of the Jaguar F Type? Is it a contender as a off meta possibility? It’s my favorite car I’d love to know I wasn’t destined to lose just because I chose it.
Any ideas what 2nd places handbrake kept coming on? I’ve noticed that a few time in other races I’ve done when reviewing the replay. Maybe to do with using a pad?
I think that's a stability control assist. The handbrake is on the top right on the left side of the screen. I'm on pad as well and it never shows up, so it's probably some type of assist they're using. Handbrake is definitely used on pad to turn in slow corners though. Not common, but there are times and places where it works
@@Harmonic14 I had a few races back in forza with you. I’m struggling being smooth on this game on controller. Fair play how smooth you are on it I just can’t get used to it, been playing forza to long I think.
@@TheSuperFishs it's definitely tougher being smooth on GT. Between the exponential throttle map and the smaller throw of the triggers compared to the Xbox controller, throttle control is tough
I use toms Supra, more so trying to save my credits for now and using what’s available, and 1:34:5 is my best but low 1:35s is my consistency. Still trying to get better driving in packs , it gets tricky picking lines and not bumping or getting bumped by RCZ which stops a lot quicker and seems to rotate a lot better.

In Sport with a controller, that was the car that just worked. All my lat gen, GT6 sport wins were mostly this car.

I saw a couple of the top 5 utilizing assists. What is your, and the general community’s, view on TCS and ASM?
