- After defeating the running man, link goes to Zora's Domain and can use the Fire Medallion to thaw the water, and reach the never before accessed unicorn fountain.
This is a clip from my playthrough of the leaked patch of Triforce Percent shown at SDGQ. It's pretty buggy, since it was never intended to be played by the public, but it's fun to see a lot of childhood myths come true.
And then 7 years of glaciers are instantly melted and flood hyrule.

That’s how Zoras Domain should have looked like after finishing the Water Temple.
It would have been kind of interesting if it slowly unfreezes after every in universe day
Even if this fountain doesnt exist in the official game, should have give us the option to unfreeze Zora’s Domain AFTER defeating the boss. As its known the ice cannot be unfrozen as long as the boss lives, and since its dead should have allowed us to unfreeze Zora’s Domain.

@@cartoonhead9222 I believe Sheik told us the ice isnt normal. Its a curse that it will always freeze Zora’s Domain and as long as the boss lives, it will always freeze.
As proof when you are on your way to ice cavern, you will see snow. After the boss’ defeat and you come back there, you wont see any snow.
Originally Zora's domain was meant to unfreeze. However the idea was cut in order to focus on other parts of the game... The next game Majora's mask deliberately made sure that each region changed after defeating the boss of that area for exactly that reason. And if you noticed its an idea that carried over to Tears of the Kingdom.
@@RG-Zeldaplayer Which is weird because I thought they did a good job with Forest and Fire Temple, it went back to normal. Minus the parts where Saria and Darunia is missing.
Before the forest temple was done, it has monsters inside the village which scares people into staying inside. After that, they are able to go out.
Before fire temple, all Gorons were missing. Taken by Volvagia, Darunia decide to stop him by himself. Only one Goron stayed in Goron City, that is Link.
After the Fire Temple, all the Gorons that were freed are all in Goron City.
Probably only the Water Temple is where Zoras are left frozen, unable to do anything even after the boss.
The fact the unicorn fountain has the horns pointing in three different directions; high, low and level with the player, makes me think this was originally meant to be part of the water temple and was used to change the height of the water instead of the 3 triforce symbols and Zelda's lullaby.
So this is what closure feels like…

Looking back at early OOT theories around the unicorn fountain and whatnot, I find it really interesting that even before the internet/youtube existed, I tried to access this place.
as a kid I thought there must be an extra swimming scale upgrade or something that I dont know about lol. Good times when everything was still shrouded in mystery 😂
Overture of Sages sounds a lot like Oath to Order

Man i would lose hours trying to find a way to unfreeze this place when i was kid , so satisfying seeing it .
It may seem... odd, to be talking to a rigid figure, but I like to think about it like Wind Waker's fairy queen, her true form is inscrutable, so in order to speak to mortals such as the choosen hero, she uses this doll so Link doesn't feel he's speaking to a disembodied voice.
Woke up stressed. Watching this on a loop helps.
And then all the cryogenically frozen zora's died, the end.

Aww.... I wanted the Song of Hooters to be "canon" and the Mido fight where he does the hokey pokey. (Yes that WAS a real rumour.)
Of course the devs knew how much fans hated not being able to unfreeze the Zora's Domain, which is why they finally let us do it in Twilight Princess.
Still no Unicorn Fountain though...

I have to say, this is one thing that would have made the game epic.
What they did was take pieces of many broken rumors, and made a beautiful mosaic out of them. And honestly? while I never knew much of these rumors, the fact they managed to code it in with ACE is nothing short of a miracle.

i hate that im bothered by the plot inconsistency that ganondorf only froze zora's domain after he got the triforce of power, which he only got by link opening the door of time, which doesn't happen in this entire scenario.

Yes this is modded, it was initially does using arbitrary code execution (doing it using glitches essentially), and this mod was made to replicate the effects of that code.
