@@karmieh absolutely helpful! The 2024 Knife with keep part option is very cool feature for cutting model apart. unfortunately i am stuck with version 2022.
@@cwtjones I do have the 2024 but honestly i haven's used the Knife tool yet, working for production it's hard to find the time to try new tools that you can be sure they won't cause problems down the line, when I add a new technique to my workflow I need to use it at least on a couple of project before I decide that it's worth the time to integrate in my workflow.
Man, i wish more sculptors would think about the assembling and painting, and not just the printing (please detach the back side of the hair too, so they can be airbrushed). So many models have hair attached to the head, bags attached to hands and, some that have a straight cut through the thighs and don't get me started on clothes that have straps. Please separate pieces by both shape AND color. Japanese garage kits have it figured it out already, just copy from them. I personally end up just not buying those badly split models and it's a shame honestly.
Oh man, I think the fact I painted my own sculpts I started to appreciate how difficult it is to paint and customise a figure if it's not properly split. For the back hair, because this is going to be a one-off now, I decided to leave cause it's not going to be a pain for me to paint, but I would absolutely split the hair if this was for sale.
