Quitting the entertainment food is a real challenge. The action of snacking for me, like during work or watching a show, was super apparent for me when I switch my snack to hard boiled eggs. I can go through 6 a day on top of my meals of steak, eggs and butter. My inflammation was out of control, so much so that I lost two inches from around my waist on week two. My scale only says I lost 3 pounds. My friends (who I haven't told yet) are like, "wow you have lost weight." Thank you both for sharing, keep going, we can do this. ❤

Yes!! I’m such a snacker. Troy just perfected peeling hard boiled eggs, so we’ll try that approach.
      Well done!!

Stick W/ it!! You won’t regret this Journey, I promise you that. I gave The Lion Diet (Beef, Butter, Salt, Water) a try for 30 days. Albeit, it was very strict and I hated not having my morning cup of coffee, but the clarity I got from it was astounding. I lost a lot of weight, then slowly added things back into my diet and have since become more “Animal Based.” I eat Red Meat (Pasture Raised & Wild Game) Farm Fresh Eggs, Raw Dairy, Raw Honey, and Minimal Organic Fruit, like Bananas, Berries, Apples, Melons & Oranges. I’m trying to get my fruit eating to be Seasonal, to where I have Melons and Berries during the Spring & Summer, then the Fall & Winter eat more Apples & Citrus.
No Seed Oils, No Processed Foods, and I have 1 10oz Cup of Coffee with Raw Cream & Honey every Morning!
God Bless, Stay on Course!! 🤙🏻

Love that approach! In hindsight, I think that starting with a more restrictive Lion Diet would have been the best method.

Meat aversion is a normal part of the induction process. I had it too. I was so nauseated having to make/smell yet another burger or steak in the beginning but that went away fairly quickly within the first 30 days and now every meal is a pleasure, especially the ones cooked on the grill outside...LOL!
Two and half weeks in, do not give up guys! There is no stronger 'why' than MS. If you haven't watched every No Carb Life interview with folks suffering from MS, please make a playlist of them and watch them through a few times. I also follow Rebecca at Cabana Chronicles on YT. Her MS recovery story is amazing. She did an interview with her dad (also a doctor) just recently who hadn't seen her since she started carnivore and he was astonished at what he can only describe as miraculous. Please please don't let carb addiction win! It's so special that you guys are a team. I couldn't have gotten this far without my husband's support so help each other to get serious, make a plan and make the sacrifices together for at least 90 days...don't walk away before you know what it can do for you. Once you see and feel the benefits, you can't unsee or unfeel them and that will bring you back when you falter in the future. It is so worth it!

Grill for the win! Clean up is so much easier!
I really appreciate your words of encouragement. I’m sure you are right. Also, I’m so so happy that it’s worked for you 🧡🧡🧡

Maybe it's just me, but I delayed starting carnivore until I had eaten all the carbs (including apples in that bottom fridge drawer) in the house (and gave the booze away). Throw that shit out, or kiss your goals goodbye. IMHO...

You both are doing good, because you are both trying to better yourselves. Alcohol can affect your mobility and cognitive functions.

I had a severe aversion to mince (ground beef), but could eat a beef steak and also pork chops. It was the taste & texture of the mince meat. I also found that eating roast chicken wings or thighs was helpful, especially with carb cravings as well.
I also had aversion to eggs but found it was just the egg whites that my body didn’t want so I just ate the egg yokes with my bacon.
    Cheers, Lynda ♥️🇦🇺🦘

Adding chicken wings to the grocery list. We’ll give those a try this week 😃

It all takes time. You will see changes but not in a week or two. Stick with it and I get it The sugar is very addictive. White knuckle through it if you have to and it will get easier.

Carnivore is not a weight loss way of eating. It is a health optimization way of eating. Your body will pick and choice what needs to be healed first. I gained 25lbs when I went from keto to carnivore. It took about 5 months before I started losing the 25 I gained. Stay focused on the non scale victories and avoid the scales(a Professor Bart Kay suggestion) Your both doing great. Kicking the carbs out of the diet isn't easy. I'm 5 years into my carnivore journey and can still be triggered by old familiar smells of yummy poisonous food.

Pay attention to ingredients to help not want to consume the bad things. Have you looked at the label on Reese’s products? I believe those like pretty much all candy these days contains bioengineered ingredients. To me that is a huge turnoff. Many also have chemical coloring and other nasty ingredients that I don’t want in my body. Learn what the ingredients do to our bodies (and most things in any kind of packaging aren’t fit for human consumption). Educating myself and paying attention was pivotal to having things I formerly thought were tasty become repulsive to me. Also, once your body has detoxed out the junk, they actually don’t taste as good because the fake stuff becomes more pronounced to a cleansed palate. Every time now I’m tempted and take a bite of a donut or candy or other things I stopped having, the result is that as soon as it’s in my mouth I realize it’s not so good as the eyes think it is and I spit that bite out and throw the rest away. It just is not worth eating nasty junk with no real nutrition and not good enough to consume empty calories or have it damage my gut or any other ill effects it may cause.

Oh we know you’re right. The ingredients are truly awful. It’s less good than something created in a lab. It’s just tough to get through the detox process. Thank you for sharing and supporting!
