- Hey everyone, Prowl here and welcome to Keeping it Simple, a tutorial series targeted to show you how things are done. Today’s tutorial is an amazing, tiny, and very easy to make Chicken and Egg farm. This is one of the first things you should try to make early in your world, to set yourself up on a good food source, and the feathers are great to make arrows! This farm is fully featured, it has an on/off switch to get either eggs, or chicken from the farm, so if you need a lot of eggs for some reason, you only need to flick a lever to get them 😊

I really appreciate this series. You are not just teaching us a specific redstone item, but you're teaching us how Redstone works, so that we can build things ourselves.
I would like to see some Minecraft rail systems for farms. Mainly, how to use them to gather resources from several farms and drop them into one location where your sorting system is.
Thanks for the simple build. I understand the reason behind larger builds but they are also so overwhelming. Keep them coming.
It's perfect I always struggle with food source in my world
Glad you enjoy!

I am a subscriber. I love these videos and all that you make. Truth, I am an old man with kids and grandkids. My 12 yr old son got me to play MC with him and I love it. Of course I am totally lost on all the things I can do. You are helping so much. Redstone builds totally baffle me and you are a light in the darkness. Thank you so much
This is the best tutorial video for a cooked chicken farm that I’ve ever seen
This series is great Prowl. Super simple, super entertaining and super useful. Best of all, they are super educational. Keep it simple! :)
Just built this for my survival world on Xbox.. Now to see if it works!
EDIT: ON XBOX ONE w/ 30 CHICKENS, YES IT WORKS... Gtta b patient waiting for baby chix to grow... But it works!!
Great video I like the series you put out every week I’d like to see a cow farm kelp farm and any other easy farms
These are on my list :)
Love this series! Definitely building all these projects.
Awesome :)
Agreed these are the farms I needed
You made me a subscriber with your keeping it simple series. I really enjoy it. Ideas for future episodes: keep with the animal farm theme. Show off auto sheep farms (they are my favorite) and maybe even a nice cow farm.
They are on my list :)
I like the farm, Prowl. Could you place the lever directly on the Redstone Lamp and take the mode-change signal from the active lamp? I'm gonna try it later; I really enjoy condensing Redstone circuitry, even if it's just by a little.
If anyone is rebuilding, you can retain your chickens by building the new farm, building a bridge to the new farm while leaving a barrier at the old farm end, breaking open the barrier and luring the chickens over with seeds, and then sealing them in. Then you can demolish your old farm and recover materials. Remember that chickens can pathfind up a block, so if your new farm's chicken hole is higher for any reason just step up the bridge as necessary along the way, being mindful of your bridge's wall blocks. You need to rise up one wall block before you step the bridge up or they'll be able to edge around and over the original bridge wall height from the new bridge floor height.
Hey prowl pls do a stackable sugarcane farm for bedrock
Its on my to-do list :)
Good stuff. I like how you explain things and not just show how to build it. I already have one built that works really well, but I do like that egg/chicken lever. I tried to do something like that but didnt figure it out. Cant say I tried very hard to figure it out since I have 3 running around on display in a pen and Im collecting what they drop but I might consider a redesign now lol 🤣
Do it!
Make one about finding a good world
Sounds like a fun one to do. Ill put it on my list.
Thanks prowl just made this in my new survival world thank you :-) works perfectly
Finally I can rip off chick fil a in Minecraft!
Please can you do a really fast carrot farm or something, it can use bonemeal if u want, THANKS!
Its on my list.
Prowl8413 thanks!
I like how you decorate it as chicken coop.
Is there a gold farm on the list?
Me likes golden carrot. :)
Not on this list, but in my normal tutorial list there is
Thanks Prowl
Love your simplicity
I guess Prowl didn't have as good a microphone when this video was made -- regardless though, this is still a good and useful tutorial and very simple to build. I do appreciate that you made it do double time as an egg farm as well.
Perhaps it would be a good candidate for an updated version using fire aspect looting 3 foxes? I don't think I've seen you do a chicken cooker tutorial in that style.
Next sugarcane and pumpkin farm for pumpkin pie
I love how easily you describe mechanics and reasons for using certain blocks. It really helps players to understand the fundamentals for things.
Oof xp also reminds me of how much I miss my chicken farms. I really hope they fix the bugs with chicken farms in the beta right now.
We want a creeper farm
DUDE!!! @Prowl6413, I just removed my chucken cooker on my realm because I would only get one cooked chicken at a time, thank you for explaining why!! Now I will have to go back and build this design :)
I’m on a two player realm, I had about 20-30 chicken in my farm. But the dispenser couldn’t keep up. I’d end up with a dispenser of eggs, they weren’t shooting. It’s slower, but I recommend using less chickens if you’re on a realm/server
Not sure if you've done it but a potion brewer.
Beautiful. Also Prowl, I have a question. You and Silent seem to be using the same hopper texture pack that's basically directional hoppers, right? The thing is, I can't find a link to download it anywhere. Either that or I'm just stupid. So could you link me to a download for the pack? It would really help me out. Thanks.
I havent seen silents, I had someone make mine, its not available for download yet :)
@@Prowl8413 I see. Thank you for the information. Keep up the good work you're doing, by the way, it really helps me out.
Omer Navaid you can go on bedrock tweaks and get a bunch of texture packs that includes the hopper one
@@masterdyl7100 Thanks
Like to see a elevator flying machine with honey blocks and slime bloxks
I made that Chicken/Egg farm before but this is more compact.
It's infective ❤️❤️ thanks for totorial
is there a way to automatically feed them?
Thank you for this tutorial :)
First off I love your videos. Im working on making a basalt generator that pushes the basalt out then goes out 10 blocks then gets turn right. Then goes out 6 blocks then gets turned right and 6 more blocks then turns right. Then when it has make a complete square A observator detects it and pushes the whole row down one and creates another row. Then when it makes 10 rows down in the middle of square just above the top row a tnt duplicator drops tnt down the middle of it destroying the blocks. Then have obscene wrapped around it so nothing else gets destroyed. Then have hopper minecart under the obscene to pick them up. Do you have any videos like that can help me build it. My problem is detecting and turn the blocks around and detecting and pushing the blocks down can you help me out.
Tnt only drops about 30 percent of the blocks I think. so tnt not good for farming
How do I make a detector to detect the stone and make them turn the when they make a square. Then the get push down
tye ron observer in the location they coming from, then piston behind, both pointing down. first piece will activate the piston and push nothing. but after that, every time they move the piston will push down
I like that hopper texture... can you upload it as a single mc pack that will work with bedrock? Btw the chickens will die due to new mechanics in bedrock... the baby chickens will get hit by the eggs and jump a little... they touch the lava then die... I literally spent hours trying to fix it by using different height blocks... none work... hoping you make a new one...
Pleaseeee make a simple train station with some automatic features. Thank you
I wonder if you could put a dispenser her to feed the chickens thus speeding up the system
Keeping it simple blaze farm pls I have to make one soon in my world
Prowl already has one I built it it’s really good for how simple it is
I'll probably redo this soon
@@masterdyl7100 I know but he can also teach how to make a blaze farm and how to turn it into double blaze farm I have managed to find one
This is very helpful!!:)
I tried this for the recent full version and is working. However, for the new beta, last time i checked, baby mobs have a bit of a taller hitbox. The baby chicken will be hit by the lava. Even the baby cows will not fall through with a 1 and a half space block. I dont know about the new beta today but i would just like to let you know. Hopefully, i'm wrong.
Can always test different blocks to achieve hopefully the same thing. Thanks for the info!
Hello Prowl, any chance of doing a simple gunpowder farm?🤞
Can you plz do a villager breeder plz
why do the chickens burn sometimes on the wrong side?
What it the hoper texture park you use and is it for the Xbox as well ????
Could you possibly make a raid farm?
love how this video has no dislikes
Did the cramming die off at 25 stop?
Does it still work in Java 1.18?
As of 1.16.40 observers detect stem changes on pumpkins and melons. Thought I’d share that bit of good news!
I really want to stop the wrong chicken from burning problem please help me
If you build this one you won't have that problem. It happens when you have a hopper right above the dispenser
I built it that way maybe the glass allows lava to burn when you updated the chunk
Does it work on bedrock? Ik im late 😅
Day5 of asking prowl for the texture pack for the hoppers
In bedrock tweaks there is one there
I will check it out thanks for the help @Cader Trow
Why do much redstone
