Yes! This advent calendar is the best! You're literally doing every small farm I've ever wanted to build! And you never disappoint! Thank you Silentwisperer!
Just FYI, the crimson nylium version, if you compost all the crimson roots, you get a bit more than 25% more bonemeal than what you spend. I ran a few tests with 1, 4, and 8 stacks of bonemeal and they were all consistent.
I have had this running for about 10minutes and already had to build a new set of composters to keep up with the output, I have yet to put any fungus through the composters, it wasn't long ago I was saying to my hubby and kids that I needed a system to keep up to the bonemeal I use, thank you Silent, by far the best bonemeal farm ever, huge thanks.
Great farm. A simple work of art. I built the crimson fungus type. I did have to make a few adjustments. Presumably due to lack in my world the water would not retract about 1 in 4 times. Had to devise a pulse extender of sorts to increase the duration of the red stone signal going to the dispensers. Also added a complex sorting system to distribute the output as evenly as possible over 14 composters. The result was so cool. I never turned it of again. It just ran all the time, producing more bonemeal than it consumed. It never broke - until 1.18. Now, it appears, the rates from crimson fungus has dropped sharply and sadly the farm now consumes more bonemeal than it produces. I feel like crying...
Same experience here. Crimson fungus just lost something special. I wonder if anyone can say whether the flower config has been equally nerfed. If not, was it ever a good bonemeal producer in the first place? I’d love to know! Anyway, go vote on MCPE-149516 to fix this!
Just FYI, I put my fungus-to-bonemeal farm in an area with a lot of other farms, sorters, silos and thus a lot of other things competing for pending tick updates... And I found that the water dispensers would glitch out fairly often: they'll pull the water back into the bucket... but also randomly leave a couple of the water sources still there. Turning off the farm and cycling the water dispensers (I used a wooden button on an observer face to quickly power the dispensers twice) would *always* fix it. My fix was to ensure the hoppers had time to pick up every item (or nearly every item) before pulling the water back and running the pistons/bonemeal again. For that, all I needed to do was double the pulse extender from two comparaters to four. Since that was done, I haven't had a single water glitch. If my calculations and stopwatch are correct, this increases the water dispensed time from ~3 seconds to ~6. If your farm never glitches, this will reduce bonemeal/hour a bit. But with this fix, I found that I was able to significantly increase the time on the hopper clock (3x longer or more), which improves the rates. Longer hopper clock => more items (and more bonemeal) per cycle => more lag towards the end of each cycle. But as soon as those items are snatched up by the hoppers that lag goes away. You just need to be sure your hoppers and composters can keep up with the increased load. The longer pulse extender makes it all work. If you are the only person online (or it's a single player world), it might be worth increasing the lag for faster bonemeal rates. I found that the items weren't evenly distributed to all of the hoppers nor all of the composters, so if you increase the hopper clock by a *lot*, you might eventually need to improve that in order to keep up with the item output..
Built this because I'm tired of having to manually plant and bonemeal flowers every time I need dye. I build with a lot of concrete blocks nowadays and this farm seems necessary. Can confirm it still works as of December 2022
I knew a turtorial for a lag machine would be part of the advent calendar, i can always count on silent for any redstone build I see it crash the server using entities and pistons making it mad reliable
Soi thought you should know, I built this machine in the latest 1.19 update, and all 7 dispensers were doing the thing where the water comes out at the wrong time, so did the slab trick you mentioned at the end, and it fixed the problem
Thanks for this. Kudos to you for posting. Took some effort to build in survival because I built it high enough to put 2 Composters under it because I want this primarily for bone meal. You're explanation and comments were extremely easy to follow and for such a complex build I got through it with no hiccups. I built it with Crimson Nylium and the return on investment for bone meal was as advertised. So, Thanks!
I like how after a few seconds of trying, silent had to cut out the rest of him trying to put a repeater on the block he's standing on in a 2 tall area Edit: at 22:40 if you wanna see it
Was looking for a bonemeal farm & Silent comes to the rescue once again😀. Just finished building a Crimson & Warped next to each other and it works perfectly thank you for the tutorial😃. I’m going to be hooking the output up to an item sorter and auto bonemeal maker.
Tips to consider after building this (Crimson) farm: -Instead of using two double speed unloaders connecting to a single chest (which allows for an unnecessary 4-speed collection chest that will overflow easily), use at least 7 double chests with 7 double speed unloaders (the hoppers will keep up). One double speed unloader for EACH single chest. -Connect each chest to two composters (14 in total) or MORE. (The farm will eventually get backed up now to approx. 4 hours) -Put a solid block (glass, etc.) above any exposed hopper transporter to prevent contamination during the building process. -LIGHT UP YOUR FARM to prevent mob spawns inside! (I use four shroomlights at the glass ceiling). Basic mob drops, like arrows, that flow down into your hopper connecting to your composter will slow down your farm and create a clog. -USE SLAB OR GLASS above any exposed solid blocks around your farm! Keep those mobs from spawning! -Consider turning off your farm before leaving chunk(s), my dispensers were kept on after I returned. Best of luck! :) also thank you Silent for this tutorial. This is my 4th farm of urs on my skybase!
@@stuartstirland8730 hey! i connected 8 (of 14) composter to a dropper elevator (with my own anti-hopper overflow, lmk it u want the details) that runs back to the 2nd dropper of the main bonemeal input. the 6 other composter connects to my tree and micro farm. 6/14 is approx 42% and since the farm runs with a ~40%+_~3% profit it should be just enough to run forever (connect 9 composter back to input to be more sure) i've built the second one, and i plan on building 2 more :) 1 of them will go entirely to bamboo farm & 1 to sugar cane. best of luck!
Hey do you know what to do with the blocks on the left of the main farm, since I can't place the pistons alongside the others and if I removed them I mess with the clock
Duuuuudddeee. So I have now learned why you check the comments before you build something. I just built this thing as a bonemeal farm only to notice that it wasn’t working and then I checked the pinned comment -_- Still a great fungus farm though!
I have to tell you a silent I am really ungrateful for your channel. I learned redstone from several Java players and youtubers. But as you know the stuff they tissue doesn't always translate over into bedrock. So having a resource like your channel really is good I appreciate every video you do
I actually need those seeds. For your mass industrial villager breeder, I never have enough seeds, and I caould never find any flower farms that also gave seeds. This is perfect. Thanks.
Silent I love your farms very much, I might start playing Minecraft again just to build your cool farms. (I’ve been playing mobile games as they’re easier to play in a short time and I’m a student)
running v1.18.2 bedrock I read the comments before and this sounded great. I went ahead and built it with 100% self feeding compost. Starting with a a single stack of bonemeal. After I notices a serious lack in bonemeal production I read further in the comments. Finally finding comments that confirmed my fears. This farm no longer has any form of profit.
I don't want to make a bee farm, so I just made a giant greenhouse that is a collection of every single flower I find I have a dozen bee hives that I found when journeying my world and I can make a ton of bees and I can easily make more and expand I am also working on creating artificial nether biomes and I need a lot of bonemeal since I have to transform each block by block and I plan to make a Forrest of mushrooms Point is, this is probably the best contraption yet as it will aid my world building and I thank you for that
I think there's a step missing. I'm seeing the flooding pulse extender being built at 12:57 but left incomplete (missing a block and some dust). Still incomplete at 14:11 Then at completed at 16:58. Thankfully the "hood up" view at 3:23 shows what is missing. This explains why some people can't get this to work I think, as without this pulse extender the base doesn't pause and therefore the water doesn't flow. I'm actually surprised I don't see this step documented anywhere (I know RUclips doesn't let you edit videos, but titles/comments should be ammended imo - PieIsTheBest not withstanding). :-) Thanks Silent!
occasionally a water sorce gets left behind breaking the farm probably due to lag. All dispenser buckets are still full so a new water souce is generated. Us there any way to prevent this? Edit: I found a fix for this. If you only use 3 dispenser (one every 3rd block) there will be no infinite water sources forming making tjis farm lag proof. All items will still be pushed into water stream over time.
You should add bonemeal farm to the title Silent, I think that'll gain more interest. I came from the pickle farm hoping to make it a bonemeal farm I don't think I would have been here if not for your recommendation on that video for the bonemeal. Thanks for your designs and videos.
I've been working on a glass factory, and that super smelter came in handy and I've been needing a good dye farm..made a few myself in a redstone world but I've been dissapointed..you probably just saved me..all hail the mighty Piggo
I can't believe they finally fixed that annoying bug that caused a crash when using a dispenser with bonemeal on ground! I'll be making this farm ASAP! Love the tutorial as always! Keep up the great content!
The issue I found with your bug fix is that most items stay on the edge of the grass (flower version) and some others stay between the two water sources above the hoppers. I fixed the second issue by placing a hopper where the glass under the button should be.
I just built one side of this as well and 11 stacks of bonemeal turns into 9.5 stacks of bonemeal after composting as much as you can. I kept only 3 stacks of fungus and composted the rest and it still costs more. I plan on building the nether wood farm next so I believe having this one is necessary. Almost self sustaining but definitely not a bonemeal farm. 1.19.41.
I modified the farm by extending the dropper clock to more droppers to power an automatic refilling line under the bonemeal line with composters and a bonemeal collection chest under it, so when the bonemeal chest is full, it all goes back into the farm. So OP
I would love to see a video explaining enchantments and enchantment weights. There arent many video explaining this part of minecraft. Like how much each lvl of protection reduces damage
TIP: if you water keeps getting stuck and not getting removed this is because of infinite water sources. To solve this problem only put water into the left, right, and middle dispensers put nothing into the other dispensers. Respond if this helps
I just built this on my local world [xbox one-x) and in order to avoid creating an infinite water source I had to change the timings on 2 of the repeaters used to activate the water. I changed the repeaters from 3 ticks to 1 tick.
could you try and make a new bonemeal farm, cause I've tested it multiple times and when I put in 9 stacks of bonemeal, I get 5-6 stacks back, never more. Thanks for all the farms you make
but to be honest pls make a gold farm, even though it would involve killing your brotherin pls make a vid, btw love ur vids and very hyped for advent calender keep up the good work
For anyone that still doesn't know this is or gift from papa silent and also thanks for the world that is definitely not full of your contraption and farms
Tip for my laggy bedrock comrades. Sometimes a dispenser will misfire, and it's easily fixed by double tapping the same button from 16:05. If there's a better way to fix this, I'd be happy to learn, but I'm chalking it up to lag as my world is nearly one GB.
dude this is so creepy, i literally just finished my very poor quality flower farm that uses pistons. i thought it was adequate because there no tutorials to make a better one. then boom! silentwhisper to the rescue.
I like this design, however I created one already in my world. while It has a minecart underneath allowing it to always pick the flowers up, The bonemeal is still manual. I left one block of grass in the middle not moving to be able to farm a specific flower. I also hooked it up to a sorting system. Its one of my most complex Redstone builds that I've completed without searching things up on the internet. Although I might still build it for the nylium farms.
I made your moss bonemeal farm and made a line of hopper that connects to this farm. If you do that the moss bonemeal farm produces enough to supply this farm with bonemeal and itself simultaneously.
If you are expanding this ie flower and crimson farm, I assume you use the timing for flushing from the crimson farm? I built the crimson farm and expanding to a flower specific farm next to it. I'll see if it works.
who else remembers the bug that broke this kind of flower farm. literally everytime you bonemealed the bottom of grass you’d crash the world 👏🏻. luckily they fixed it :D
I was afk and came back to a pig inside the farm but he doesn't seem to be bothering anything soooo ... imma keep letting him shimmy around cuz its funny XD
So i ended up incorporating the silent item elevator from your video into this farm to make it self sustaining. I decided to stress test the build in creative by filling the entire system with bonemeal and letting it run. Somehow i ended up with a net loss of bonemeal. It's a crimson farm and i'm on version 1.17.30.
I'm having the same issue. I've managed to determine that it's being caused by the water flow not going as far as it's supposed to. Likely a repeater set wrong.
Hey silent if you want a really easy tutorial idea can you do a 2 by 2 ground door or just piston doors in general i suck at Redstone and the attempt that I made toke me an hour and more than a chunk of space.... (sorry if I'm bothering you hope you guys have had a good day drink some water)
So after a little bit of struggling on this farm (because i always do a mess when redstone is evolved regardless the channel i got the farm from) i finally discovered what i did wrong and now im profiting a lot from the crimson farm so i really thinking about make a large field of those farm.
If you bonemeal the flower (to produce that exact flower) is the flowers tile then set to that or does it keep it's og flower. Thanks again for the great content.

I can't believe they finally fixed that annoying bug that caused a crash when using a dispenser with bonemeal on ground! I'll be making this farm ASAP! Love the tutorial as always! Keep up the great content!
Aha i have been waiting for this farm eagerly thank u
Bro I don't know why mine isn't lining up but either way it worked like a charm it's one block off of your build in the video but still works thanks
glad its working:)
Hey dude thanks for all the farm vids keep up the good content
I modified the farm by extending the dropper clock to more droppers to power an automatic refilling line under the bonemeal line with composters and a bonemeal collection chest under it, so when the bonemeal chest is full, it all goes back into the farm. So OP
I would love to see a video explaining enchantments and enchantment weights. There arent many video explaining this part of minecraft. Like how much each lvl of protection reduces damage
This guys always commin in clutch
TIP: if you water keeps getting stuck and not getting removed this is because of infinite water sources. To solve this problem only put water into the left, right, and middle dispensers put nothing into the other dispensers. Respond if this helps
it did help
Thank you very much for this tip. It fixed my problem immediately
Yep worked great thanks
Thank you, you just saved my farm from explosion
Ty a a year later
Thx Silent for this farm
I just built this on my local world [xbox one-x) and in order to avoid creating an infinite water source I had to change the timings on 2 of the repeaters used to activate the water. I changed the repeaters from 3 ticks to 1 tick.
Mine did the same thing. Thanks for the fix method!
This is the best bone meal farm in history 😊
could you try and make a new bonemeal farm, cause I've tested it multiple times and when I put in 9 stacks of bonemeal, I get 5-6 stacks back, never more. Thanks for all the farms you make
Try his moss farm, it can be turned into a bone meal machine. I've just built the moss farm over the weekend, it's works marvelously
This one can not be fixed.
but to be honest pls make a gold farm, even though it would involve killing your brotherin pls make a vid, btw love ur vids and very hyped for advent calender keep up the good work
For anyone that still doesn't know this is or gift from papa silent and also thanks for the world that is definitely not full of your contraption and farms
Love Your Vids and it's fine to take brakes when you want
This is the best farm yet!
Tip for my laggy bedrock comrades. Sometimes a dispenser will misfire, and it's easily fixed by double tapping the same button from 16:05. If there's a better way to fix this, I'd be happy to learn, but I'm chalking it up to lag as my world is nearly one GB.
Do you know why the flush doesn't last long enough to push all drops into the hoppers?
Damn never been this early, but these advent Callander videos are amazing
Hey Silent from the crimson farm you get average ×1.5 bone meal so COOL
Can you please make an automatic gravity block duplicator because I have found out that the older one you have made dosnt work. Keep up the good work!
Yes please.
The real treat of this video is unexpectedly hearing the word "canoodle"!!!
dude this is so creepy, i literally just finished my very poor quality flower farm that uses pistons. i thought it was adequate because there no tutorials to make a better one. then boom! silentwhisper to the rescue.
Thanks I needed this
If you are expanding this ie flower and crimson farm, I assume you use the timing for flushing from the crimson farm? I built the crimson farm and expanding to a flower specific farm next to it. I'll see if it works.
Very very useful Farm all of you must try this one 🤜🤛
Thanks silent wisperer 😉
Dude. You. Are. A. God.
who else remembers the bug that broke this kind of flower farm. literally everytime you bonemealed the bottom of grass you’d crash the world 👏🏻. luckily they fixed it :D
12:06 This was "Etho's lab" hopper timer
He is the one who first used it btw :)
Hey , silent will you make a auto concrete maker . Love ur videos
I was afk and came back to a pig inside the farm but he doesn't seem to be bothering anything soooo ... imma keep letting him shimmy around cuz its funny XD
Just made this. works amazing (xbox series )
@@Vindt1984 it works now but the yield is too low. I plan on making the moss farm instead as my main source of bonemeal.
@@methos4866 Turned out it wasn't a repeater, anyway. Still having issues with the water flow, probably going to go the same route as you.
Haven't found any good ones lol or my Brian just doesn't comput with it do you know of any good ones?
Me after building this (warped fungus) : Search hoglin and place some warped fungus just to scare them lol
Thank you so much for being you.
So after a little bit of struggling on this farm (because i always do a mess when redstone is evolved regardless the channel i got the farm from) i finally discovered what i did wrong and now im profiting a lot from the crimson farm so i really thinking about make a large field of those farm.
I would love to see a gold farm :)
If you bonemeal the flower (to produce that exact flower) is the flowers tile then set to that or does it keep it's og flower. Thanks again for the great content.
