I really appreciate tutorials like this. When you start to explain why and how components work, it allows redstone novices like me a chance to experiment and expand on the ideas. Thank you.
Agreed I’m a complete noob started a few months back for my son and am slowly picking up the actual uses of red stone so I can make fixes and adjustments myself and explaining the details of it helps a lot
This worked fabulously in my new 1.18 world! Thank you for the tutorial! I also made a switch to turn off the output so it doubles as an experience collector
I went underneath the output hoppers and put Redstone torches mounted on blocks directly under them, ran a Redstone line over the tops of those blocks and connected it to a switch off to the left side so it'll invert the signal on the torches. Had to use a repeater to increase the strength but it's been working great. It basically just switches it to manual removal of items from the furnaces.
Earned a sub with this one thanks chief, just got back into bedrock after a long time of Java because I have a lot of console friends. Never really did anything like this in years
Great video man. I like that it is actually doable in survival mode as well for people who want to earn achievements in Xbox still. I'll be building this one for sure, thanks man 🙂👍
Planned out my building to hold a giant smelter. Started building it out of brick.... ran out of brick and needed to smelt more clay balls. So now I am using a 24 array, sitting in the grass next to the build space, just to build the big one.
Good time to see this video. I just built one and hit a stone wall on how to get even distribution on the furnaces. Haven’t used a chest Minecraft in like 8 years.... I’ve been using a hopper minecart. Problem solved, thanks Prowl!
Side note. If you are using smokers and/or blast furnaces, don’t go bigger than 8 or so. It will finish the smelt before getting refilled, thus bringing the efficiency down.
this helped me alot, i watched so many videos and nothing worked and it used so much stuff. But then i saw your video and it was perfect i love it, thank you im subscribing🤩
This is great! I tweaked it a little for my build. I buried the track at the end. It stops under a double chest. The minecart has a hopper instead of a chest. This hides the implementation.
Yes I used this setup it took me a few days to get setup after I built my base and I'm running 15 furnace it's very nice and I'm using the the setup with the detector rail not as annoying as the lever I just push the button and walk away the system takes care of the rest very nice
........you know patience is a virtue. Because i just spent 4 hours doing it the first way you showed, knowing good on well that my base is to small to do all of that, when i could've just waited to the video 🤦🏾♂️🤣. And so other people won't make this same mistake 10:30
I work one ofm these into a storage sorter in every world I start usually 5 to 6 long one for gold, silver, cobble, glass and steak then a have a single one separate with just chest on hoppers for everything else just to do a quick dump of stuff not really relevant to what I need. Start with one of these and build the sorter around it as I expand. But your design is a little better than the one I came up with as I have a single chest hooked to the fuel with hoppers I manually feed definitely going to try to work in this design
I don't know if you figured this out yet, but you should be able to place the RS Detector Rail 6 blocks from the track end powered rail with the following sequence buried one block deep, starting directly under the detector and leading back to the end: RS Dust, RS Comparator, RS Repeater, Block, RS Torch on side of block, Block, RS Torch on side of block. This would leave that final RS Torch, which is under your end powered rail, normally off, and when the detector sees a load in the cart it lights up the dust, providing a signal to the comparator, through the repeater, to the block with the first torch on it, depowering it, which stops depowering the final torch via the block between them. The distance of the RS signal is the same, so the repeater at max delay should still work. I THINK the RS Dust getting powered through the block the detector rail is on works, but I'm not entirely sure and can't test it right now. Good luck, though. It's fun to play with RS mechanics.
Great tutorial overall but it sadly didint work for me :( I did everything step by step but the step at 8:50 just didn't work no matter what I did, the signal was just late all the time
Thank you for the explanation of the detector rail. I was wondering if you had a minecart loader unloader vid? I have looked but...YT...lol. If not may I suggest it for a future tutorial. I would really enjoy not only a good design of one but how it actually works. If not no worries I'll probably watch the next one no matter what. Again, thanks.
I did this it took me about 20 Minecraft days and night because I didn't sleep and I wasn't really focused on it I just realized I had the stuff and started making it
@@masterdyl101 Thank you download it works great only gives the indicators on the top no arrows on the side. but this will work for now, again thank you
Just recently ran into your channel, HOW DO YOU NOT HAVE TEN TIMES A MANY SUBS?? Great work, subtle, simple, well explained and well executed. Keep it up
How about an episode about all of the types of mine carts and rails. What they do and possible alternative uses. Also I don't think anyone has done an updated lighting video.
Beginner mistakes: 1. Bouncing the minecart back right after hopper. This way the last furnace will get fewer items/fuel than others, you should extend the track by at least one more block. 2. Calling a system that the user has to operate with TWO buttons "automatic". Honestly, when I see the word automatic, I assume it is a load-and-forget solution, like, I put items into two chests and get the result in a third one. On the upside: you properly explain how your redstone circuitry works, I appreciate.
I combined the first and second design using second design with Redstone system of the first and it smells iron twice as fast and gets atleast a stack in less than 10 seconds
I really appreciate tutorials like this. When you start to explain why and how components work, it allows redstone novices like me a chance to experiment and expand on the ideas. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Ye I agree

I've been waiting for this to post. Just finished my iron farm + villager trading hall from your video and it's working great.
Awesome!
I am blown away. I have been looking for a simple step by step super smelter. You are amazing. Thanks
Just finished this smelter it's too good and very slick in design!!
This worked fabulously in my new 1.18 world! Thank you for the tutorial! I also made a switch to turn off the output so it doubles as an experience collector
Do you just put a lever down near the collector chest? How do you do that?
I went underneath the output hoppers and put Redstone torches mounted on blocks directly under them, ran a Redstone line over the tops of those blocks and connected it to a switch off to the left side so it'll invert the signal on the torches. Great video man. I like that it is actually doable in survival mode as well for people who want to earn achievements in Xbox still. I'll be building this one for sure, thanks man 🙂👍
Thanks for this, I'm at a level on redstone I need to understand the components better. Also, I'm ready to build a good smelting system.
Glad it helped!
Thanks to you and blue jay I’m doing good on my world. Love watching you two.

“Place a temporary block there “
Places Netherite block
Thanks man, can't wait to try this. I have a massive build and don't wanna spend time manually loading and unloading furnaces.
Side note. If you are using smokers and/or blast furnaces, don’t go bigger than 8 or so. It will finish the smelt before getting refilled, thus bringing the efficiency down.

Great job on explaining how detector rails work
Didn't even know what they were before the channel (Detector Rails). Thanks for the video, I always use this one in my survival servers!
3:35 ignore this it’s a reminder for when I come back

I love how he tells u the steps but also the reason why he did things the way he did

I started a kind of smp and this is about to go at my world spawn and every single one of my bases!!!! Thank you very much!
Love the diorite crown molding
Haha I do that to see if it upsets anyone :)
Really appreciate it I made a 5 fernis system with a charcoal generator
Thanks man you helped me smelt my 7 stack of copper😂
The idea of the detector rail is genius!
Bro u deserve more subs man. This helped me soo much in my survival world! I'm definitely coming back to this channel for more tutorials! :D
We will get there! Thanks for the support!
this has great merit, I think I see how to fashion a compact auto-stop version also- going to be cake. (but we all know the cake was a lie)
The best how to build video I've seen

I made this and it works a treat, thanks for a great tutorial.
It’s a good tutorial but can you please put in what you need and how much you need of blocks next time please
it depends how how many smelters u want
i really like your tutorials and how you start to explain how the redstone works because i was an idiot in redstone ty
Man, I definitely need to build one of these! I’m still smelting everything the slow way lol.
Today is the day. Do it!
Very cool content, I'm gunna build it above my auto storage so the smelted blocks are automatically sorted,
Still works, nice and simple, easy to understand. Nice!

Rails are turning sideways on the hoppers!!! So aggravating.
Works amazing and only took me an 1 hours cuz of all the iron needed
The 24 furnace array is something i build in all of my bases. It uses this exact same setup and never fails.
Yes. I have a video on this coming out soon
First video I'm watching.Havent gotten 30 seconds in. Subscribed.
This helped me so much and you make it so simple!!!
I would have expected the redstone block to lock the hoppers. Thanks. Nice tutorial.
Great episode I love this new series you coming out
ty for this. I made it in my survival game. I had to do a little grinding but it works
I was wondering also, could you do the redstone system underground? Just to make the building cleaner in it's edges
Great video! Question: how do you stop the trap doors in front of the detector rail from activating? Mine open and close when the cart passes. 😅
You can place a redstone torch under it
Just what i needed, great tutorial!

Gud vid mate, definitely adopting that first design
Very underrated, keep grinding
Just set one up in my world. Didn't take long. 7 furnaces. Set up next to the lava farm so fuel is no problem
Love your vids
Thanks!
This channel is amazing. I just found it and subscribed
Thanks!
Good work, love the series.
Thanks!

Wow you are a true legend

Thanks Prowl
Nice, thank you for showing us this 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I can’t get the powered rails to get power by the red stone blocks what am I doing wrong
hey prowl what texture pack are you using for the hoppers to look that way? Great vid
Thanks, its a texture pack I had made, not available for download yet :)
You can probably get one just like this from bedrock tweaks just look it up

Awesome idea, thx…!
It works awesome!! Love it
Great smelter.
Glad you liked it
This works great, Thank you :)
How about some redstone bases?
awesome vid got mine built now working great :)
Going to build this tonight

I’m going to use this one I get back on.. I don’t know much about the rails.
Same 😂
Good Design
Famous question: would you be so kind to tell me what texture pack you are using? Thx!
using this to recover after a zombie villager took my armor and didnt drop it when cured!
Thank you this the easiest iv seen one
Thank youuu for this!!
this is anything but simple good gad
I love auto farms!
Automatic is fun!
this is amazing
Thanks!
Works great thank you
Could you do the furnace xp farm using the fish that foxy uses on tb
How about an episode about all of the types of mine carts and rails. What they do and possible alternative uses. Also I don't think anyone has done an updated lighting video.
Plz make a video on crepper farm which works in bedrock edition 1.16...
Thanks for the help
the minecart chest keeps going even tho there’s no items in it. how can i fix this?
make sure the "Resting" spot is not powered. that needs to be dark unless it gets a signal from the short circuit.
Beginner mistakes:

I leaved my like and sub, nice video, hope you the best

What kind of mic does he use? Amazing audio quality.
Rode nt-usb
@@Prowl8413 thanks!
I modified it so one switch operates both minecart chests and I even added a on off switch for the auto collect mode
32 year old dad trying to demolish my 5 year old In a build off. 🤞 . Cheers from 🇨🇦.
The red stone is not turning on both the repeater nor the comparator for me. Therefore it's not making the cart go back and forth. What do I do?...
WOW NICE!
The rails keep connecting any tips?
Im also finding the same problem, anybody?

Is there a way to stop the hoppers on the last stack so that you can take that stack out of the furnace to collect the exp?
