Hey guys not sure if some mechanics have changed or if realms lag is the issue but if your double piston extender isn't retracting the solid block all the way on your oak switch place an observer facing the upper piston and a redstone line into the lower piston. It should review the lower piston and grab the solid block
THIS IS HISTORY: EFFICIENT AND EASY TREE FARMS IN BEDROCK EDITION!!!! Note: I know there are other good tree farms in Bedrock Edition, it's a joke, please try and understand that
Just chose to build this farm, works great. I even added a cube maker you can also use to create and stack concrete blocks. The only issue i have is with the safety system to block the farm once you reached the max lenght as i still have to properly understand the redstone of this build. Now i'm just making a bell ring, but if someone added this feature on this farm, i would be glad to know to which section i should wire the system. Thanks everybody and of course thanks Silent, always the best :)
Tested it on my creative world yesterday, works greatly. What can break this farm is spamming saplings , I recommend watching the trees and make sure they are pushed correctly first then plant your next sapling.
I'm not sure but with the current mechanics a simple general mob farm would work... I'll make one soon and I'll update you on the drop rate of gunpowder from there
They are in the process of changing mechanics that affect them he probably won’t unless he knows it doesn’t have a chance of breaking in a few weeks. Also, they unfortunately need to be big for really good rates, but if you want you can make only part of one if you just need it for rockets or something.
Y'all haven't experienced true loss until you get halfway done building this thing and two creepers sneak up on you to blow up all the redstone infrastructure.
if you are asking for a creeper farm to use tnt for the trees then im sorry to break it out to you but tnt doesnt have 100% droprate on bedrock so you will lose more than half of the blocks broken by tnt
@@jasonmok8072 he already has an old video, just use common sense for some of it like the normal trident killer design with redstone torches and observers I built it then we needed a backup on the realm for other reasons but it worked fine
I’m certain if I spend enough time I can figure out a mechanism to make a cube for chopping purposes. However I’m certain you could design one in a tenth of the time it would take me. Any chance you could include some explanation with good pictures if not step by step instructions when you upload ghast blaster video? If not I understand. One last suggestion don’t race through the step by step instructions. I know it’s easy for you but for us newbies I can end up pausing and rewatching a clip multiple times because you went so fast I missed orientation of observers or repeaters or block placement. You are the best with giving great supply lists. I love how you include them in the video comments. So much easier than showing an inventory with all the needed materials which seems to be common in RUclips tutorials. I’ll add more to this novel in another video.
Put video at 0.75 if you want; also I agree a 12x12 cube maker is actually really difficult, the observers fire twice if you don’t do any complicated redstone
@@MoonBread_ nah you can use a torch on a block to power the redstone lines for the piston wall. Plus, fixing that observer double firing thing is actually pretty easy to fix
Great tutorial! Built a simplified version for birch in Bedrock 1.18 survival. The comparator detector and the piston layout in the video are amazing. This tree farm is not simple. Took me 2 days to understand everything but the result was satisfying. Thanks for the video!
@@samuellabelle4474 I didn't try acacia. My simplified version did not have the multi-cycling and the height-limiting functions. I reduced the number of dispensers to one, rewired some redstone, rotated the output window by 90 degrees, and added an overflow protector.
The area of the farm where a two tick repeater feeds 2 four tick repeaters into a observer, change the two tick to a three tick and that should fix it.
I was able to get it working for everything but the acacia. For some reason, when I turn on the acacia circuit, it does cycle multiple times, but not all the wood is moved to the center and often the sticky pistons end up moved instead of the wood. It seems like the timing is not quite right but I've gone over it more times than I can count and it looks like it matches the video exactly. I suppose it's still possible that I missed something but it sure doesn't look like it. I love it for all the other trees, but acacia seems to break the farm. Maybe I need some more ketchup on the mac & cheese. :)
I have a friend who is one of those math guys who plans out his builds. When I say plan, I mean gather enough resources to build the structure to where when he is done, he won’t have blocks/components left. He never crafted red stone based items. So a couple of days ago, I showed him this list and told him to get resources within a week. He said no problem, accepting the challenge. But when I told him the requirements for every block. His jaw dropped
Awesome tutorial, you explained everything, unlike others who don't explain the workings very refreshing and very efficient build, I'm no master with redstone but I'm always scared of messing with tree farms as well. For a first build, props dude. Subscribed :)
Holy cow... This took a couple of scratches to the head, a couple of brain explosions, and all of my braincells to disappear... But at the end it was totally worth it 😅 Thank you so much lol EDIT: And yes, this still currently works :)
It still works but for oak trees, they can occasionally spawn a bees nest which is annoying since they fight you when it is moved, just something to point out!
Is it supposed to be this satisfying when you make a tree farm? THANK YOU SILENT for this WONDERFUL and easy to understand tutorial, it's so easy to understand what you're saying and doing and I absolutely love it. You're an amazing RUclipsr, and thank you again!
Hey silence. I just made this machine on my main world and it works beautifully except for one thing. Whenever the tree grows, it only ends up pulling the bottom log and leaves the other stuff floating. I’m not sure how to fix it so if you can get back to me it would be great! Thanks for this video
I had the same issue due to an error I made - I placed a column of sticky pistons where I should've placed observers. I could also see this issue happening if any of the observers that are placed next to the pistons are facing the wrong way. Hopefully this helps :)
I built your slime farm and it worked excellent, just got done building this farm and it is another amazing farm, I saw your comment saying acacia mode has an extra log that can come around and I've had it happen but it's a price I'm willing to pay
@@firegodessreiko I've solved my issue one of the redstone lines on the first wall of double piston extenders was not connected for some reason. I hooked it up and working fine now.
Just a heads up Silent says stuff about chunk borders but you don't have to worry about that, I tested between and on a single chunck border and it always worked fine
17:54 when I did this it acted like a clock and keeps activating the pistons that sends the wood out of the farm do you know what might be wrong with it

The second layer of wood isn’t getting moved, anyone else having this issue in the newer version on Minecraft Bedrock Edit: Nevermind I placed an observer in the wrong direction
Farm works great on the current update except for acacia trees. When I try to farm acacia trees sometimes it doesn't get all the logs which causes pistons to be pushed out of place. Every other tree variant works fine except for this type so I'm trying to figure out what the issue is.
I can't believe I manage to make this farm! I had to do it twice because the first time I messed up just one thing and the rest didn't work. But now it's working great! This is really complex, you have to follow every step carefully. And no mistakes will be made. (Sorry for the bad inglish)
I’m so sad rn. I put the exact amount of items in a shucker box and built this, but when I was done I had one extra red stone dust. My machine is broken and idk where the one piece goes 😭😭
@@charlieanderson5490 Yes, Fortune on something to break the Leaves with is very necessary for Dark Oak Sapling return. Besides, harvesting Dark Oak by hand makes it special. And it doesn't really grow too tall to do easily.
Update Mar 26th, 2022: it works but you must make some changes to the redstone timing. Make sure to switch out the burnout clock with the comparator clock and switch out the pressure plate with a lever ( as seen in Silent's UPDATE video pinned in the comments). Then change the right wall timing to four ticks as shown in the video at 19:25. Next, the pistons of the back wall have two timing repeaters, place the left repeator on 3 ticks and the right on 4 ticks (which will help avoid the problem where the front pistons of the back wall are not retracted). Next, since you adjusted that timing you must now adjust the timings on the back left log extractor which will help the back wall pistons from being sucked out by the log extractor. In the back left corner you will have three repeators in a row which add up to 10 ticks (2+4+4), add one more tick (3+4+4). This will delay your slime pistons of the extractor. Though now we have to delay the normal pistons which then push the logs out of the machine. There is no pretty way to do this. Remove the observer and solide block and branch off the stair step with a repeator on one tick going into the pistion with the glass tower. That should make the machine mechanics work properly. The acacia mode also needs additional ticks. Below Jeeyul says he was able to fix the timing with 20 ticks on the second cycle and 40 ticks on the third cycle. Though, I was able to get good results by adding to repeators on 4 ticks each to the third cycle only. Just extend the length of the third cycle by one block and add two repeators facing the opposite directions. There are some other issues. Oak trees grow gnarly trees even with the piston extender. You must turn on the extender, add one more block to the extender and remove the top sticky piston from the left wall. You only need to do this for oak trees. Then when you want to do other trees, add the sticky piston back and remove the extra block from the piston extender in the roof. Your rates will be low when using oak trees due to this issue. I made a cube maker (which you can find out how to make in Silent's Azalea Tree Farm tutorial) and had issues with the bottom row of my tree columns disappearing some of the time, thus the smart piston wall wouldnt work and it would back up the machine. So instead of using a redstone tourch on the far end of the cube maker, I used an observer column with an observer stabilizer and then led the restone into the wall of pistons. The right (open) side of your cube maker might need multiple redstone tourches in a row, because of the same problem, to read when to stop the bonemeal dispensers and tell you that it is time to harvest the logs. I made Silent's Azalea Tree Farm first but it uses a ton of bonemeal and I didn't think it was worth it, plus the timings weren't working and I couldn't fix it. I am playing on a Realm in Bedrock.
iOS v1.18.12 Your solution solves the problem that occurs when both pistons simultaneously push two logs placed side by side on the same layer in opposite directions before one is pulled. This was a problem I had been hanging on all night. Thank you very much. I also had to set the repeat circuit for the acacia tree to 20 ticks (5 repeaters) and 40 ticks (10 repeaters) respectively. It's natural because the whole cycle is longer, but I'll mention it for other challengers. Burnout issues do happen occasionally, but I used the original burnout clock as is, because planting seedlings without waiting for full operation saves bone meal. Thanks again.
Hi ! I don't know anything about redstone so I am kind of lost. Around 10:30 one of the redstone torches just turns off for whatever reason. Do you know how to fix it ?
@@healthyvirus2815 that torch is part of the burn out clock. Replace the entire burn out clock with a comparator clock. There is a pinned video above on how to do that.

hey, please help me to find out why i have a problem with this farm. whenever im trying to plant a second tree it wont grow because there are leaves that prevent him from doing so. is the farm supposed to clear all the leaves? because mine isnt. thank you :)
because the output area the pistons didn't want to stay in the same place. and I tested changing the repeaters but it didn't work. i also think i didnt put the tree farm in a chunk:(
My initial clock that should be active when I step on the pressure plate doesn't work... I have no idea why, i think I followed everything right? The clock seems to turn off by itself when first constructed and never works again after
Update: logging off for a few min seemed to fix the issue. took a couple of tries, but if anyone else experiences this issue i would try the same thing

Hey guys not sure if some mechanics have changed or if realms lag is the issue but if your double piston extender isn't retracting the solid block all the way on your oak switch place an observer facing the upper piston and a redstone line into the lower piston. It should review the lower piston and grab the solid block

I’ve never seen one that works this way. This is kinda awesome!
Lol it’s just a wall of pistons with a detection system
Put video at 0.75 if you want; also I agree a 12x12 cube maker is actually really difficult, the observers fire twice if you don’t do any complicated redstone
@@MoonBread_ nah you can use a torch on a block to power the redstone lines for the piston wall. Plus, fixing that observer double firing thing is actually pretty easy to fix

@@samuellabelle4474 I didn't try acacia. My simplified version did not have the multi-cycling and the height-limiting functions. I reduced the number of dispensers to one, rewired some redstone, rotated the output window by 90 degrees, and added an overflow protector.

@@24voltsdc87 you sweet mfer I was hating silent so much
I was able to get it working for everything but the acacia.
So, I made this farm in 1.21 and it works excellenty I really recommend building this one because it uses a lot less bonemeal then other tree farms..

How do you stop the pistons from being pulled into the tree line on acacia mode?

When are you going to do a ghast blaster tutorial
Works perfectly, gonna add a tnt dispenser outside the farm for it to be fully automated
I am playing on a Realm in Bedrock.
iOS v1.18.12
Your solution solves the problem that occurs when both pistons simultaneously push two logs placed side by side on the same layer in opposite directions before one is pulled.
