    Love this bike! glad I bought it back in July and looking at the website it appears that it has gone up again? now its at $700.00. Still, I have to say that I would pay that amount for this bike because it is such a fun bike to ride! Coming from an old Hardrock Specialized MTB, which I still have, this feels so great and new! If you can find this bike, I would certainly recommend it. Love the big tires too and the 1x drivechain. This is a good channel by the way!

      Well thanks again for your comment and I'm glad to answer any questions. We have been lucky here at Biloxi Bicycle Works to be able to get our hands on some of these bikes. We did have a waiting list and most of these were my friends wanting to buy luckily I was able to put several of them in the hands of people who live locally and now we have a great group of riders and this bike really makes it fun for us to do multi-surface rides instead of just having to be on the pavement all the time. Good luck in your search and if there's anything I can do please let me know I'll be glad to

    I actually bought this one (L model) and got it delivered yesterday. It was hard to get hold off it. They were still flying off the shelves at my retailer’s shop. So I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to buy one. They were gone at the same second they arrived. The only ones left was the bikes for “not that tall people”).
    In Europe the company Specialized has their stock in The Netherlands so when my retailer was expecting a new delivery of some +80 bikes, a guy from the shop called me up and said: “It is on its way”. So I placed my order. 😊
    I’ve had Specialized Hybrid earlier l but that one had 27 gears and there’s no use for it. This 8 gear choice seems useful.
    Anyway. The snow lays 30 cm (1ft) thick here in Stockholm, so the bike sits in its box and I’m waiting for spring.
    It seems as a damn good bike for the money (6,990 SEK or $651) and I bought the “GLOSS ARCTIC BLUE”, and it looks pretty awesome.
    Keep on biking!

    Got one of these last month. Good bike. My only criticism would be the control cable for the rear derailleur is routed along the bottom bar (due to the offset join of the top bars at the saddle) - and as a result the inner heel of your right foot can catch it as you peddle. I’d prefer to have it routed thru the top bars - well away from your feet.

    In Italy (or in Europe I think) the available colors are black or red, I have the totally black one, love it.
    I think that 600 euro is a good price for this kind of bike, and I had a 10% discount from the bike shop (physical store).
    My only dislike is for the grips, I felt a little bit unconfortable with the shape of the grips, I changed it with a pair of specialized trail grips wich I personally prefer.
    A further consideration is that probably I'd rather have the 9 speed like in the X3.0, instead of the 12t of the X2.0 the X3.0 has the 11t and the 13t (and the X3.0 has also the clutch in the derailleur wich I don't feel the need).
    So in the future when it will be the time to change the chain or cassette probably I will put the 9speed advent cassette; the derailleur of the X2.0 is compatible, I will need the 9 speed advent shifter (price on line less or more 20€), the 9 speed advent cassette (price on line less or more 35€), the chain. But is only a plus, and personally I would not have bought the X3.0 spending 230€ more only for an alluminium fork, one more gear and a slightly better brake system (I think that promax f1 brake work fine and are absolutely adequate for this kind of bike).
    I love my bike, I like it aesthetically and it is a pleasure to ride (for sure I am not an expert biker).

    • @RoissyAngel
      @RoissyAngel 4 года назад

      Are you certain - I thought that they had some models with a Hi-Ten fork, then one model with an alum fork followed by the more expensive ones with carbon forks.
      If it is a Hi-Ten fork then I am surprised that the bike weighs under 12kg - 25 pounds.
      Anyway, how are you finding the bike weight-wise - the hi-ten fork would put me off as I would assume the bike was heavy with such a fork.
      Edit:
      My mistake - the X 3.0 has the alum fork.

  • @RoissyAngel
    @RoissyAngel 4 года назад +2

    I am considering one of these as a possible e-bike conversion using a tongsheng motor.
    Edit:
    My mistake - the X 3.0 is the one that I am considering. It comes with an alum fork. The 2.0 comes with a hi-ten steel fork. I am very surprised that this X 2.0 weights just 25 pounds considering that it has a hi-ten steel fork. I assumed it would be much heavier with a steel fork.

    • @stefanostefano9439
      @stefanostefano9439 4 года назад +2

      The cassette has 8 cogs (12-15-18-21-24-28-34-42), the shifter is a 8 speed, the derailleur is for 8 or 9 speed, so only the derailleur is 9 speed but you have 8 cogs...all about advent is explained in Microshift website.

    • @TheBicycleRider
      @TheBicycleRider  4 года назад +1

      That's a great question and I have done quite a bit of climbing on this bike without problem. I'm not a hugely powerful rider but with the gearing on this bike I should say the wide range gearing on this bike It really does climb fabulously! It has a good geometry to keep traction and just seems to zip up hills. I like taking this bike on the gravel where DOT doesn't control the grades as much as I'm paved roads and this bike really does fly uphill. I have also used it to commute back and forth to work over the bridge I'm very windy days so I have had to use the climbing gears to just spin up and I think specialized has nailed the gear combination on this bike.

      Wow great question both bikes you mentioned are very good The Sirrus xit's just very hard to get a hold of at the moment but I would almost consider you taking a ride on the roll, if you're looking to lose weight the role is comfortable yet fun to ride sometimes the key to losing weight is being able to enjoy the ride of the bike so you do it more often. If you can get your hands on a roll don't hesitate just buy it ride and smile and your weight will fall off while you're having fun. Please keep us in the loop to what you get we'd love to hear a success story

    I am trying to find 2020 Specialized Sirrus X 2.0 online on Specialized website and local stores in Austin. It is out of stock. Where else can I buy this one?

      I just bought a small black sirrus x 2.0 on Thursday July 9th 2020 at the Bikebarn in College Station Texas. They had the black one that I bought and a white one in small. The white one looks really nice,I kinda regret not buying it.
      I would call then asap. They will hold it over the phone with a 25%deposit over the phone.

    Hello, can someone help me decide what size I should buy I am 170 cm tall.

    • @sergio75ny1
      @sergio75ny1 4 года назад

      Specialized recommends a small if you are 158cm-165cm and a medium if you are 165cm-175mm for hybrids/commuter bikes.
      Google Specialized sizing guide.

      I live in Houston,Tx and called and went to multiple bike shops and found only two in the extra large size. I'm a small. One of the sales person was telling me that they sold more bikes in the last tree months than they did all last year. It makes sense considering all gyms in the Houston area were closed. City's like NYC that depend solely on public transportation were seeing surges in bike sales. The sales person also told me that most manufacturing facilities in Asian countries closed down because of the pandemic.
      I finally found my size small Sirrus X 2.0 in College Station, Tx,about an hour and a half from Houston. I've been enjoying it for about a week now. I can see my self out growing the perfomance of the components but everything on this bike is totally upgradeable. It comes with an internal front derailleur cable guide if you decide to upgrade to a front derailleur in the future. I found the seat a little uncomfortable but I'm sure its because I haven't been on a bike for years. I'm sure bike shorts with padding will help. I would absolutely recommend this bike for the money ($600). The fork is made of steel, not aluminum like the video says. I would also recommend calling up bike shops in smaller towns. All of the bike shops in the Houston area literally only had about 20% of there normal inventory and alot of it was high end expensive bikes.
      Ride safe and good luck finding one.
