2024 anyone? This is KEXP’s best concert and I’ve listened to them all. I listened to this right after it was posted all those years ago and revisit every month because it’s so damn good.
Lucius came to the dining hall when I was at SUNY Buffalo. Played a late evening show. Maybe 20 souls in attendance. Thankfully I was one of them. Really touched me in the midst of a tumultuous personal time. I almost walked out when they sang "Go Home". Like, whatever you say
Every time I think I have a favorite song by them, I listen again and another one stands out. Right now it's Tempest, but last week it was How Loud Your Heart Gets...
was a dj for many yrs in my 20's, no one has impressed me in the music industry for over 20 plus yrs ,until i ran across Lucius accidentally over 2 yrs ago on utube! I have watched the full version live KEXP over 100 times since and it never gets old! All i can say is Amazing! THANK YOU LUCIUS and pls pls pls know you are LOVED!
0:00 Go Home 4:42 Don't Just Sit There 8:55 Genevieve 14:05 Tempest 19:36 Until We Get There 24:49 How Loud Your Heart Gets 31:18 Wildewoman 36:18 Turn It Around 41:14 Two of Us
+LiviotheDoubleFang When the song starts at 23:49, you can read the title on the video...Never heard about this band until tonight, quite a good surprise for sure !
Wow. I don't care if yer into death metal or gangsta rap exclusively or whatever... I don't understand how anyone who listens with an open mind could resist these guys.
I didn't intend to, but I watched this entire video. I just couldn't stop. This is a spectacular performance. The fact that there are thumbs down on this only serves as proof beyond any doubt that there are people out there who've made a career out of hitting dislike on any and all videos.
I fell asleep watching you tube vids. I woke up to this band playing. I had worked a long night shift and really wanted to go back to sleep. But the vocal and melody of turn it around had me in its grip lol! Stayed up and listened to the whole set. Im a blues guitarist.. so that awsome slide guitar really got to me. This band is one of the greatest i have heard in a while!!!
I had lost hope in modern music and today's musicians until this. What the heck?! Utterly infectious and absolutely original. Proof that Rogers Waters knows what he's doing when he collaborated with these 2 songbirds. Love this band in every aspect.
Well, I've just finished watching/listening to this for the first time, beginning to end, and all I can say: sometimes you're just glad you live in the times you live in and the music this band makes brings that kind of gratitude. They said they were grateful to the audience there, but I have to say that I'm grateful to Lucius for the music and the performances. Really wonderful music! Now, make more CDs and also-perform in more places! (or not - do whatever you want - just keep making the music!)
I agree. I was an Indie kid in the late 80's early 90's. It makes me happy that great music is still getting made. People should give a listen to Courtney Barnett and Camera Obscura fantastic music.
Man that last song blew my mind! "Two Of Us On The Run" There are two of us on the run Going so fast, every doubt we had is coming undone And falling behind with everything we left there We held on for far too long And now we pass so many people on the road They could come along, I wish they'd been told They may call it a shot in the dark From what we know, it's not unheard of And we'll one day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now Our favorite parts are what we'll keep Ornamental parts of love and parts of memories So everything else has room to grow 'Cause in better light, everything changes So we can one day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now There's no race, there's only a runner Just keep one foot in front of the other There's no race there's only a runner 1, 2, 3 even when you get tired Just keep one foot in front of the other There's no race, no ending in sight No second too short, no window too tight Just turn off the lights when you leave 'Cause we've got everything we're gonna need We're on the run, we're on the run, we're on the run child We gotta run, we gotta run, we gotta run child One day tell our story Of how we made something of ourselves now One day tell our story Of how we made something We made something of ourselves
Lucius is definatly one of the best newer bands I have listened to in a very VERY long time. They have an excellent musical presence that most music acts today just don't have; I can safely say I think I am becoming a true fan of Lucius.
I just discovered this. Normaly absolutely not my stlye of music but these guys...absolutely genius. Glad im still brave enough to think outside the box we usually fell in way to fast! Thx KEXP for distributing such awesome musicians!
It's like the audience was so stunned by the performance of Go Home that they had to digest and absorb what they had just heard. A full 10 seconds went by before the applause started. My favorite version of Go Home.
Living for "Genevieve" wow a lot of tension in that song fhewwww.... lord the emotion in that song... loved it you guys... beautiful... very intense!!! There's def some chemistry between drummer and the girls, especially one of the girls, good lord, idk what that is, but there's a story there... I can feel it!!! Beautiful.
Kind of like any band/artist/performer one "discovers": you want all the world to know so that they have all the success they want and yet you want them not to change because you just love 'em so much! Big fan here and hope the whole band is having a joyful time of things because they are bringing musical/performance joy where there has been a musical desert for too long! May they carry on - well, forever! Great music/band/performances.
Deeply impressive. Their attention to detail, their musicianship, and their melodic music mark them out as very different to so many modern bands. They remind me of Talking Heads. They are thoroughly professional and deserve to go places.
Saw them opening for The Decemberists in 2015. The two lead singers were dressed up like 1940s Moon Maidens from some cheapo serial and were using this same stage setup. At first I thought it was just terminal art damage, but then I really started getting into what they were doing. They were one of the best opening acts that I've been introduced to (as opposed to ones that I was already familiar with) that I've seen in over 40 years of concert-going.
Lucius Girls.. an example of lots of music inside her souls.. and backuped with lots of music study. They are so cute and her voice is infectious..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love these guys. Saw them at the Vancouver Folk Fest. I have watched this concert everyday since. Creative. Catchy. Addictive. Pop at it's best. Looking forward to another album.
Caught your act on the Carson Daly Show and loved it; bought your Wildewoman LP on iTunes then came here to RUclips to watch and listen while the download completes. Love your stage presence and upbeat energy. Thank You Lucius.
wow, saw them on a documentary on Dutch television about SXSW Downloaded their album and listening to "Turn It Around" over and over again and found out that's just a little part of the album, it's so good and so original. Love it: the music, their voices, their style WOW
I was playing Rock Band 4 and "Turn It Around" was the first song of theirs I heard. Kept playing it because I really liked it. Bought the album that night.
What a amazing group with voices that mix so perfectly. They are MAKING Music, not playing it. Using real instruments with real voices is such a concept today, and they do it perfectly. Even the vocals out in the audience with just a single microphone is such a work of art and pleasure for the ears. GREAT !
I saw them in September 2018 at the “Zonnehuis” in Amsterdam. A very fine, high quality architectonial location. Drove 380 km from Germany (one way) to see them.. And it was a GREAT concert!!!
Fantastic! Their voices are so glued together and the songs are creative. Super bright future for this crew. I really don't understand the video downvotes - just choose something else - why hate like that - Sheesh!
Another great band with a powerful sound. The two women harmonize beautifully and the innovation is super. Glad I find them. Wildewoman... they sound a little Scandinavian.
Along with Tuneyards, Lucius are re-defing band structure and use of percussion! They leave enough space for the music to breathe, and this elimination of unnecessary clutter lets the songs and melodies glisten! Mesmerizing! =:^)
+megistondimension Exactly! Their structuring is ecclectic by the usual standard, but it makes so much sense. I love how they've come together like this. They're a fantastic group with some beautiful music, and they make it fun and exciting in such a raw, untethered way.
Saw them for the first time on a sunny afternoon in England, End Of The Road Festival 2014, stunningly original and so talented, and such good musicians, I now have a new definition of Bliss.
This concert is so good that I'm listening it for the fourth time noun. Each of its moments is perfect, everybody is at the top of their game, refined music, full of energy.
Almost ten years and I'm pretty sure half the views are just from me. One of the best live performances ever
i'm the other half
Me too! My 13 year old would dance around the house at 3-4 to Genevieve - She absolutely loved it! Hahah crazy
Their loud/quiet dynamic is just...absolutely immaculate.
2024 anyone? This is KEXP’s best concert and I’ve listened to them all. I listened to this right after it was posted all those years ago and revisit every month because it’s so damn good.
The only thing that comes close is the rest of the KEXP live stuff Lucius did after this one.
My 6yo daughter is obsessed with this whole concert. I am too
I'm here on the regular. :D
Obviously needed to turn sixty to find this fine musicians! Great music, I like it very much!!🤩
65 for me...
I came here from their Goose sit-in and I'm a fan now. I dig it.
this is a watershed live recording. so glad they captured this
Every time I think I have a favorite song by them, I listen again and another one stands out. Right now it's Tempest, but last week it was How Loud Your Heart Gets...
How about today Sep 2023?
@rickl-hp1ih April '24 it's Feels Like a Curse
Oh my god, that intro to ‘Tempest’. So incredible.
Clicked on this by mistake. Couldn't stop watching. Great band.
Yeah same I didn't mean to click on them I'd never even even heard of this band and now it's one of my favorite bands
It was the beauty of serendipity.
The name is silly. And then you listen to them...
did the same! still here yrs later! Go figure! Peace to the ppl!
Doesn't sound like a mistake to me. Sounds like a awesome thing that should happen more often lol.
was a dj for many yrs in my 20's, no one has impressed me in the music industry for over 20 plus yrs ,until i ran across Lucius accidentally over 2 yrs ago on utube! Sound mix is absolutely 10/10.

Damn all these comments from 3-5 years ago an I’m sitting here like damn this is my first time hearing this!....I’m liking this.
I am completely obsessed with them
0:00 Go Home
4:42 Don't Just Sit There
8:55 Genevieve
14:05 Tempest
19:36 Until We Get There
24:49 How Loud Your Heart Gets
31:18 Wildewoman
36:18 Turn It Around
41:14 Two of Us
+LiviotheDoubleFang How Loud Your Heart Gets starts at 24:49, not 23:49...Please, can you do the correction, cheers !
+Joël DI DOMIZIO Oh ok. Wasn't sure at 23:49 if that was the intro for "How Loud Your Heart Gets" or the outro for "Until We Get There"
+LiviotheDoubleFang When the song starts at 23:49, you can read the title on the video...Never heard about this band until tonight, quite a good surprise for sure !
+Joël DI DOMIZIO Yeah.. but that doesn't necessarily mean that the songs starts at that exact moment that the title pops on the screen.
LiviotheDoubleFa
Wow. I don't care if yer into death metal or gangsta rap exclusively or whatever... I don't understand how anyone who listens with an open mind could resist these guys.
I clicked on this by accident and sat through the whole set. I love them.
Music is life
I didn't intend to, but I watched this entire video. I just couldn't stop. This is a spectacular performance. The fact that there are thumbs down on this only serves as proof beyond any doubt that there are people out there who've made a career out of hitting dislike on any and all videos.
2022 and still listening to this masterpiece.. love you lucius ❤️
Same. Good Grief is also great.
100%! All of their records are timeless and on heavy repeat in our lives.
I'm always surprised by people that bother to hit the thumbs down. 😏
This never gets tired. Lucius is the best live band out there. Full stop.
Seeing them in sacramento in march 2024. The wildewoman tour. I am so excited
I had lost hope in modern music and today's musicians until this. What the heck?! Utterly infectious and absolutely original. Proof that Rogers Waters knows what he's doing when he collaborated with these 2 songbirds. Love this band in every aspect.
don't lose hope!
Even after listening to this a million times, Two of Us gives me goosebumps every.single.time.
Well, I've just finished watching/listening to this for the first time, beginning to end, and all I can say: sometimes you're just glad you live in the times you live in and the music this band makes brings that kind of gratitude. Oi, Barnett **ROCKS**
My goodness gracious did I absolutely love that first tune.
How loud your heart gets. Jesus christ. Ecstasy. By far the peak of the show.
Every song (especially live) is a fuckin' gift.
best percussionists and vocals of the year! ! Luscious rock!!!!
Hands down my favorite new artist. Listened to this set about 30 times in the last few weeks. Totally crushing it.
Same, can't even attempt to pick which songs I prefer over the rest.
My favorite artist and thanks to sam sung commercial I found them.
So Music is still ALIVE and very well! Hope they come to Austria one day :-)
Love this band! Great performance. Hope we can catch up with them in Boston some time. What a great sound mix, KEXP. Sounds amazing.
Best "new" band in ages.
I'm just discovering them after seeing them back Roger Waters. What a breath of amazingly fresh music.
me too!!!
Me too... 😁
Same here.
same! saw him like a week ago, and I loved their vibe
1st band that has me excited since early 80"s!!!!!!!!!!!! go figure!
Man that last song blew my mind!
"Two Of Us On The Run"
There are two of us on the run
Going so fast, every doubt we had is coming undone
And falling behind with everything we left there
We held on for far too long
And now we pass so many people on the road
They could come along, I wish they'd been told
They may call it a shot in the dark
From what we know, it's not unheard of
And we'll one day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
Our favorite parts are what we'll keep
Ornamental parts of love and parts of memories
So everything else has room to grow
'Cause in better light, everything changes
So we can one day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
There's no race, there's only a runner
Just keep one foot in front of the other
There's no race there's only a runner
1, 2, 3 even when you get tired
Just keep one foot in front of the other
There's no race, no ending in sight
No second too short, no window too tight
Just turn off the lights when you leave
'Cause we've got everything we're gonna need
We're on the run, we're on the run, we're on the run child
We gotta run, we gotta run, we gotta run child
One day tell our story
Of how we made something of ourselves now
One day tell our story
Of how we made something
We made something of ourselves

Mane. been watching this since 2014 and I still get chills!!
Me too brother, me too.
I just discovered this. Normaly absolutely not my stlye of music but these guys...absolutely genius. Glad im still brave enough to think outside the box we usually fell in way to fast! Thx KEXP for distributing such awesome musicians!
GO HOME is a masterpiece.

Perfection !
I’m at a loss for words!
Last time that happened, it was 1972!!!!!!
My cheeks hurt from smiling through this entire video. Thank you.
Lucius always kills. In this era, they had one of the best supporting bands I've ever heard.
I somehow stumbled upon this performance again. I'm reminded of why I fell in love with Lucius.
Kind of like any band/artist/performer one "discovers": you want all the world to know so that they have all the success they want and yet you want them not to change because you just love 'em so much! Phenominal.Best group I have heard in a very long while. Very long while.
Brilliant live performance. Love the unusual arrangement.
Lucius is also my middle name. It's not one you see too often. Beautiful music and great performance. Glad I discovered this.
I love the slower version of Go Home. Beautiful! Their voices are really flawless.
Never seen anyone play drums and guitar at the same time! The harmonys are overwhelming. I die.
A very audibly and visually impressive band. Seriously love the aesthetic unity, but more importantly they sound incredible!
Great band! What a fresh approach! And i'm 2 years late viewing this. Tremendous!
Deeply impressive. Their attention to detail, their musicianship, and their melodic music mark them out as very different to so many modern bands. They remind me of Talking Heads. They are thoroughly professional and deserve to go places.
I first saw this band on this channel.Really I liked their music. Just a delight, very bright, cheerful and original music.
I AM IN LOVE WITH LUCIUS. WATCHED THIS ENTIRE PERFORMANCE FOR THE FIRST TIME AND I'M IN TEARS. Doesn't get any better than this.
I just love the dramatic pauses in Go Home, sends chills down my back.
I just discovered the cd in our library by coincidence. Can't stop listening.
This is so absolutely amazing I can't believe I haven't heard it sooner
most favorite when you love someone, you feel them across miles and miles
Had the privilege of listening to the girls at Roger Water's concert in Mexico City yesterday. I fell in love immediately.
Saw them opening for The Decemberists in 2015. The two lead singers were dressed up like 1940s Moon Maidens from some cheapo serial and were using this same stage setup. At first I thought it was just terminal art damage, but then I really started getting into what they were doing. Lucius Girls.. an example of lots of music inside her souls.. and backuped with lots of music study. They are so cute and her voice is infectious..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes! I watch it at least once every day 😊
Turn Around reminds me of early B 52! Luvn it
I just saw'll them last night opening for Tegan and Sara in Jacksonville! They were amazing!!! Love them.
I used to see Lucius play these little holes in Brooklyn a decade ago. I'm happy to hear them still making beautiful music.
They make it all sound so effortless when it is anything but! So, so good! I’m hooked!
I'm not sure I could go on without you KEXP. Never stop doing what you do!
wow, saw them on a documentary on Dutch television about SXSW
Downloaded their album and listening to "Turn It Around" over and over again and found out that's just a little part of the album, it's so good and so original. Love it: the music, their voices, their style WOW

They are very real people and the music is proof. We need more of this.
This band is F*$king awesome!!!! Their songs are catchy and I find myself singing their songs all the time. Please come to Atlanta.
tracyanne hill no, they definitely need to come to Miami! :)
I vote for MIAMI as well!
they are! they're opening for Tegan and Sara on May 15th :)
Oi, and then Santa Barbara afterwards.
Wow! These gals sing better than birds!! The band is superb and well polished.
Two of Us On the Run is the best one
They are one of the only bands I know that sound better live than recorded - this is a really great video recording!
What a breath of fresh air this band is, fabulous...
I just heard "The Punisher" on 88.5 WXPN a couple months ago and checked this out. How have I never heard of this band before?
"Go Home" is a bomb, their vocals celebrate the power of voice! Brilliant!
Great band! The slide guitar work on that Sivertone/Dan Electro is just brilliant.Vocals are heavenly.
I saw them in September 2018 at the “Zonnehuis” in Amsterdam. A very fine, high quality architectonial location.
Drove 380 km from Germany (one way) to see them..
And it was a GREAT concert!!!
their harmonies, their songs, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT
I'm pretty obsessed with this performance!
Lucius, your full KEXP performance is utterly gorgeous! :-) x
It was done in the past. Check out '60's, 70's music.
Wow! Great reference to Tuneyards. I agree with this 100%!
well put my friend...i have preached this for decades now....let it breathe
there is so much in those ?empty ? spaces..
much love-me
Loving the Totoro sticker on the one guys guitar :D Great show! Thanks for having them KEXP, you guys rock my world out here in Ohio.
Saw them for the first time on a sunny afternoon in England, End Of The Road Festival 2014, stunningly original and so talented, and such good musicians, I now have a new definition of Bliss.
Damn good music ! Real musicians !
Anyone else discover this from CMT Crossroads Sheryl Crow Threads? Love you guys, so unique and so beautiful!
That version of Two of Us.... wow... just wow. Should be released on audio
Really like these guys, new to my ears but will soon be very familiar with their material...
So far pretty much everything from KEXP sounds fantastic!
This concert is so good that I'm listening it for the fourth time noun. Each of its moments is perfect, everybody is at the top of their game, refined music, full of energy.
Lucky enough to see this tour. These ladies bring me to tears.
they're friken musical geniuses!!!!! true musicianship at its finest... ahhh
Just saw this band in Chicago last week and it was honestly one of the best shows I've seen in recent memory.
Still, this is truly amazing.
Saw this group on UK TV last night - what a treat to hear people who can really sing
