One thing I'm jealous of with the fold 2 you have samsung dex desktop mode, looks really good. I hope all of android phones eventually get something similar.
I have a duo and I’ve been trying to use this setup, but every time I plug everything up I’m not able to utilize the duo it doesn’t work. Is there anything on the software side I’m not aware of, or sure it work as soon as you plug it in.
Would love to see the Duo literally dock to a USB-C hub and allow full Desktop mode like Windows 10 with multiple monitor support in extended mode. The minute this is possible, I will buy one as I'm looking for the perfect device to replace my Surface Pro and cell phone, make calls and get some IT work done on multiple monitors! One extended monitor is great but is multiple monitor support possible?
Hi Will, this is awesome, its a real game changer. One question though have you tried installing the Remote Desktop App and connecting and controllng another PC. If Remote Desktop works well you could then use the Duo to operate a fully functional PC in the office. This would be brilliant for those of us who are working remotely due to COVID or travelling e.g. #Vanlife style.
It works but you're limited to the resolution of the phones display currently. Hoping 12L comes with full screen support on externals and pair with Windows 365

Ty, this is actually pretty good. At first I thought another waste of time playing with adult toys. Back in the late 90's I had the Compaq IPAQ pda with all the accessories like external keyboard, mouse etc. Im in my office in NYC & my boss (a big time flaming feminist) comes in and sees me playing with my contraption and says "why don't you just use a laptop"? I tell her I don't have time to wait for a laptop to boot up. Her response was "maybe you need to get a new lifestyle", she was right, I put my toys away and became an adult & started using the laptop. But this DUO looks promising.
I'm probably a bit lost here, but what's the point, it seems to be endless videos protecting something that not even exist, sorry for being that outspoken

Ice this is the first thing I thought about when I heard of the Duo
I like that. I need the accessories outside the monitor to do that.
You can also go into Developer options and Enable "Force Desktop Mode" and "Force experimental freeform windows" it's literally the best.

Just a thought did you go into the settings and see under device if your able to turn off original display once you plug it in

I've been using the rog2 with the display dock. This duo video looks more well supported then the rog2 version.
I don't understand why MS doesn't have something like dex baked in. Especially since Microsoft pioneered this feature on windows mobile.
