Hey thanks for reminding me how much I actually love photography. Also thanks for being an all around good dude 🤙 miss you already!
Ha that pick up truck situation sounded well funny. Yeah take more photos, I mean nothing to regret about it 👍🏼
Thanks for sharing our catastrophic fail NYC story, Jesse 😂😂
I hope you did the same for a lot of people. The part about being like less afraid to shoot really hit me.
@@AnthonyDo hahahaha!
Thanks for coming onto the show Jesse! It's always cool to see old photos and hear the stories behind them!
Heyy, I'm a flight attendant and your story made me feel good because I did that for one passenger too. He asked me if I could take a picture from the cockpit over Greenland. So I took like a lot of pictures and he was happy. But you made me realize that this dude will probably talk about this day to his friends and he probably feels good about this day too. So cool 😎 didn't realize it till now how I impacted that guy!
Good on ya! Thats amazing!
🙌🏽
Who's next on photo Stories?!?
Peter Lindgren or Teppo Haapoja please
Benjamin Jaworskji from Germany... may via Video call
DAREN PETTY
I’ll come on! I have 169 subs and 2 years ago didn’t own a camera! You know it makes sense haha
How bout Bono
I've been looking forward to this episode for so long. Of course Jesse wasn't wearing shoes. haha
I hope i get to see more content like these on your channel too man. Love from Mizoram
Legends says that he neither was wearing shoes while doing this podcast…
hey Chris, I'm thinking to buy Eos RP or a7iii what's your thoughts? Mainly for portraits, fashion, lifestyle & landscapes
It’s nice to have Jesse on a podcast type session since his last appearance on Matti & Pete show. He puts so much effort in just the first 10 seconds of his intro on all his videos. Jesse for bubbly water!
It’s so cool to hear you guys talk about your photos and the stories behind them! I love the memory aspect of taking photos and I think that’s why I’ve switched to shooting film primarily for my personal work and on my channel. Looking at a film photo and all of its color shifts and imperfections is like you are looking at a memory.
*Who else just loves Peter? 😍*
*Who else just wants Peter as a dad?*
@@FLAVIOCREATES sign me up
hahaha you're too kind.
No we don't love peter that is why we are watching this🤧🙂
Me
A. LOVE this series!
2. Jesse is the best!! Fun to see his photography!
That Dave Hill waterpark shot blew my mind years ago, his adventure series was a massive inspo back in the day!
Grain just adds that extra bit of nostalgic feel to any photo. 💯
Loved this format. I genuinely laughed out loud, reminds me of my love for photography as well
Jesse is the da boss 💪
😘
Pete's face lights up when he's talking about photography, LOVE IT!
I remember it was Peter’s red wayfarer in the thumbnail.. that I saw and thought.. I have those too. He seems like a cool guy, I should check him out.... and well, now he’s one of my favourite youtubers! Your art is inspiring!
I love your photos but I love so much more the stories behind them. Thank you for sharing these beautiful moments with all of us.
I've been watching PM for years and this is my favorite series you've ever done. I loved the tutorials for the purpose they served, but now I've become way less focused on the technical aspect of photography and just love hearing the stories behind the shots. My favorites are the shots that would never be posted on social media but have a rich history behind them. Love this man. Keep it up!
I remember watching an episode with Jesse about Instagram stories before! I think that was waaay back.. nice seeing you guys doing a video again! 🤙🏻😎
Easily one of the best series on RUclips!
THANK YOU...I also appreciate the ISO as a tool for a moody photo. So many of my friends always try to run the ISO low, and it just bugs me with all the tech we have in the world right now especially. If you want to get rid of grain, you can. But high ISO has never ruined a shot for me, ever -- within the bounds of not blowing out exposure of course! -- in fact, many of my photos are high ISO and I also think it adds a bit of that filmy feel without it being film. It was nice to hear you both comment on that. I got so frustrated by people telling me I'm not professional if I shoot auto ISO, or use higher ISO. Some situations just call for it, and it can definitely be your friend.
What an inspiring episode! I love photography so much. I love it so much and I've only ever shot with the shittiest digital cameras and phones, but for exactly the reasons you guys said; it's about the stories that would've faded otherwise, and that euphoric feeling of getting a stunning composition.
* Peter and Jesse bonding *
Matti: 🥺
The passion, the friendships, the stories. I am all for it.
King of quality peter
Who agree with me?
Thanks!!
I love this series! Makes me think back to some of my favorite photos and the stories behind them. There is something magical about photography and I love that more people have access to do it and save their memories.
What I like about those conversations the most. Not only they are interesting to hear, but you can also hear a lot of tips and ideas for inspiration if you are careful enough to hear 🙏🏼
It's just so true! Photography one of those things that I think it's almost impossible to ever get bored of because every day is different! A great chat 👍
When Peter said, "Oh, I just love photography" it hit different. 🥺
Look at this photograph, every time Pete does it makes him laugh
I remember I saw the tweet about this video coming and I was super pumped. Love the both of you and you guys are shining examples of do what you love and just be yourself. Love the journey and the stories from photos. It’s amazing
I now use Google One (Google Photos) as our client delivery system. I don't know if it's just a sort of confirmation bias but when they warned about possible pixelation for compressed-quality uploads (which used to be called high-quality, unlimited storage) I actually saw some quality degradation! Glad their storage is cheap!
I was a Navy Photographer 1971 to 1975 on the USS TICONDEROGA we recovered and photographed Apollo 16-17 the last Manned Moon Missions it was the time of my life I have a lot of great shots that no one ever talks about. Sometime I'll share we of course used film not as easy as digital I would give anything to go back in time with my digital Sonys and I used Canons back then. Also shot with Speed Graphics believe it or not. We even had the same Hassleblads the same type that they left back on the moon. The Nasa Photographers had them and we worked with them directly. I'm 70 now and getting ready to travel from Florida to Alaska to trace my father's foot steps on the Alaskan Highway that he was an engineer on during WW2. Stay tuned.
Listening to Jesse and Peter makes really disappointed at my life and yet very inspiring, makes me feel like I live my life at 1 while these guys have cranked their life to 11.
I have the last photo of myself before I broke my back and almost died. I think you've inspired me to make a video about it.
Love it. I think growing up with a photographer dad helped me train my eye for what great pictures look like so I think it helped me so much, that must be part of why you are so good.
This was inspiring. No mission. No quest line. Just get out and shoot, make memories.
Exactly what I done this last weekend in Sedona. Was so tired from all the video editing for events. It was so nice just to bring out my camera to capture memories of just friends hanging out
Great to see you guys together!! Regards from Chicago :)
@Pete, I love this series, and love watching how excited you and your guests get telling these stories. Watching this literally takes me back to some of my own experiences in photography, and loving how every photo has a story behind it, good or bad. Keep up the great work!
the second this shows up I'm like YES ! ready to be inspired!
Such good vibes on this one, I truly enjoyed it, thank you. I love conversations like this, and understanding some of the inside jokes and humor, helps make me feel somewhat legitimate as a photographer
I’m loving these even more than new Peter videos and I might be his biggest fan. Such great stories, Pete!
7:09 "One World, one people"
I just realized how much of a good person and good friend Peter truly is... There was only a little bit of coffee left, and instead of taking it all for himself he shared it with Jesse, who still had a lot left in his mug. I know how much Peter loves his coffee so this gesture was incredibly nice. 🤙
Can't wait for the "Last photo you took before disaster" with Matti and his expert drone skills
LOOOOL 😂
I could watch like … an hour, of just content like this
These podcasts are so meaningful man. I was so low was just about to cancel tomorrow's adventure ride. But now I am looking forward to it. Thanks guys.
I wanna be on that seat one day. Having a swell time sharing stories while having a hot cup of coffee
The amount of inspiration and cherished memories that these podcasts bring about is insane. I personally don't take a lot of photos right now, but I really want to do better thanks to you Peter!
So true about helicopter 🚁 story. Did ope door helicopter tour in Hawaii. You can’t board the helicopter with any loose gear (everything needs straps). No open toe sandles, sun glasses, etc. best photos though. 👍👍
Peter just said he will never post the photo but he did 😂
This is straight up my favourite talk show/podcast type series on RUclips
From one Pete to another, PWHAT'S UP! What an awesome episode....as usual. I really enjoyed the banter between you and Jesse. If my smartphone camera boosts the ISO in low light, I won't complain, from now on. You're right, grain adds a bit of atmosphere to a photo. Bring on the next episode, I can't wait!
You have an amazing opening !!!
I see it in loops ...
wow... I really love that intro clip
In that Google One part, there is an Apple book in the background on the table. Don't know if it is on purpose or a little accident but I love it hahaha 😂
Saw the time length of the video and thought.. pass, too long..
I just watched the entire thing and never once turned away from the screen. Love this kind of content!
Love these long form conversations! Can we have one with Sam Kolder or Casey Neistat or Daniel Schiffer? That would be awesome 🙌🏻
That road out by Cuyamaca/Mt Laguna is great (where the drone shot of the Chevy was done I am 95% sure). I need to get back up there.
Chills
Loving the photo stories. Look forward to more of them.
I really enjoy these segments. I can take a good, very artsy, photo, but, like you, some of my favourite images are fun family images on my phone. Great stories gents.
So The Adventure....Cheers PM for introducing me to it....Never listened to AVA before but they are my new band of choice! Great Vid dudes!
Totally love the stories that come with great photos. Truly inspiring guys. Thanks.
I absolutely love this series your doing. This podcast style, photography is the topic video, I love it!
Feels so much like we need more of this series! love these interviews, such a good format
Love these photo stories!! Great vid!
Sensational vid Peter, and no offense, but at 10:55 you can see at the right side of the video, that next to the picture, on the right the layers are a bit off, parts of Peter's hands are visible for a short moment.
Spot this, while watching on phone. 🤯
Great vid, loved the long format.😉
I love this series! I'm in the SF Bay Area and yeah, the GG bridge is usually socked in.
Before I die, I want a photo with Peter McKinnon... 🥺
Photography allows us all to be historians. Pivotal moments in life are often caught at unlikely times. Thanks for another compelling video.
@19:09 - I low-key would have bought a ticket to that concert just to watch Pete do his thing. (I mean Angels is amazing, but come on... It's Pete.)
Never been faster 😂
12:15 I love grain, bro me too!! especially in portraits
Hi Peter 😂4:05
I appreciate these Photo Stories so much. We all need a reminder as to why we do photography in the first place. It's not always about the edit, it's about the experience.
I love this format! Photos are so much more interesting when you know the stories behind them. Definitely looking forward to the next one!
Sir , you Are my role model, I also like taking photos but my parents are not allowing me to study photography and I want to ask you that Did you got any difficulty to become an photographer ? Please reply 🙏
Don't do what other people wants for you it's your life and you're free to choose what you want to be because you will be the one stuck to what you want not them
Really been waiting for this episode since the podcast with Jesse
Well done dudes. I've been doing photography since I was 9 and I'm 70 now. Not a day goes by that I'm not stooked and searching for the next great shot. I love to make the vlogs as well but they will never take the place of photography.
I lived in Iceland for a year, loved it. I was stationed at Keflivic Naval Air Station.
I’m so glad you got me into video and photo work you inspired me more than anyone else in my life thank you Pete!
Thanks for the message! Thats amazing to hear!
Jesse: I'm going to make video about switching to Sony because I'm not that in to photography anymore
Pete: Hey Jesse do you want to come make a video about how much you love photography?
😂 So true!
Always love these photo stories! Such a fun episode with Jesse!
This series is def my favorite!! I have so many stories behind my so many of my photos! I’m not famous, but it does even happen to us little people!
This was one of the best episodes ever!! It was so inspirational. Now I want to get into photography some more!! Thanks Peter!
all about the handstand life. When you guys coming back to Northern Ireland :-) lots more places to explore.
“Ohhhhh fu...inally” 😂
Peter doing half the Storror whistle... Suspicious...
when are you gonna make a video that you’ll take us through the process of making your pirate crafts
Imagine an amazing photographer like Peter is telling you that you take very few photos, that's some motivation. Jesse is the most underrated RUclipsr for me.
I got my first camera and it's a 5d mk3. and my lens is an 11-16 cinema lens. it's certainly something else.
Ooooh Fffffuuiiinaly.
Epic stories these, nice dynamic between the two of you. Good stuff. Jesse's a cool dude.
Also; Proximity effect on those mics. Bit much. Sit back, enjoy your coffee ;).
fuck.....i was hypnotized for 30 minitues.....dang it
hey Pete, I'm thinking to buy Eos RP or a7iii what's your thoughts? Mainly for portraits, fashion, lifestyle & landscapes
This series is so awesome! Keep em coming
Makes me want to take pictures so I can be cool like Pete and friends. 😂😂🌴Aloha
The beast is here❤️💥
I can watch videos like this all day. Photographers talking about the memories of their photos.
Such an amazing episode!!!! This makes me want to go shooting right now! You should have Evan Ranft on the show! That would be amazing!
Best episode of this series yet!
Haha love the way pete goes into another folder and he’s like no Pete this wasn’t agreed give me my phone now lol.
Love these episodes! You’re awesome man, you inspire me so much.
