I can't wait. But I have to admit, after years of seeing endless bugs with MSFS2020, the bright red man holding an "ERROR" sign in every youtuber's video about '24 is hilarious! 🤣🤣
Haha, it was a bit funny! But the bug was fixed on site as it didn't have anything to do with the sim itself. The process of resetting the PCs for us had an issue and caused this
Same here! I am a huge Planet fan, waiting eagerly for Planco 2, and at the same time passionate about flightsim. Legendary for people like us to see something like this!
...Finally again. My prayers have been answered. Career mode with flight licenses. Just like before. So I had to buy the Collector's Edition straight away, and not "just" fly in the Game Pass like with the slimmed down 2020 version. I'm happy to support something like that^^ Thank you ♥
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, etc... MSFS2024 will be all that I had hoped MSFS2020 would be. You have no idea how many links I followed of the expo to find one of Mike Patey's Draco as it is all I wanted my Wilga to be. No more NPC camping. I get to land places for a reason. I'm pushing seventy and I gotta tell ya, second childhood rocks! The toys are way better. Way. p.s. Subbed.
You’re awesome man. I’m a kid that’s into flight simming, and seeing people who have witnessed the hobby and tech change and grow, and who are still loving to be a part of it, is truly a sight to see. Keep flying high
Nice video. Side note. I always wonder why people say things like... "Let's see if I CAN'T do something." I am a can-do person. I say let me see if I CAN do it. 🙂
Wow that's stunning! If you look close enough you'd probably see the traffic lights on the streets as well as cars, motorcycles and big vehicles. The whole scenario (clouds and white streams on the flaps included) moving at a realistic speed depending on the speed of the airplane just as in real life! What about the birds flying in the sky? The airports full of moving objects....radio communications where you can talk to the control tower just as in real life!
Never played a flight sim nevermind with flight controls but you made it look so fun with all the pilot lingo and enthusiasm for the genre. Hopefully one day i can afford a full set up.
If it’s interesting, start small. There’s a 30$ flight stick that can get you started. Trust me, I didn’t know a thing about planes and now I’m an ultra nerd. It’s a lot of fun
Looks great, I know that this is not the final version but I'm still worried about the terrain being visibly "formed" while flying over it and not far from the distance where you do not notice it, especially mountain/hill terrain.
Good review.... Yeah, "There are going to be issues" is what I still say about 2020.... So, we know about how long issues will reside in the sim with 2024, those that that go on for years. The Biggest problem is with how the company recognizes, catalogs and decides how/when to address those issues. It will continue to frustrate some of us for years to come. My biggest complaint is ATC simplistic scripting and a lack of traffic separation, traffic avoidance.
performance looks quite bad overall tbh. lots of shuddering and micro stuttering. It would drive me insane tbh , I hope they manage to smooth it out a bit on launch, otherwise I won't be buying it.
I thought it was a bug in the game, at first, but a Google search showed me that it's true...the 737 MAX does not have the distinctive "Flat-bottom" engines that every other 737, from the -300 up, has had. I'd never noticed that before.
From what I see, they still have the same errors as in FS2020, textures that take a long time to load and show them when you are close, cars that circulate through the forests, etc.
Love how u show us from start 🎉and diffrenses of it then 2020 my worries is the part getting it on and up air are the engine part hard to understand or easy to learn?
I can definitely see why, there are a lot of activities and stuff in the simulator. But what I think most people don't realize is free flight is able to be that serious simulation that a lot of people are after. Free flight is just that, no other challenges or career mode, just simple flying. And all the assists and UI elements are easily turned off as well.
I really hope - as good as it looks - that they have fixed the stuttering as things load in, especially airports. I upgraded to my max budget a year or so ago to i713700k and rtx4070ti and although it made a BIG difference to previous system I was still getting stutters.
@@ThePaulRyder34yeah, every video has stutters and bad frame times, they clearly haven’t fixed the terrible LOD code that causes it and now it has to deal with more stuff, plus for me DX12 is even worse than DX11 and in this new sim DX12 is required I believe.
Indeed me too i have a 13900 i9 and a geforce 4090. Couple of months ago i had minor stutters at airports. Now its framedrop like crazy. And what setting i choose its amways lagging. This one lags even so....
Imagine what we'd have if they'd put as much resource into making an accurate flight simulator instead of focusing on making it a game. Sadly, the people who care a lot about realistic airplane behavior number too few to justify the investment. All I want is a flight simulator with accurate physics. I don't care if that means missing out on stunning visuals. I want the plane to behave exactly how it would IRL. Not so much complex airliner systems accuracy, that'd be cool, but what matters to me is the basic aerodynamics. Why can they not get that right? It's so frustrating. Maybe MSFS2024 will surprise me, but I'm not holding my breath.
If the NEW Grand Canyon scenery is representative of the many loudly touted new features of 2024, we can look forward to it. Today the Grand Canyon is awful scenery to look at, as is the entire Southwestern desert scenery.
Does anyone know if it will be sold as a finished product? or as usual a thousand problems will come up the first days and be solved as MSFS 2020 style? Because honestly if that will be the final version it has many bugs, literally trees on the highway, a guy in red that comes out of the plane, the terrain although it is beautiful you can see union lines, the textures take a long time to set up and so on...
I will pass on 2024 since it seems like an online only software type. Woll be investing on 2020 version since it iw half off right now and is a food time for one to try it out given all the updates thus far.
Probably under NDA, but I do wish you could talk about performance and in particular VR performance. I don't have high hopes for 90hz native, but who knows.
I can talk about it. It definitely wasn't 90hz what I had. The Pimax is a very demanding headset, as well as the monitor being 4k. It was playable, but since I wasn't used to VR, I got motion sick from the sim not being that 90hz smooth performance.
@@NickFlightX Thanks, good to know. Yeah I saw vr footage on another channel and it looked like it was between 40 and 60 fps, so similar to msfs 2020. Oh well.
I think you dont realise how annoying that would be in the game but instead they actually need wind movement of trees! I thought 2024 was gonna have wind movement of trees but Im very very disappointed, also would be cool to have a moon to be able to go to and fly a UFO ship and a Superman addon
I really hope that the new version has a huge improvement of the VR experience. Performance of MSFS2020 in VR was terrible, even with high-end hardware. All these stutters and tons of other problems. The simulator urgently needs a modern engine that is really usable for VR.
While the GC looks extremely detailed, something not right with the colorization. Lacking in color saturation. Hopefully this will be corrected at launch.
It could also possibly be the monitor settings. You're right though, when I flew over the GC a few years ago, it was amazing and the color saturation was much more pronounced than these videos.

I‘m just wondering if MSFS2024 covers the globe with the same resolution detail and photogrammetry equally everywhere? For example, if I choose a remote airstrip in the middle of the bush of say Kenya or Zimbabwe, will the landscape be loaded to reproduce the same area 100% as in real life or are there going to be restrictions because of the fact that certain countries won’t allow it or possibly not important, only the more frequently flown areas?
