I absolutely love that they've added progression and in sim currency!
Would be cool if they could reproduce fires outside of career mode based on live satellite data for wildfires, which shouldn't be too hard to access. Maybe support for that won't be there on day 1 but that in particular is such a huge part of live weather in the summer out west that it seems like a missed opportunity if fires aren't included outside of career mode
I was wanting to hate on this, but it sounds a lot better than I imagined it. Like the generation of missions
It won't... it's just a jazzed up bunch of missions / activities.
I see some people crying about having to level up. Leveling up is the fun part. The instant gratification crowd reminds me of toddlers who want everything right now.
Its optional anyway, they can go get instant gratification elsewhere in the same game. They want everything right now and for others who want to play a career mode not to have it!
I hope they allow 3rd party planes to be used in career mode. Medavac in the FlysimWare Learjet, firefighting in the AzurePoly bronco, and cargo hops in the Bsquare Duke would be awesome
Imagine someone taking a B-52 to do fire fighting mission...
@@elpiloto100 Or an A380
Yall do realize career is just a mode? Like activities? We don’t have to get these licenses to do what we’ve been doing. We can still do our full flights the way we’ve been doing it. It’s optional idk why everyone’s crying about “so I have to wait and get a license now before I can fly my plane wtf”
I am going to do both, but career mode really sounds cool. This game is a much needed upgrade between weather, terrain, and missions
Well, I don't like that missions are locked behind it. You should be able to do free flight missions without having to level up that don't have any effect on your career path.
You do realize the fire fighting crop dusting, cargo and others are locked to the career mode???? You won't be able to do them in free flight, that is why everyone is upset
@@Hugo5t1gl1tz Hopefully, they eventually loosen that up. I agree it would be great to be able to do rescue missions for example outside of career mode.
@@AlexandruCarjanI’m sure someone will come out with a mod to allow it. It opens possibilities for 3rd party devs trust me it’ll happen.
People should stop complaining about grinding. It's the whole point of any career mode in any game. The NBA 2K MyCareer, for example, has become too easy. 1-1.5 seasons and you go from worst benchwarmer to superstar.
i can't wait to get home from work and jump into my second career that I don't get paid for.
Haha right!
You do get paid, Flight sim credits! Even better than real money 😅
Now imagine a combat flight simulator with a career campaign/story mode like with with all the current-gen aircraft like F-15s, F-16s, F/A-18s, F-22s, F-35s, Mirage 2000s, Rafales, Gripens & Typhoons!
Awesome! It would be cool if they brought back the FSX missions and have them remastered for this simulator.
I'm one of the people who's really excited about the progression in Career Mode. I don't know why people are so against it. Progression and unlocks are good for players wanting a sense of achievement.
Yea you are right i think it will be fun. But some people are old school lol
Great info, thanks! My only immediate career question is: Once you have your own company, can you hire AI pilots and schedule AI flights and such?
Great question. And earn money from AI pilots since you own the company. Hello dollar bills (or whatever they call the currency).
Multi-crew. WE NEEEEED IT! Guess it will surely be implemented at least in the next version of MSFS.
Great video with some really good information. Sounds great, and thank you, BG.
Wow, this is much more in-depth than I imagined. Especially the owning your own company part. Can you have more than 1 career path and switch between them? I would love to see more detail on the airline career part. Hopefully you'll do a video on how that works? Also I'm really curious to see what deal is with passengers, ground vehicles/crew and co-pilots. How do all those things work and interact? Is there still a point to addons like GSX, Navigraph and FS2Crew? Is there a reason to still have airline career/tracking addons like NeoFly, Volanta etc.?
I'm sure you can get licenses for multiple paths.
God, the tiktok music in the background is really terrible.
Great explanation Bruh! I wasn't going to by MSFS 2024 if I had to take a course, an exam and a check ride to fly a plane. So career mode can be a side task while you fly what you want!!
You don't have to use career mode at all if you don't just skip and go to free flight like normal and fly the planes you want wherever you want.
it just sounds so cool! The only thing that would ruin this is if you cannot use 3rd party aircraft, like the FENIX or PMDG
I would bet money that you won't be able to use third party aircraft in career mode.
@@underleft I do think you are right, sadly
Yes you can use 3rd party aircraft in career mode but im not sure how this will work
I want a relaxed mode, not a work-mode in the after work hours, so the single player career mode is good for me.
And I would fly often in the sim without any obligations and without the career mode just to enjoy flying and enjoy the surroundings...
But for people who want to have a fixed time in your free time when you meet up virtually and do a project together, sure, they could add this too. But not as a must for each and every flight, not as a must for a single player career mode.
And a single or multi player career mode should not be required in the future just to fly in the sim.
For career mode imagine being able to manage your own airline and you get to design the livery and as you progress buy better and more planes for your fleet and be able to fly your airline’s routes!
It is incredible, a great step and evolution in the saga. Sounds quite hard to say "it is a shame" only because of the lack of multiplayer missions.
Career Mode Vatsim is gonna be amazing I bet
if Career Mode support multiplayer, that would be cool for a fire fighting mission, with a bird dog directing and several water bombers fighting a fire.
Co-op career would be AMAZING.
That remote cargo op video is everything x 💯
It's cool that there's alot to do in the career mode. I'd imagine if we go with working for a commercial airline and are able to do some irl routes that we could do them over and over? (Like I'd love to be able to do a LAX-LAS or HNL-OGG flight multiple times)
Great overview of this new mode, looks fantastic.
I feel the grind is more rewarding than just give it to me.
This is great. Should be fun.
Love the idea - but it would be so much more exciting to do it in coop with a group of friends as a aviation company with shared recourses and planes
It would be really cool to see you do the agro spraying missions.
I will!
@@BluGames appreciate it, that’s all I see around my area so I’m really glad to have it in a game.
Wow... i was never a flight sim guy... tho i love ace combat that is waaay more arcady than sim... but im thinking about buying this.....
Thank you for the great overview. While I see myself as a pretty hardcore simmer this will be great for the times when I cant decide what to do :). Looking forward to trying it out myself.
I'm definitely going the airline transport pilot career. Wondering how many hours it'll take me to get that far. Fun times though.
MSFS 2024 pls take my moneyy, btw Great video !!
Thanks alot
Nice feature this carreer mode excecially for who want beging their first flight sim experience!
Wait so can I have like firefighting and the airliner job I can do both?
So, I can just live in the game…..
Aww man I can't wait for career mode!!
Looks fantastic. Looking forward to trying it out but its a pity about the multiplayer
Is ATC better?
What do you know about sightseeing?
What happened to skydiving?
Wondering if an SDK for 3rd party developers ? , offer custom missions ? , (FedEx Cargo)
I wonder if you’ll be able to spawn outside a building at any airport.
If you are going to work as an airline pilot, would you be working with one airline on a contract basis or it just a random one off flight with different airlines?
Amazing😍 waiting for new intel and Nvidia 5080 series to make a wonderfull pc for the coming years after playing msfs on xbox x.
Make sure you're fast on the trigger, they go fast. It's more realistic to expect being able to buy one for 3 to 6 months after they launch.
@@underleft Yeah its a wait but it will future proof the system for years to come instead of buying a I9 with issues and a outdated 4080 in 2025.
I hope we can use 3rd party aircraft and liveries in career mode, especially for airliners, whats the point starting up your own airline company being limited to the defailt airliners and liveries in the sim
It's a huge shame that missions are only available in career mode. I don't have enough time to play career mode, I only have time to jump in and play when I get a chance. Sadly, this means I am not likely to get it. I can't stand games/sims that lock me out of content.
I love the career mode very much it actually gives lot to mfs even is not the core of the game of course but the flight model but for me is a nice touch
I noticed it says compatible aircraft for each license. Wondering if you can use Fenix for aircraft missions or if it's strictly the in game aircraft when it comes to the career mode.
RIP Neofly.
Hahaha! Exactly what I was thinking. I would like to thank them for their service though, they helped fill a void.
Uh ohhh "in-game currency".... now you have to pay for your A1 Gas.... its a feature!
Can we use 3rd party aircraft in career mode? Havent heard anyone mention this yet
Yes
I hope you have to pay for fuel, loading fees depending on if youre working for yourselr etc etc.
Why are all the characters brown?
So... Is there gonna be shared cockpits in the game?
You can do shared flight deck with a third party free addon at the moment, but it would have been nice
They promised it for 2020 back at launch, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
Shared cockpits already exist on freeware addons, you can just use that
This is the usp for me for this game
Are they integrating proper support for weather radars?
Being both skeptical AND excited is the correct attitude imho.
I can't stand Asobo fanboys who'd buy MSFS and praise Asobo even if MSFS was a CTD-fest buggy piece of excrement. And I can't stand those who complain all the time, no matter what Asobo do (although I do tend to understand them more than fanboys).
do you know the release date?
Career... they've turned a sim in an arcade. Microsoft Flight Arcade 2024. Good luck to them.
You sound a little confused and hurt. You don’t have to use career mode. Lots of stupidity on here these days.. Wow. Go play XP12 - which looks like FS2004. You’ll love it. :)
You dont have to do the missions. There is freeflight with all the planes available. If you only care about VATSIM you can still do that. The missions are just a fun side thing like in the FSX days
Can you pick a non-ethnic avatar this time? In FS2020 you had to be female, Indian, Asian or black.
So happy this is single player only at the moment. Thank you for this video.
This is about six videos in one day 😭 lol
how many missions before getting boring
The developer stated that they don’t want this version to be called a game lol 😆 it is a game lol 😂
presidential missions?
Well I don't need to buy the game anymore. I was exited to get msfs2024 on the first announcement that you could do firefighting. But now it single player only..
Any news for multiplayer ?
yes
Do they have replay in msfs 2024. If they don’t have it on xbox, it will be pointless
It was confirmed
@@trechavez7987 good to hear but are you sure it is in xbox? I know it might be on pc
@@pierre9jean the developer in one of the videos I’ve watched today confirmed it’s going to be on both pc and Xbox.
@@pierre9jean Aaron Rhiens video about an interview
@@trechavez7987awesome. Thanks!
Cant say i love the level system at all. The type ratings is a great idea that gives everyone useable knowledge. FORCING people to level up in order to do stuff like SAR is dumb. I was expecting to get a choice of what i wanted to do that flight, maybe have to do a few lessons teaching me how to do it etc and then get a world map with missions to do. THAT would have made sense. Hell, if HPG can make a mod that lets me do hems anywhere an everywhere without the need of levelling and saving...why cant Microsoft
I'm just speculating but there will probably be difficulty modes so you begin with certain things unlocked but idk
@@sSpaze_yt for sure. I just know for me, i tend to lose focus and get bored just doing the same things over and over just to grind levels.
As boring as taking off in an airliner and pressing AP1 over and over?
@@underleft pretty much yea lol. Which is why I only fly rotary, and never use autopilot. I want to fly, not let a computer do the job for me. I trim enough that I dont go space shuttle when the flight stick centers but I still have to apply force to keep the nose down.
if this is true its crazy !!!
Wow
cool
Anyone wanna give me a bunch of money for a new computer so I can play one of the flight sim games before the decade ends? Lmao I’m still stuck playing FSX
I have to talk to their broken ATC in career mode? Insta-nope!
I like cheese burgers
Shame for single player career. A whole globe but only 1 person in it. Thats really disappointing. It should be free flight but career dont see why it isnt.
People already complaining jeeezz
Why virtual airlines exist.
Having this in free flight could easily become a resource nightmare. Imagine having to load in all the assets for everyone's individual missions around you - that could be dozens or hundreds of dynamic environments all loading on top of each other. I think that's why it's single-player only. Now co-op missions could be a lot of fun, and I could see those being added with a later expansion.
@@theraven214 do you download the whole world when you play? NO! I don't see why they cant apply the same streaming method? You dont have to see or load what the other person is doing necessarily other than flying which already works in free flight. its a very lazy job tbh.
You have VATSIM
My excitement level for 2024 has dropped big time after seeing all these play throughs. This is more of a level up GAME then a do what you want sim. Check rides and hours spent before being able to do all the cool stuff they showered us on the preview. So much was over hyped. The graphics I though would blow my mind but nope. Also not impressed with the planes that come with the $200 premium. I'll keep putting my money in 2020 and wait around a year for them to truly improve it. I don't fly commercial so it's even less appealing to me. I enjoy flight in general not just commercial.
you don't have to play career
Not interested. Wasted too much time in these career programs. Okay for others, but not for me.
your character looked unhealthy at 2:30
1:55 they should add fighter jets too
